'Westphalia' is an effective track but slowly paced; solid drums start the arrangement until the metallic flanged sequence comes in slowly, as well as the 909 hats. Two minutes later, more percussive elements appear, bright claves, more emphasis on the hats, and the sequence keeps mutating and evolving constantly.
Oscar Mulero delivers two different versions of 'Westphalia': the rmx B version is a stripped down, clean, dubby remake, taking away all the heavy components and focusing on the liquidness. The other workout keeps the pressure of the original, using a short loop of the main sequence, making things more cyclical and hypnotic, while keeping the energy alive.
Closing the release is 'Circinus', closer to Mills-style sci-fi techno, with bell-like arpeggios, opaque bass drums and percussion galore.
