This man cant currently be stopped. Following his releases through the 2nd season 2009 (>Marvin” on Compost, >Smaul 06< & >Smaul 07<) in January 2010 Acid Paulis >Riverboat Tour< came out. Now, it seems he opens this years summer season with these two psychedelic thrilling tracks. Even though he had been touring a lot with The Notwist last year, Acid Pauli was pretty often an invited, musically refreshing guest in Berlins Minimal Techno (what ever) scene. Den Mahlstrom Rauf leaves no doubts about. Great build up he does by keeping tension over five minutes to unlash finally the madness charge with a levitating reverse-ducking-compressed melody. Den Mahlstrom Runter (a play on words of travelling on a boat and getting milled…) seems to be the return from the trip he gives on side A. It is the same track reworked. His musical drama goes faster but deeper under the cortex – but >how lucky a fate< deliverance comes at right time taking the track over to a known housy and deep realm.
