david vunk is on the roll as a dj but also he lives the true spirt studio life in his atomic bunker downtown rotterdam city. his newest work is a 12 inch on his own imprint sublabel moustache techno series called omega strap ep. the a1 track shadow police is a pumping tr-808 distorted beat with oldskool 90-ies acid and with a dark obscure men voice in it, underground feel. a2 pillensmoel is a pumping electro techno track with acidfunk, crashing snare drums and a dutch porn female voice live recording. b1 track is titled come to the house a funky acid track with paranoid girl shout, some classic house samples and flanged hi hats. the last track is called no winners no losers techno with a rolling bassline, a machine kickdrum topped with deep synths. picture sleeve design by meinhard, mastered by rude 66, cutted by uncle lex. dont play this if you are under 18.
refreshingly new oldskool techno tracks by bornek nowec, a project by a rotterdam based dj/producer known for his long tied connections with the local techno scene. this release is the first outing from his large archive of techno tracks produced over the years. 4 cuts full of character that reminds us of the long nights at the nightown basement in the 90 s where he was dj ing with guys such as dj t!m aka frame six and paul du lac.
this electro release from the umx label brings you this time a variation of tracks a1 is a powerfull electro release with some oldskool hardcore sounds a2 is a more intelligent electro mix on the b side the b1 version is a great track wich leans more to the techno site but with electro influence and the b2 track is a more traditional electro track like you expect from ocitin .

it all started in march 2016 when attek and guy johnson met each other at their school in utrecht (nl). they immediately started working together on some house projects, it was the beginning of a great friendship. when mentor and friend dj caspa sended over some oldskool vinyl which he recorded from his magical collection, things really took off. with deep characteristic pads, uplifting drums, soft chords and warm smootchy vocals, attek and guy johnson went all out with this warm ep. strctr is proud to introduce another beautiful piece of art, mastered once again by the house legend dj steaw.

nice price deal !!! texture series vol7!! as the title of franco cangelli s (head of mowar) new ep suggests, it s all about blending the raw aspect of dance-floor grooves with the deeper emotional side of the spectrum. denizen combines elegant and funky sh-101 riffs with dreamy pads and old skool 909 beats. the title track raw emotion can easily be summed up as jacking beats, larry heard bassline, deep detroit strings and dbx-like bleeps. in other words, all the essentials of machine funk! a floor filler without a doubt, both summing up the essentials of techno with a hint of oldskool. on the flipside, just before dawn is a stripped down house groove with smooth rolling beats, suggestive chords and funky goodies. who stole the soul throws raw beats and a deep bassline at you, but is mellowed down by rhodes chords and sweet melodic deep house in a glenn underground style. special rerelease of this killer release !!!
the complete twr72 - lucid release wasn’t enough so it gets a remix treatment by psyk, henning baer, rod, neznan and twr72 itself.
psyk kicks off with a tom based space out remix of lucid. heavy soundscapes and pads are layered over the fine rhythm of toms. henning baer takes care of aporia with a weird metal loop kinda vibe and a straight forward beat rhythm to keep the speed.
twr72 gave colloquial a groovy treatment. with minimal, filtered and slightly oldskool elements they changed the original parts into a little killer. talking about minimal, on the flipside rod delivers greatness on lucid with his cut and slide technique. neznan closes the ep in style, because his style is impeccable. when you thought you’ve heard it all, neznan jumps in. an experimental take on erudite is what you get. and like always, there are hidden messages in his music.
after 100hz bosconi is proud to announce another hero from the undergorund uk techno scene joining the family: having previously released on such labels as down low, headspace, 7th sign and his own iridite label, rei loci from glasgow makes his debut on our the florentine imprint with a massive four tracker ep called -holding pattern-.the record starts with deep driving transportation of the detroitish techno and hard-to-find dancefloor weapon -deep blue-, previously released on iridite, here on it s original -unedited- version, followed by the jacked out swing and soulful vibe of the more atmospheric a2 track -horizons-. flipside instead consists in the subliminal acidic pump and sensual mood of -serchin- as b1, while last cut is taken by the ethereal, psychedelic, afterhour jam named -mal-. oldskool, good school
nice price deal !!! atesh k. is a dj/producer from cyprus. he is running regular beats records with mustafa goze aka asi.now releasing a smooth techhouse tune on outland records. oldskool sounds flying round your ears and a throbbing beat to make the people dance. atesh k. is doing it again!anoesjka, a fresh female dj/producer from amsterdam fills in the b-side with a deep, stretched remix and gives it a proper redirection!
welcome to fourth vinyl release on kickmasomaass records. this record called psychical disorder ep is a great four-tracker for all hardgroove techno fans. it contains one original mix and three winner remixes from psychical disorder remix contest. andy bsk has this time created one great psychedelic hardgroove track with great bassline and heavy kicks. the percussions with the psychedelic melody synths runs into delirium in every hardgroove head. the second remix is from lorenz b who is living in italy. his hardgroove techno remix with hardtrance elements is simply perfect. great bass, great kicks, great percussions. definitely one great track for every club and party. third track is coming to us from spain from two guys called jcortes and eloy palma. their remix is heavy and dark. brutal kicks with dark percussions will destroy every club. the last and fourth remix is from slovakian music producer buchtotronic. nice fast hardgroove track with oldskool hardcore and tekno elements will destroy every tekno party. definitely one of best remixes in psychical disorder remix contest. we made it one more time and bringing you a great record. so don t wait any longer and support our label with purchase of your own piece. enjoy!
the intensity of neznan his personality and talent made us decide to go all the way for this release. his story is remarkable and feels like a paradox. his musical ability is full of details and his creativity is a perfect match with float. if you take your time to understand his visions and incomprehensible ideas we’re sure you will love this piece of art as much as we do.
way too many words will get spilled if we’re going to describe every single track. the tracks are filled with the tiniest details without them ever sounding complex. his love for the oldskool elements and techniques blends well with his forward thinking approach. above this all we have a splendid jeroen search remix.
two additional tips to enjoy the vinyl release to the fullest.
1: place the vinyl on your deck, press start and watch magic happen when you look into the silver pin.
2: are the locked grooves sounding weird? no, you re wrong. neznan decided he wanted the 45rpm locked grooves on a 33rpm vinyl.
nice price deal !!! michael knoch strikes back with 2 explosive primetime trax. some years before (1995) he played together with andy düx in vienna in different locations. >code of eden< gives you after the first break a strong pumping bassline. >point2point< is a rolling oldskool title with a long running seduction over 10 minutes! big dj support around this planet!
for their resopal debut, the italian duo metrophonique have delivered a trio of tracks that have a bunch of techno elements at their core. -high fidelity- brings together raw, jackin funk with a warm, driving bass line and scything, techy stabs while -something wrong- matches its fun, bouncy groove with an infectious and spritely melody. -deep- comes heavy with the oldskool, delivering a bed of beats and samples beneath the very heaviest of techno kicks.
with our regular 12” series both coming to end some people thought that wph would end as well. you should’ve known better, because there is too much gorgeous music coming from our small wph family to just let other labels shine with it. and so we have decided to throw caution into the wind and embark on a new story. a story in which our artists get to tell their story by means of a full album. at the heart of metrobox’ sound is a love for moog, 909 and sh 101 sounds, combined with a knack for seductive melodies and a healthy dose of vocal action. two collaborations with wph head honcho red d and belgian mc champ tlp add some extra oldskool flavor to the proceedings. and yes, we are well aware of the fact that double or triple albums are heavy on your budget and that you all prefer to shell out 15 euro for a one-sided limited detroit release instead of a 12” with three tracks you like ... so this album will come in three separately available 12”s, giving you complete buyer freedom.
fresh from their remix of jinx *car full of herbs*, bristol/london bass specialists vinyl junkie & sanxion return to asbo records alongside legendary reggae singer bushman with *talk too much*. things get busy from the start on the original dnb version, a tightly packed and weighty amen break welcomes in bushmans thoughtful melodic vocals with dubwise horns and instrumentation recreating that timeless reggae vibe at 170bpm with snatches of bleeps and pads that hint at vinyl junkie & sanxions oldskool hardcore/jungle history. dj westy on the remix fattens things up bringing the bass to the front for a real sound system smasher. the 140 remix retains the main elements of the original with added dirty bass and half time drops perfect for festival season, guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser for fans of breaks reggae and that early rave sound.
on the a side you will find sexy drummachines, the casio rz and the electribe mx1 getting in a wild penetration mode called -oldskool madness-, the electribe pushing deep garage chords in this banging beats and the casio rz-1 still jacking sharp as knife ! on the b side the slammin jack charmed the westerwäldersaw-tooth-tiger-beat from the japanese laserdose, a magnetic noise in anxious beats on epic breaks, a synaptic massage also for the headbangerballet and for all other ravers a whopping meal !
daniel stefanik is back on the track and it seems even stronger than ever before! after his cocoon album release confidence and the associated remixes (by mr. g, adam port, legowelt and matthias kaden) stefanik presents a true tech-house-monster as a dignified return to the label. with twilight zone stefanik moves away from his detroit influenced background but stays true to his oldskool flavoured vibe.
we here at wph are not ones to celebrate each and every significant number in our history. we do not even consider numbers to be that significant. but what we do believe is that every story has its ending and that every ending should come with a bang. and so we have decided that the regular wph series and the coloured vinyl-only series will come to an end together with one last release. we breing you a collection of three of our most wanted tracks with a little bonus thrown in ... we suggest you go really oldskool and buy double copies of this one, because you will want to play these back to back!
COUNTRY CITY REMIXES (CROWDPLEASER / WASHERMAN) (10 INCH)
10 Inch 02.07.15
washerman who is steadily proving his outstanding craft since many years, delivers yet another uncompromising oldskool house cut to shake the floors worldwide. slightly ravey with a bouncing acid bassline riding on a driving beat: a sure play. crowdpleasers remix refers to an end of 80s / beginning of 90s house music style by using retro drummachine sounds and a prominently mixed hypnotic synth melody, which both somehow remind us of old david cronenberg movies. crowdpleaser is an experienced cat and a long time contributor to genevas cultural dance music diversity. he has co-produced the critically acclaimed album *2006* with st plomb and has released many on-the-point tracks ever since. emerging from st plombs debut album country city country, these two remixes almost desperately have been waiting to see the light (on a 10 inch vinyl release!). we think: these two remixes make another swiss crop-of-the-house release!
note from herr vunk: yess, boys and girls, its medication time! dark deep oldskool acid techno from heart and soul of rotterdam made by moustache records chief david vunk and long time underground hero mario cyb-x 010 gucci.
limited 2014 repress !!
mike shannon literally kick(drumm)ing it oldskool and giving another example of his plain amazing production skills whilst thomas melchior is up for some reduced connaisseur house setup to kick in like bathing salts do (used externally, btw)
nice price deal !!! after ab initio 04 comes…ab initio 05… sometimes it really is that simple! what is not so simple however is how sebastian san manages to always stick to his sound and still deliver one fresh release after another. the fifth installment of his own ab initio imprint is no different: three absolute storming tracks bringing you that typical vibe to make you lose your mind and body. >photonics< takes up the complete a-side, tweaking and twirling with heavenly chords and synths, it is one of those tracks you can play to really lock dancers into your groove. >horsepower< is a bit of a rougher affair with a serious oldskool chicago twist, but still very much sebastien san of course. >kepler 22 b< rounds off the e.p. in style with a minimal dubby workout that should have maurizio fans storming to the booth for a track i.d. in a matter of seconds. three different tracks, three times 110% sebastien san quality. bring on ab initio 06 please!
ambivalent & michael l penman debut on ovum with *shimmer*. having found a very fruitful collaborative friendship, michael l penman and ambivalent (aka kevin mchugh) have begun exploring the intersection of their approaches to music-making. they originally connected when kevin discovered michaels music in 2010. after playing many of his productions in his dj sets and including them in a mix-cd (_ground) release for minus, kevin made contact and the pair began exchanging files and swapping ideas. this led to time in the studio together and yet more file exchanges. quickly a natural creative balance emerged as they found that their production techniques were complementary as is their shared love of groove, bass and musicality. for their ovum debut the duo have delivered a trio of tracks that have those three elements at their core. title track shimmer brings together raw jackin funk with a warm driving bassline and scything techy stabs whilst chevalier matches its fun bouncy groove with an infectious and spritely melody. final track memogram comes heavy with the oldskool, delivering a bed of beats and samples beneath the very heaviest of acid-kicks. not for the feint of heart!
panic girl returns with her long awaited first studio album lowlands to be released on infiltrator records, following the critically-acclaimed burn and rise ep and the panic girl remix ep, which joined together artists like dbridge, phace and duo infernale.
this 12-track lp is a very personal and unique journey into the mind of panic girl, exploring the depths, dark corners and sparkling mysteries of trip hop and electronica and not only thrusts panic girl to new heights, but is also highly addictive and deeply enchanting. with this album panic girl is further developing her own sound, taking in haunting melodies, a love of the bass, heavy synth work and oldskool sounds. lowlands will leave you wanting to hear more and is going to be an album to treasure for sure - if you let her take you on a spellbinding journey into her raw, dark and pure electronica universe.
