slam city jams is back with its second release, produced by young brussel based artist kassett. this multi-talented dude not only makes great music, but also does visual arts (look at that amazing fanzine coming with the record) and has his own label & artist collective called midlife. kassett aka gavin vanælst isn’t about genres, but about emotions when it comes to his music. however, asking him what he would call the sound he makes, his simple answer is: rave ambient. the all i feel 1 million ep‘ is a record full of diversity. it reaches from emotional and dreamy, arp-based ambient tracks with rave and trance references, to broken beats, weird synth solos, up to a rough but melodious techno tune. finally the cherry on top of this special ep, is a remix by lobster theremin regular imre kiss. he delivered a dark and dubby version of the a2, that sounds like it was recorded underwater.

midnite spares, australian music devotees andrás and instant peterson hold a candle to overlooked avant-pop and electronic works by antipodean artists and outsiders working through the 80s and 90s. through co-presenting weekly radio show strange holiday, the duo slowly upturned their locale for inspiration - archives, country bookstores, private collections and convenience stores, searching for a place to anchor their own identities in the oceans of the island continent. the 10 tracks acknowledge a minor history, passed on via a network of friends, friends of friends, the libraries of radio station 3rrr and more often than not, the artists themselves. renowned mixed media artist maria kozic enters with the mysterious downbeat of trust me, her partner philip brophy responsible for digital and analogue sonic construction. a recurring character in andrás and instant peterson’s investigations, brophy reappears with a score piece from his divisive feature film salt, saliva, sperm and sweat, recorded as ??? magical, mystical and straight from the heart: after -until then, goodbye- and -a day in the life- the hamburg based art curator, dj and producer lawrence releases yoyogi park - the third part of an album trilogy for mule musiq in collaboration with artist stefan marx. the album explores unknowingly relations between his very own ambient productions, acoustic sound experiments and the driving force of the dancefloor. the artwork is showing a 360 degree view of the yoyogi park in the heart of tokyo, that stefan marx created for a fanzine for the printed matter nyc book fair in 2015.

copehagen s music for dreams are very proud to present new swedish signing 55 cancri e (aka sara hausenkamp). born in 1989 in malmö, this talented musician/artist started out learning classical guitar as a child before playing keyboard in different bands in her teenage years/early 20s. in 2013 she moved to berlin and began playing keyboard/guitar/singing in electro duo ‘naftik’. as well as music, she also expresses herself through illustrations, collages, photos, writing, painting, fanzine-making etc. and studied at the school of comic art in malmö.‘55 cancri e’ is hausenkamp s solo project started in the summer of 2014, an amazing six track mini album of perfect night music from outer space, tunes covered in diamonds - a melting pot of sensitive guitars, crying synthesizers, barking flutes, mellow wine glasses, combined with gorgeous organ/melodica and haunting voices. the end result is a beautiful, melancholic and stunning debut drawing comparisons to artists such as this mortal coil and cocteau twins... limited vinyl with stunning original sleeve by the artist - definitely worth investigating.
