appropriate to the golden gate club s philosophy and attitude, -its never to late for gate-, ggcr is coming up with cat.002. it took nearly 2 years for this second release, we could also say, better now then never or good things take time, but hey, who cares anyway? to the content, -golden times- is a exclusive various artist collection, trying to reflect the wide spectrum of sound we find in the place. four very different producers with four different tracks but yet a unique vibe. techno, deep house, tech house and electronica goes here very smoothly hand in hand. while only three of them, saytek, midas 104 and elizar & dromme are placed on the vinyl, samuel fach s -technologie- has been added as digital bonus.

the golden gate ep is dedicated to powder & louders favourite club: the golden gate in berlin. the infamous golden gate is well known at berlins party people and rumoured to be opened the whole weekend long. the chosen two, who are golden gate residents at the fish n slips night, created the zeit ist gate anthem in their unique style. next up is der e-kreisel, owner of spoiler music and great live performer. his funked up welcome to golden gate is a nice peak time roller and will heat up any frozen dance floor around. funkenstroem from symbionten/symbiont-music comes with a deep tech house version of der e-kreisel’s welcome to golden gate song. the symbioten are well known in berlin’s nightlife for hosting great nights (and mornings) at golden gate and releasing quality underground music!

after 10 years of existence in berlins ambitious music scene, golden gate club has achieved cult status in his own right through out the world. it is a very special place with its own living soul. yet a small venue it shows a high profile, distinct character and a very original and authentic spirit. to manifest this state, the golden gate club establishes ist own record label >ggcr<. the opening release carries the characteristic name >golden era< by swedish dj and producer anders hellberg. still a new member of the underground, his style strikingly represents what golden gate stands for. namely an impassioned, intense and organic sound with high recognition value. four tracks with the same ingredients but different prescriptions. an analog production through and through, with 303 based rhythms and blazing 80s pads. very intense and haunting but still guarding a sweet and hypnotic atmosphere.
