Debuting with >I Believe< on the monumental (10 Records) compilation >Techno 2: The Next Generation< (alongside Carl Craig, Marc Kinchen, and Jay Denham) in 1990. Octave One is the brainchild of the phenomenal native sons of Detroit, MI (USA), the Burden Brothers. The band, (made up of Lenny Burden and Lawrence Burden), have had the privilege of touring live and Djing throughout the world, including the countries of Germany, Spain, Greece, Belgium, Vienna, The Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Scotland, Malaysia, Japan, the US, and Russia, among many other places. Throughout their careers they have worked with such artists as Derrick May, Underground Resistance, Juan Atkins, Anthony Shake Shakir, among others. They have remixed tracks for such artists as Massive Attack, Akabu (Joey Negro), DJ Rolando (Jaguar), Steve Bug, John Thomas, The Trampps, Rhythim is Rhythim, and Inner City. Two years of live touring and three years of recording come together for the brothers latest musical offering. Reaching back and rejuvenating their pure electronic Detroit sound, O1 produce a dance floor heavy techno journey. >Summers on Jupiter< showcases the Burdens signature rough and tumble production style. Several tracks are already gracing the decks of the likes of Jeff Mills, Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin, and Claude Young among many others. To celebrate their first studio album in four years, Octave One take the electronic beat down on the road through 2009.
