lee burridge, lost desert and junior akwety return with summer vibes all the way. following last year s subtle monster lingala, they bring the sunshine once again with three tracks. elongis vocal floats above its foundation of warm sub bass and groovy beats and always seems to induce at least one person in the crowd to sing along. even though we know they don t speak lingala (a language from congo). mona yo is a little groovier. floaty house music for outdoors. talking of floaty, the ep is wrapped up by float on. its pretty for sure but has a certain drive thats been rocking the all day i dream dance floor all year. close your eyes and daydream.
lost desert and lee burridge return to get weird with an ep aimed squarely at the dance floor. k bug is a steam train slowly gathering pace as it moves forward. the chugging groove and fat bassline has been whipping the crowd in to a frenzy everywhere it s dropped. hinduma is a tracks that causes the mouth to contort while mouthing out the wonky synth line. and reply to sender is a slow burner with a trippy ethnic melody and a drop that goes all mystical. three tracks for the clubs
lee is a fan of deserts. (no, not desserts deserts) and with lost desert creates two atmospheric musical visions for the dance floor. out there under a mystical night sky * stand up right* is the soundtrack. recently featured on lee radio one essential mix and this years robot heart set from burning mans saturday morning sunrise both two tracks take you right back there.
ready to get weird this summer? matthew dekay and lee burridge certainly are with the launch of their second imprint in 6 months following the success of their first label all day i dream. while adid represents their love of all things emotional and melodic and embraces thier signature sound perfect for their outdoor parties of the same name get weird will see releases geared towards the music they play after dark. a place to showcase more dubby, techy, slinky and sultry rhythms to hypnotize dancefloors when the sun goes down.

the days are longer and lighter already and that can only mean one thing. summer is on its way lee burridge and lost desert return with sunshine days in mind on their loopyness ep. an apt description indeed for the title track. its infectious groove rolls forward, making you want to get up and wiggle your hips, this track has funk. a live guitar lifts the track halfway through, as stuttered vocals and string-like synth lines take you away to other worlds. over on the other side of the vinyl (or track two for digital fans) is botanic. another summer daze, groovy, light and airy with a slinky fat bassline and a warm breakdown. music to close your eyes and drift away to, this track has been a firm favourite on all day i dream dance floors since last summer. the ep comes to a close with 12cc featuring junior. a dubbier groove underpins the whole affair while glass-like melodies and laid back synths sway back and forth. its a patient groover that rewards those who take the ride.
for over five years, all day i dream has been where deep and emotive meet house music. propelled by a community of forward thinking artists drawn around the scion of master curator and sunset/sunrise set specialist, lee burridge. all day i dream formally welcomes lost desert to the label with the release of lingala, a two-track collaborative effort with burridge himself, that also features junior on vocals. lost desert was picked out of obscurity after burridge discovered his music while trekking in a remote area of a long lost land. a fast forged friendship inevitably lead to the studio, and lingalas the enrapturing sophomore result. the duos first project together debuted on lees night time imprint, get weird, earlier this year to widespread support. lingala, is a beautifully composed ten-minute sonic journey. built around a mystical lead vocal sung by newcomer junior in his native linagles the raw emotion slowly builds in intensity over propulsive basslines and deep melodic grooves . gorje hewek & izhevskis interpretation of lingala is a markedly different affair. focussing on musical layers rather than the vocal the duos signature spacey atmospheres and minimal rhythmic percussion add extra strings creating uplifting moments that contrast the originals mood.

omni am came into existence from the disparate musical tastes of adam collins and marky star during the strict 90s chicago house scene. making use of a wider palette of sounds and rhythms, the two formed an act around an eclectic live pa and their unique vision of unpredictable house music. with resident advisor calling it as good as house music can possibly get, beat dis is a breakbeat salute to house music and was featured on fabric records tyrant 2 by craig richards + lee burridge. dangerous is a minimal tech classic with omni am s signature rule-breaking style. originally released on swag, the song deepened the groups long relationship with the south london record shop and its crew. presented now for the first time with updated masters, this release is for fans requesting these rare songs, and also for a newer generation who are eager for their own copies
i still hang around goes the deep haus mantra from clouded house (lobster distribution) label boss lukas lyrestam. stockholm born but currently based in london he had this to say about the record hang around is equal parts club-tool and introspective banger, for the moment you should be leaving but you got nowhere else to go. scandinavian masters is a solid gold thumper harkening back to the glory days of jesper parnevik. on the flip-side two alternative versions give the tracks new legs. common labour alumni powel (fresh off a tour with lee burridges all day i dream outfit) delivers a smooth house odyssey remix while x-kalay mainstay kask goes 100% techno on a remix that takes no prisoners. make sure to keep an eye on the estonian upstart as he debuts on common labour in 2017 with an ep of his very own. hang around ep is a vinyl only release, limited to 250 copies worldwide.
tim green is back with another brace of high impact club tunes of the sort that have made him one of the most in demand producers of the day. whether serving up rolling techno treats for cocoon, essential mixes for the body language series on get physical or laying down compelling club sets in the dj booth, brit tim green is unstoppable right now. here he steps up to the get weird imprint with two more tantalising cuts that show just how broad and brilliant an artist he is. stirring opener for a memory is eleven minutes of wordless and intoxicating female vocals, slick rubbery drums and plunging bass. the overall effect is hypnotic, rolling and perfectly groovy, and it will no doubt have whole dancefloors locked under its spell. some little melodic explosions, sweeping filters and luscious pads all help add a real air of grace to proceedings that mark it out as another classic from green. for a distant memory is a subtle but noteworthy reworking of the same cut. in this one, the drums are less direct and more stripped back, there is a focus on the angelic, glowing pads and on spine tingling slices of synth that are reflective and emotive as they drop in and out. it is a perfectly trance inducing, heart warming cut that the likes of lee burridge at his all day i dream parties, or various djs playing on a sun kissed terrace around the globe, will all lap right up. these are two more essential tracks from the ever on point tim green.

paper tree sneaked out into the world for a moment a few years back and then vanished. lee burridge loved the track so much that he continued to harass rebelski, sometimes standing outside his window in the flower bed, for weeks on end until he finally agreed to let lee release it on all day i dream. not content with a single track lee went back to rebelskis garden and tapped on the window repeatedly until he agreed to make some more beautiful tracks. obviously pestering producers in this manner bares fruit. the paper tree ep ranges from a beautiful solitary solo piano piece that wouldn t be amiss in a british period piece drama where someone dies unexpectedly leaving the survivors to deal with it, all the while maintaining their stiff upper lip. fly the kite made us want to go outside and do just that. so we did. it was epic. circles and squares joins paper tree as one of those dance floor moments best experienced with ones eyes closed. myriad is the sound of a young lady robots jewelry box (yes, we predict robots will be wearing jewelry in the future) that she(bot) pines to hear when she s all grown up and rusty. omoshiroi is, well, its just so damn pretty. good work rebelski. good work.
all day i dream invites a few new names to the labels summer sampler season. alongside a few familiar ones too like lee burridge and lost desert with their much anticipated absent without thoughts. gab rhome and superlounge keeping it groovy. new music from new artists include budakid, phck and zone+, each one a unique flavor in dreamland.
things have been heating up on lee burridges smouldering get weird label in the last year. picking up serious momentum with a consistent flow dispatches from the likes of dance spirit, hauy, superlounge, tim green and more, each release has been a startling jolt from the all-too-comfortable road-middle into more diverse, uncharted pastures deep in the sweet spot between house, techno and electronica. this next release from brand new artist kaled is certainly no exception. get weird? get to know tunisian kaled shows depth, range and rudiments beyond his early-man status. a deep musical spirit with a penchant for poignancy, taste for theatre and strong sense of restraint, theres a timeless evocative feel running throughout each of these three unhurried, subtly-orchestrated gems. the field & the sun sets the scene, a palpitating progressive beat is laced with strident string strikes that build layer upon layer, creating a cushion for a goosebump-inducing late-entering piano line. nemo, meanwhile, finds itself in the midst of another swooning set of strings. ignited by a percussive pebbledash and leading with the distinctive middle eastern instrumentation, the backbone is maintained by a devilishly simple and hypnotic synth riff that holds everything together
as we welcome another talented artist to our family we asked viken about the first part of a two part release and he told us it s really important to understand that this ep is a series of pictures telling a story. combining the names of all the tracks one gets this interesting and dreamy sentence, on a blue road a white shadow feels the winter. to translate these pictures into music, i needed a very particular sound. since i am a huge fan of jazz music i took one of my favorite records, used a lot of samples and reworked them in my own way. from the technical aspect, i decided to reconnect with my first love: analog machines. i love working with sound textures. i stayed away from my laptop and all my vst/plugins as i felt the need to compose these tracks in an unusual way: i wanted the sound to be really pure. that s the reason why this process was so essential for me. for me, this ep is the first one to sound like this. this is the first of two releases from a deeply talented soul. a patient collage of house, jazz, acid squiggles and deep emotion. played and loved all summer long by lee burridge at all day i dream, these tracks will stay with you through winter and into next summer.
lars von lichts -from arrows is exactly one of this sort: an almost 15min live jam, both simple and sophisticated. a track for special moments and for special people, perfect for reanimating supérieur. one of the frst persons whom i gave this tune last year s summer was lee burridge, who played it straight away at burning man. admittedly, this release took some time, but we wanted to fnd the right moment and the right remixer. we considered many options but came back to one of our own people in the end. dodi palese who released his connaisseur debut earlier this year, felt like the right person to challenge this track and we were right. he has transformed it into a tribalistic high energy bomb, with an unexpected, big synth theme, blowing you away. yes, we are more than happy about this release and it was well worth the wait.
death on the balcony s tides of fortune has been the subject of relentless -track id- requests pleading us to reveal the name of the artist and track since be-at-tv streamed the bpm performance of lee burridge and matthew dekay back in 2015. joined on the ep by three other tracks there s a cohesive feel to the two friends vibe. mysterious melodies drift in and out of the hypnotic grooves on rivers of sound that could have soundtracked a star trek episode from the original series. 1700 miles is delicate and deep with a simple infectious vocal sample. don t be deceived though. when played on a club system the kick drum and bassline draw you in while the atmospheric elements send the listener to otherworldly places. we feel rather privileged as this track is marks first solo outing from dotb under his new moniker caramelli and dotbs first full length on all day i dream. marks back in the band for memories of the future which completes the release with its funky bass and trippy ambience. close your eyes and be transported.
