His first cut here, Cel Bogat is a rubbery and snaky track awash with found sounds and real world samples like running water, tin pot percussion and plenty of bendy sine wave tones. Its intriguing and abstract but drags you deep into its expertly produced world. Cel Urat is darker and lumpier – drums scrap along a dusty forest floor and swampy sounds rise up from the groove. Its humid, oppressive music that works as much on the head as it does on the heel and continues in a long tradition of expertly reduced house music from Romanian talents like Petre Inspirescu. Cel Frumos picks up the pace with some tight, pinging kick drums and icy hi hat slices.
