the next release on our label is coming from berlin based nick beringer and we are very happy to welcome him on board. we have been following his work for quite a while now, so we were more than happy to receive this demo from him. the three tracks that we have chosen are a bit different from his usual productions and are working well in different situations or hours of a set.

understate:ment s debut on yydistribution opens up a new chapter within the notorious mannheim-paris connection, as berlin based label head, tolga top, steps up for his first solo ep. state003 , is a dancefloor dazzeling three track journey, influenced by grooving acid-house and hip hop inspired breakbeats. being backed by a slamming remix from the gathering affilate, nick beringer, makes this a must have for all the dancefloor twirlers.

sunset wax records is a new independent label founded in 2012 by the italian dj producer gianluca brancaccio and based in salerno. its goal is to print on wax the fusion from the modern warm deep house sound and the old raw house feelings, that fade as the transition from dusk till dawn. first release coming from the talented berlin based nick beringer, with 2 excellent house tracks remixed by giovanni damico and the boss label gianluca brancaccio! vinyl only for wax lovers!

the new bomb on echocord colour comes from nick höppner and scott monteith aka deadbeat. this is the first ep by nick höppner on echocord colour. nick is maybe most known as being the manager of one of berlins most infamous record labels, ostgut-ton, höppner may not always receive the same lavish praise as ostgut artists like ben klock, shed and marcel dettmann, but there is an argument to be had that he is the best of the bunch. höppner only releases sporadically, but whether it is solo or alongside lee jones as mymy, his records are always remarkable. the 2 tracks for this release are both peaktime tracks. deadbeat did the remix.

returning for a fourth ep on the label, berlins nick höppner continues his exploration into an ever-developing and rich production vocabulary. the rough goes with the smooth in perfect harmony on -a peck and pawn-. höppners unique sound design leads to a dense wash of sound sparkling with airy details and his characteristic sub bass subtleties, as the whole track gels together in a pushing modern house triumph. the spaced out and traveling -she parked herself- is a real fusion of the many influences behind the producers inspiration. bubbling percussion and pretty melodic structures fuse with a melting analog bassline in this high-tech and positive jam. with its heavy bass and late-night atmospheres -swivel flick- slows the pace in a warm, dubbed and droning thinkpiece that is just as cinematic as it is direct for the club. jostling just beneath the surface youll find a wealth of details that really shows off nicks talent and dedication to a non-standard groove

the members of my my met and became friends through common interests in music, but it wasnt until they ended up as neighbours in berlins mitte, that a lifestyle of committed partying, cake baking and long studio sessions lead to their debut release on playhouse >klatta< in early 2005. it was the result of previously downtempo producer lee jones (hefner) working and partying with local berlin djs nick höppner and carsten kleeman, who are residents respectively at panorama bar and watergate. following up their recent fantastic 12inch on circus company butterflies & zebras is beautifully tripped-out expansive ambient house, summer after-hours here we come! recorded live with nick and lee layering fx over the organic percussion as the mix develops. an acid infused bassline is slowly opened out as layers of lush strings and shimmering pads are teased into the arrangement. on moneybowl the boys show the more jacking side of my my. taught and lean with a groove that keeps on evolving, while weird and wonderful bleeps and clicks bounce around the mix. for the remix, john dahlbäck twists the pads from the original and adds his own synth stabs. then pulls out a bassline and arrangement that jumps straight onto the dancefloor
