skinny pelembe corrals together a cast of talented friends for his new ep. it�s his most ambitious release to date, boasting a different group or artist featuring on each of its tracks, each of them an act he�s met through music or through linking with brownswood�s celebrated talent development programme future bubblers two years ago. across its four entries, he bridges hip-hop, psych-rock and jazz-influenced tangents, cutting out a diverse cross-section of the city�s music scene. it�s a document of the connections he�s made as an artist, and is the most collaborative project he�s worked on so far. the title of the ep comes from some advice which skinny noted to himself on an old notebook. each of its songs started as a rough idea which was then fleshed out and re-imagined with his collaborators.

following their album save! aka colder & mutado pintado are back on dlm, with another deadly attack! kamikaze style. we ve been waiting a longtime for an i:cube remix. we ve been fans and friends since his debut and we love that he strayed from his more technoey recent work, as great as it is. this is full on psychedelia, almost rock in its approach. a trip, not a track. russia s great hope (not ivan drago), lipelis, hot on the wheels of his macdonald flack and the ack-ack pack pack remix delivers two radicals/tangents. police & robbers. they fly high, both in their own manner. rainy monday is dubbed out in space with that jungle screw feel. slowed down breaks that are all the rage with the yoof, apparently but lipelis takes it to another level. last floor his version of darkness in the middle is a trickster, you d think almost ambient kraut before you end up on an italo-piano-expansives beach.

lost spaceship lok44 returns to its home planet, and it has been mightily upgraded with alien bass technology since dropping ghetto of the mind and derailed on trust over 10 years ago. bous is a vigorous comeback, touching on lean and mean electro funk, broken house, and hypnotic outer-orbit bleeps across its four tracks. lucky owners of bous s two highly sought-after precursors will recognise common stylistic threads spanning the decades, but just as before, lok44 prefers to veer off on tangents, sketchily exploring unknown bass music quadrants. second release in the covert systems series, limited quantity.

it has been half a year since we released the last max cooper ep on traum, so his new finished ep comes in handy for all of his fans and people interested in the grey zone of techno vs. electronica. max coopers new release the >egomodal ep< comes as a 4 tracks ep and adds up to a great piece of music. once again it focuses on dynamics and tangents, along with the concept of complexity and simplicity. the >egomodal ep< stays true to max coopers approach to link a mathematical structure with a simple one. we are happy to say he has succeeded to fuse complexity with variations by still finding time to focus on details and keeping up that nice randomness which makes his music so appealing also for clubbers and djs.
this release is extremely diverse in styles and offers in its vinyl version everything from the dark detroit electro styled techno piece >epitaphy< that evokes old detroit days� to the melodically trembling >autumn haze< that is a huge track because its flow is superbly programmed ... to rippertons mighty house hymn of a remix, ending in the basseline monster >raw< which looses its teeth towards the end.
