justice, the french duo formed by gaspard auge and xavier de rosnay, is the band of a whole generation. when the two friends were still bright students in graphic design, in 2003 they made justice a place to experiment a hybrid genre between music and image, which blends pop and electronic borders, and showcases the talents of 2 fascinating passionate pop culture craftsmen, bored with hierarchy. they met pedro winter who had just founded his label ed banger records, he immediately signs them after listening to >we are your friends< which, with its joyful and vitamin-enriched electro beats combined with exhilarating voices, became the hymn of a whole generation and one of the most important tracks of the year 2000, celebrating a reconciliation of pop music and the dancefloor.
two of alkans most bombastic reworks over one disc. his scene-defining cut of justices breakthrough club hit waters of nazareth adds a subtle chicago drum edit to the originals notorious snarl, while the australian bands why wont you make up your mind? psych-rock is blasted through with euphoric electro energy.

ibifornia, the new album of cassius, will be released the 26th august. once again, the french duet composed of zdar & boombass has managed to gather the creme de la creme on its project. ibi for ibiza and fornia for california, or the perfect cocktail between the fervor of the spanish islands dancefloors and the incredible freshness of the californian mentality. pharell williams is present on the album, as well as a totally transformed cat power. the great mike d (beastie boys), and the over-playful guitarist matthieu chedid, are also some of the prestigious names we can mention. the singles ibifornia, go up, action and “the missing are already available as well as the ep of remixes action, that have given us many good reasons to wait for the upcoming opus. once youll have had the time to adopt those songs as your new summer anthems, cassius will give you a taste of what your indian summer can sound like
after their first (very) successful album, cassius decided not to rely on their natural ability to make us dance to their groovy basslines, and came back with a daring project: integrate some mostly african-american influenced singings in their compositions to give electronic music a new dimension.don’t worry, the catchy-rythmic sound of cassius is still here. you might recognise the voice of ghostfacekillah, one of wu tang clan’s members that delivers a punchy performance on the upbeat tempo track “thrilla-, as well as steve edwards, the house music singer who sang with swedish producer axwell, and who’s also known for having lent his voice to bob sinclar on the famous “world, hold on-. we’re releasing the album once more, so that you can get back into the fabulous swing of cassius.
what if we took you back to your untroubled teenage days, when all seemed complicated and easy to reach at the same time? that is exactly what cassius managed to transpose in 15 again: a carefree music, coloured by some deep songs, like an emancipated soul, but always tormented. the hit “toop toop”, sampled by madonna or david guetta, among others, and the intense “la notte” illustrate perfectly this state of mind of the youth. pharrell williams is present on the song “eye water”, a beautiful ode to our planet and its natural resources, and cassius has got further exciting surprises for you. we’re releasing their third album once again for this summer, a real shot of freshness to relieve you from the heat!
the rawkers ep…more than 10 years after the release of cassius first album, the duet comes out with a 6 tracks project that mustn’t have left a lot of people whove listened to it indifferent. well, if there are two people who appreciated the ep, it is jay-z & kanye west, aka the throne, who sampled the famous i <3 uso on their track why i love you, turning it into an absolute popular anthem. if the former album of the band was a tribute to adolescence, here it is more about the earliest days of ours, as the song les enfants (children) depicts it. to such an extent that the rawkers ep sounds like a gigantic playground, full of joy and happiness. were glad to repress this record and to give you an opportunity to escape through this enchanting opus, before cassius new album is released.
