In eighties Naryshkin played art-rock. At that times he played within the legendary Russian underground rock-band «Nochnoy prospect» ("Night Avenue"). He played bass-guitar for Zhanna Aguzarova, "Mushrooms" and "Atomic Biscuit Orchestra " in early 90-ies. Middle 90-ies for him were the period of psychedelic industrial noise-rock in its meditative version. At that time he was the leader of "The Frustrators". (Some of the "Frustrators" experiments are included in Paris catalogue of modern contemporary arts) Then Airat plays electronic minimalism, ambient and electro-pop combining all the styles with the eastern tradition. In 1996 he made the electronic design of "Vremya Na Prokat" ("Time to hire out" )- the joint project of Andrey Makarevich ("Mashina Vremeni") and Arthur Pilyavin (Kwartal) (two nation-wide famous rock-bands) Right at that time Airat attracted the attention of western electronic musicians and as a result was offered to take part in compiling an ambient collection at "Worm Interface" label in London. This label specializes in electronic experimental music. This ambient collection includes Airat's composition together with the ones of musicians from Japan, Sweden and Great Britain. The release was a success: it was immediately sold out. The musician should first feel for himself and let the audience feel who is on stage. Among the rest a performance of Airat is a performance of a singer, a guitarist, a poet, a DJ and a sound-engineer at the same time.
