aus der genfer clubkultur kommend und mit einem hintergrund in grafikdesign, treibt owelle das streben nach einer synergie von audio und visuellem an, um ihre kreative identität zum ausdruck zu bringen. ihre kompositionen sind grenzenlos, wenn auch mit anspielungen auf frühere genres wie breakbeat, braindance und broken beat techno aus den frühen 2000ern.

one of the most coveted unreleased low rider / soul ballads. a huge tune, up there with darling dears (google that shit). only released on a japanese compilation 20 odd years ago without the bands consent (and with some of the channels missing) we bring you the full unreleased version for the first time. this is a big one for people who know the score.
if that�s not enough, we found this rather good unreleased disco gospel number on the master tapes of their private press lp sessions (also coming soon) but we had to give the ballad to the a side, roll the windows down and blast it.

from another analogue basement, amidst paranoid conspiracy theories and wild youtube truths, the heat of a tr-808 and juno-60, and dreams of forgotten utopias, comes the first secret state ep, an attempt to rise above the all pervasive, vacuous, decaying culture.

ultramajic came into the possession of meticulously dated tapes from 1995 -1998 with sharpie inscription ashtar lavanda. we had never heard this name and google search didnt bring back many results. we had uncovered a hidden treasure of detroit electro. the ashtar lavanda tapes led us on a journey to find out who the producer behind the sound was, and furthermore how did this music never get released?

harry miller aka glow in the dark is neither to be found on any social media channel nor can you google anything about him, let alone does he maintain a website. the man hides completely behind his music and quite obviously in his studio. after his debut in february earlier this year, now already a few months later, his second album drops, �into existence.�

since his untimely death at the all too young age of 32 the world has grown to appreciate the work of j dilla even more than when he was alive. there�s an ethereal quality to jay dee�s works, part boom bap but more mellow. mellow, but never soft. and dilla never stopped making beats, his mpc was by his side until the very end. it now resides in the smithsonian. due the prolific nature of his beat making, the world is blessed to have stacks of dilla material � some coming to light even this many years after his passing. in the world of hip hop, no one�s mother is more famous that ma dukes. go ahead, name check chuck d�s mom or chance the rapper�s mom or ti�s mother � without hitting google. and one of the reasons we all know ma dukes is her tireless effort to maintain dilla�s legacy. this release is yet another step in that direction. presented here, from the official ma dukes collection, are 15 works by jay dee from deep in the vaults, being released on vinyl for the first time.

following on from 2013s original maslo series, vester koza returns with a new project, prisn. the titles of the tracks are in reference to/or adaptations of permissions/commands used by the apple and google android operating systems. the record was mastered by helmut erler at dubplates and mastering and comes with full colour printed lp cover featuring artwork by sarah hammond. prisn is released on may 4th via maslo.

polymath james leyland kirby must surely have one of the most confounding cvs in the business: he spent years taking the piss out of the music industry with anthems rallying against the (vv)mcps, he notoriously fell out with various well known record labels for reasons you ll just have to google, goaded aphex twin with a series of tributes and channelled his love of everything from falco (rock me amadeus), chris de burgh, frankie goes to hollywood and stockport karaoke nights into a stream of increasingly bizzare 7 s back in the early noughties. but at the same time he was responsible for releasing some of the very earliest material from boards of canada (hell interface: 1997), made a ruck of frankly groundbreaking industrial electronic records, brought new beat to the worlds attention and, in 1999, made his first album as the caretaker, a project that would go on to release some of the most loved ambient/ lynchian albums of recent times.

ultramarine have history. as far as track records go, theirs is as close to perfection as you can get � but you can go knock yourself out on google for that - we are not here to talk about yesterday. today, ian cooper and paul hammond give us acid and butch - two timeless trax with an eye on tomorrow �

vibrations 002 comes from lhas, aka jaime read, who is here to show all these new old-school house heads precisely where to step off. a longtime cohort of foolish felix, who was horribly ripped off by a chicago legend (just google it) and the man to go to when you want _that_ vintage synth sound spotted, jaime knocks out four tracks that arent retro � they are timeless. from the classic chi-jack of >learning to live< to the swirling syncopation of >call that jazz<, these four tracks eschew rigid programming and live, breathe and ooze musicality. no remixes, just 100% lhas.

time for celebration! its been a long time since magnus international comitted anything to vinyl (kosmetisk/fp06 a good 3 years ago) with the exception of his remix for yrds afterski. undulat has been revealed in plenty of different disguises at previous full pupp nights but as magnus himself is too slow and lazy to wrap things up i gave it a good chopping here and there, voila! mandass morran blus is what it is, a beautiful piece of music... a taster of good things to come. on the b side we introduce new kid on the block, marius circus. friend and regular punter at our full pupp nights marius fights for musicians rights as a lawyer in gramo (no, google it fool...), djs around bars in oslo at night while slowly honing his production skills.
