Americhords 2004 Enter EP get a double reworking by two of our favourite producers: Dan Curtin and Mark Broom. Ohios Dan Curtin [Metamorphic Records] delivers two diverse interpretations of >Tighter My Grip<. His first >Track mix< is more in keeping with his recent stripped down productions on Tuning Spork, with a sharply produced linear reworking which focuses in on the original tracks vocals and shimmering synth riff. His second >string< mix sees him turn in another of his signature Techno-Funk classics, as only Dan Curtin knows how. Long standing D1 collaborator Mark Broom, effortless as always, rearranges >Phoenix< into two pulsating 4/4 grooves, with the originals haunting string line riding on top throughout both.
