Cool but warm – is that possible? At least in respect of music. Because it's exactly these attributes that apply to what Carsten Rausch presents on the latest Acker release. In the case of "I Can See It", he does this trick by upholstering an elegantly designed, minimal House Groove with light melody entries – and with the vocals of Dan Morro. The voice of the member of Funkwerkstatt exudes natural casualness as well as an understated erotic feeling, which characterize the atmosphere of this track. Also "What Are You Doing" comes with a lot of housey warmth. Adding an extra pinch of rhythmic spice, this title soars up to sweaty dance floor thrust. So what's still missing? Right, a remix by Acker-matador Mollono.Bass! This one combines the casual club atmosphere of "I Can See It" with bubbling Dub Techno tunes. The result is an extraordinary sound sculpture of floating harmony.
