tom demac tears down the gazelle twin original compositions and rebuilds them with feverish candor. *belly of the beast* pounds hard with rubbery percussion and rattling hats like chains, the gazelle twin chants her mantra *i ll beat them all at their own game…* demacs padded cell like production is most definitely some of the best work we have heard him do to date, and this dark sound aesthetic spills into his take on *guts*. like an electro take on a john carpenter score, demac carves out a futuristic and desolate take on gazelle twins celebration of urge resistance and taking pleasure in the complexity of the mind.

boris brenecki and darko kolar (aka katran) regroup as ontal for a horo ep that combines their instinctual brutality with a deeper probe into their penchant for experimentation. lead track ikaris flickering storm unfurls a rhythmic rage that rolls over you like a turbo-charged synapse exciter. at its peak ikari feels as if its about to explode into shards of jagged, forged synthesis, but pulls itself back from the brink to reignite its hostile oscillation. r-amen bends the famous breakbeat over a concentrated twin-drop, peak-time 130bpm eruption, while vigilante is a punishing machine, built to instil palpable tension. in blinding form, headless horseman takes apart ikari and reconstructs it as a hyper half-step technoid stepper, complete with a guttural drop reminiscent of the more advanced strains of 170bpm music.

having already issued a few cassettes via his own harsh riddims label as well as cgi’s sister label dka records, ryan parks brings his fit of body project to cgi for his debut 12inch, release. here we are treated with two previously unreleased original cuts as well as galcher lustwerk and twins reworks of a pair of older tunes. fit of body’s sound is unique among the current crop of bedroom dance producers in that it can ignite a dancefloor while still feeling deeply personal. this mood is enhanced by the way parks colours his tracks with his own voice. his approach to adding live instrumentation to the arrangements lends a handmade delicacy otherwise lacking in so much hyper-quantized machine music. these are tracks that will feel at home in the dj booth, your living room and your bedroom.

suction records is excited to unleash the 3rd vinyl ep in our series of archival releases by a rx-101 aka dutch producer erik jong, who recorded hundreds of afx / rephlex-inspired tracks from 1997 to 1999, which remained unreleased until now. continuing with our roland sh-101 themed artwork, rx-101 s -ep3- pairs the 101 with it s acidic little brother, the infamous tb-303. there s been a lot of renewed interest and hype surrounding the revival of acid techno in recent years, but rx-101 s acid offerings are not the slow n slinky variety favoured by most of today s acid revivalists. instead, ep 3 contains 6 tracks of crunchy, blown out, high-octane rave acid. long-time afx/rephlex fans will recognize the sound immediately - the 6 tracks found on ep 3 are eerily reminiscent of those sought-after rephlex classics, the universal indicator series of 12inches - released anonymously by aphex twin and his kosmic kommando on rephlex from 1992-1995..
