Fledgling label ODD / EVEN burst onto the scene in November with it’s inaugural EP, ‘Terminus’. The release was quick to turn heads, with two outstanding original works from label mastermind Andre Kronert, bolstered by explosive remixes from Jonas Kopp and Pfirter.
ODD / EVEN’s next release, ‘Diffused Light Vol.1’ represents the first in an ongoing compilation series. The series continues with the ethos of the label, calling upon contributions from a number industry heavyweights.
First up, The Persuader, Jesper Dahlback’s newly revived moniker, turns out a nimble, groove laden rework of ‘Eden’, from Stockholm Ltd label-boss Pär Grindvik. A&S subsequently deliver a deep, cinematic stomper, whilst Andre Kronert concludes side A with a dread-filled piece of sinister ambience and drone. NX1 exercise their drum work on the flip-side, with a frenetic peak-time banger. Finally, Andre Kronert returns to round off the EP with a cerebral, analogue workout.
