Auntie Flo drops his debut release on London / Glasgow club promoters Huntleys & Palmers new imprint. Hailing from Goa by way of Glasgow, Auntie Flos influences are far flung, referencing, Villalobos, Four Tet and Caribou, to Fela Kuti, William Onyeabor, and kwaito, alongside Kode 9s Hyperdub, Chicago house from Fast Eddie and Tyree Cooper and more recently Matias Aguayos Comeme imprint and some of the current movers and shakers from the UK scene.

Huntleys & Palmers have been running parties in Glasgow and more recently, London for the past three years. Their diverse booking policy has seen the likes of Caribou, Silver Apples, James Pants, Veronica Vasicka and Daniele Baldelli feature alongside Four Tet, James Holden, Oni Ayhun, Rebolledo and Matthew Dear appear at their parties.

As keen record buyers, looking to support their favourite artists beyond 3am, starting a label was a logical direction. As with their parties, you can anticipate forthcoming releases to comprise of well packaged, good music.

Side A: "Highlife". With an old school house feel, Highlife's infectious tribal chanting will stick in your head for days, your girlfriend will pester you to find out what it's called and requests to 'play it again'
are imminent.

Side B: "Goa". Tropical and enchanting, Goa's charm lies in its subtlety. Auntie Flo's wide influences become apparent as Zither melodies vie for attention with double handclaps over a kwaito / funky-led rhythm. Watch out for a forthcoming remix package with mixes from the T. Williams, DJ Sdunkero and more.
