incarnations are back with an overwhelming 12 inch, just in time for the summer. remix action comes from ilya santana and his trademark spacediscopop, wareika bringing the deepness and rayko offering a shot of synth-driven discoid eighties. >meet me at midnight< is an exquisite hand-crafted pop piece, where you can clearly hear echoes of america (the band, not the continent), among many other things. it has summer written all over it and allow us to say that is the kind of song that makes you a better person.
ilya santana takes the original and drives it deep into space, without losing its amazing pop feel. wareika take over >make you mine< and bring it deeper than deep, close to maurizio, in a superb remix. and last but not least, madrids own edit maestro rayko shows us his powerful approach to the song getting the most out of his synth collection!

super limited 12 inch in screen printed sleeve with bing ji ling and barck+prommer remixes ... limited to just 300 copies, pressed on delicious 180 gram vinyl and presented in a silk-screen printed sleeve, >make you mine< is quite the 12 inch to get your hands on this autumn! the opening track of incarnations forthcoming debut album >with all due respect< is a sundrenched balearic bomb if ever there was one. handsome threesome daniel collas, quinn luke (akabing ji ling) and bart davenport soaked up all the good vibes of the tarifa studio on the south-coast of spain, just in front of africa, where the mediterranean sea and the atlantic ocean meet, and transformed them into little over three-and-a-half minutes of pure loving goodness, reminiscent of the 70s west coast sounds among many other things. on remix duties we have christian prommer and alex >jazzanova< barck taking the track into the late night territory with an epic deep-house stormer, while bing ji ling makes those lazy sofa surfers get up and boogie while the sun is setting with a strong ny flavour.

last spotted on the exaltics’ solar one imprint and the hague’s notorious bunker label, enigmatic producer q-chip unleashes a 6-track ep on gnosis, following the labels inaugural release from myriadd (aka mantra). ‘access consciousness’ is the logical 21st century progression in an electronic music lineage that can be traced from the blueprint laid down by kraftwerk’s ‘man machine’ aesthetic through drexciya in their various incarnations. armed with his machines, q-chip harnesses the energy of pure voltage and sculpts it into sonic visions of the future, whilst acknowledging the rhythmic foundations of electro. this is music that is in essence synthetic and yet at its core human. immaculately produced and conceived, utilising precision tooled beats, deep analogue basslines, eerie glacial synth work and economical vocals deployed to maximum effect. dynamic and inventive arrangements ensure this slab of wax will be in the crates of many discerning electro djs long into the future and should appeal to any ears seeking science fiction through sound.

nice price deal !!! a good year lies ahead for sonar kollektiv: one of the stables most successful and most enduring horses is back at the starting gate. after a hiatus of seven years micatone will finally release their new and long-awaited fourth album >wish i was here< in march. with >gun dog< we get a jaunty candy as a taster for the enhanced richness, maturity and deepness of the berlin based fieve-pieces sound. in addition to the original album version the 12 inch features a more laid back rendition (shuffle version) and a remix by sonar kolletiv honcho alex barck. after his widely acclaimed remixes f.e. for incarnations and jeremy glenn, barck once again shows proof of his understanding how to make a proper song work in the club, most preferably at peak time. building up and up until half way through it suddenly breaks down to cause one of these magic, energized moments almost every respectable dj longs for. therefore, we dont see any reason why you shouldnt bag this one in!

dark entries digs deeper in to the archives of severed heads, one of the longest surviving bands to emerge from the australian post-punk independent music scene. they began in sydney in 1979, incorporating elements of ‘industrial’ noise-generation, tape cutting & looping and electronic sound synthesis. as the project developed song-structures and vocals were employed in a more-or-less recognizable mutant electro pop style. in 1986 the band released the 12” single “petrol” on nettwerk records. we’ve decided to shed light on the evolution of “petrol” with this ep showcasing four earlier incarnations of what became an instant synth pop classic.

finally the time has come! after a long 6-year wait the third edition of the popular computer incarnations for world peace series is due to release very soon. the idle time will be rewarded with a bunch of stunners: tracks by georges rodi & dave sarkys, brenda & the beach balls and anna domino will be featured on the compilation selected by sonar kollektiv-a&r-manager alex barck. of which more later, when the release is ready. to start with, an outright highlight of this set is gonna come out as a pre-release 12inch including two contemporary reinterpretations.

andy meecham is a man of many musical incarnations and has been since the early 90s. following on from projects like the now dormant bizarre inc and revived dub-disco duo chicken lips, it is as the emperor machine that he explores his most experimental sounds. to date there have been three full length albums on dc recordings after the project was initially started with the idea of creating music using just one synth, the roland sh-3a. the results lay out the staffordshire mans love of vintage synthesisers for all to see, and combine tough edged disco beats with more cerebral cosmic melodies into alluring soundscapes that bend your mind and drive your feet. as well as a slew of 12s and lps, the emperor machine has also turned his hand to remixes of giants like moby, daft punk and royksopp, and has previously taken a live and inspiringly psychedelic incarnation of the project to clubs and festivals across the planet.

deathday (formerly deathday party) is a los angeles based experimental post-punk band, formed in santa ana, california in 2008 by brothers alex guillén and giovanni guillén. previous incarnations of the group can be traced back to santa ana s koo s scene of the late 1990 s. while the title-track is an unreleased one, instead dropped into obscurity was already included in the downwards compilation click heels alongside with tropic of cancer, silent servant, the kvb. on the b side mannequin asked to the synth-master legowelt to remix after dark

albinos has now been meaning to open communication channels with the baka pigmy tribe for quite some time, sadly to mixed results… this indeed represents a rather difficult task considering their take on the devil is a tall white man graced with white hair and red eyes! even though the baka people is a peaceful one, the legend goes that if they were to catch that albino devil, they would gut its organs out and turn those into an aphrodisiac concoction. strangely enough, albinos believes that his music just might be the best language to turn those antagonistic feelings into a communion, he even dreams of performing his tunes to the whole tribe, deep within the jungle, surrounded with exotic birds and the most hungry kind of predators! somewhat at times on the verge of irony, his music definitively trades with sketchy, raw and deep emotions, always sincere in the making: always a few steps away from the pre-shaped house and techno idioms, he offers his very own take on dance music, a most peculiar one. solely using old cheap hardware and an antique atari, the tracks at hand are one-take live performances, brutal incarnations of albinos simple virgin vision. as the quest for the baka people goes on, the antinote team is proud to help shed light on the journey of this obscure producer hailing from the grand north.

wonder & amazement is a record ive had in various forms and incarnations from ex chicken lips members steve kotey & andy meecham for about a year now – a song that immediately grabbed me from the very first moment i heard it. reminiscent of days gone by mixed with a touch of the new - a song that contains a mixture of both the old classic and the new classic. ive been championing it for a while now either in sets or charts, even including it on a recent compilation i did. a record that we are proud to be able to use as a soundtrack to this new era of classic.

the enigmatic french trio dop unleash another sonic assault of deep and visceral house music on guy gerbers supplement facts imprint with three bold and organic cuts for your sex. a dark broody and characteristically cheeky affair, your sex opens up this dop creation with a stripped back beat and looped vocal. low-end bass build up the title track to a crescendo that engulfs the senses in deep acid frequencies. this is a nod to the techno elite but fusing a new depth and sensuality to the genre, in true dop style. skipping into subtle and kinetic territory, half naked flirts with reverberating whispered vocals and crisp percussive beats. a lethargic and almost yearning record, it massages the energies of the body with a playful and soothing approach. last up paul ritch tackles a remix of the title track, elevating those throbbing bass elements to new levels with a fluttering and-high energy weapon made to hypnotise the feet, body and mind. dopis the musical summation of a 20 year long friendship between members clement aichelbaum, damien vandesande and jonathan illel, their musical relationship beginning in 1994 as the result of a rock & roll cover band formed for the french national day of music, experimenting in hip-hop, jazz, and reggae followed by various musical incarnations. in 2005 they made the transition into electronic music and last year delivered a highly regarded debut artist album on circus company, noted in the guardian newspaper as steeped not in orthodox 4/4 house and techno, but in jazz, classical, hip-hop and world music
