Ok where to begin with this one... maybe some bullet points first
- Stalker is a long standing friend from Australia, I met him when I was first starting out on this path and he has always been a guiding light for me.
- More directly he is a key part of the Ruf Kutz sound - Stalker has mastered every Ruf Kutz release
- Somewhere along the way, the word "analogue" has become conflated with the phrase "badly recorded on cassette" - this record hopefully seeks to redress that somewhat
Serious now, Stalker has a back catalogue like you wouldn't imagine - prolific doesn't even begin to describe it. I’ve picked 3 steamers from his archive, all made on a bunch of really amazing analogue synths and especially mastered for vinyl by stalker himself through his incredible collection of mastering gear. Forget waves l2, we are talking Fairman, TMC, Elysia Alpha & Maselec mla-3. That is the type of analogue we are talking about. It's hard to believe that this is his first vinyl release. I know it won't be the last.
