the third and last format:b vinyl-package is adjusted! subject matter still is the current album restless which has been taken on by big name artists of the international surroundings of the two. in pole position a1 this time is the italian uto karem. he took a shot at piano man and hits the keys just like we are used to from format:b. with his version of socks & sandals the dutch dj madskillz comes around the corner. its his second pounding release on formatik records after his carnival chaos ep. a debut however is given by the also italian artist fernando tessis who keep his eyes upon warped and who went into the remix battle with trumpets and timpani giving no less attention to his demonstration of his garland of corn on b2.
after the huge success of the catalogue number 005, formatic records has carved the next dance board. the beginning of the new year gives thanks to the constructing dj madskillz- presenting the bottom of a noble carnival-wagon, which drills itself through the castle walls of lethargy like a trojan horse. behind it the client in person jumps out of the bellies strong vehicle and brings the format:b remix, making even more tumult in the- without a doubt from luck traced- party bodies. the communal phenomenon that dj madskillz describes as >carnival chaos< is also being picked up by ramon tapia, who (as usual) bits the celebrating horse from behind making it spit fire in front during peak-time. a movement with pyrotechnical potential in the yet young post new-years-eve-2010-era. cheers!
yes! format b are finally back with their second release on stil vor talent. after massive tracks on opposum and highgrade rec, their newest ep on stil vor talent is another huge minimal monster. kongo time is typical for the two berliners: a flickery percussive loop with some stretched out effect envelopes over a wobbly drum n bass style bassline place this track between freaky rave and minimal chic. its definitely going to make you trip out for sure! on the flip its the funky mondo time that builds up over some cuts and bleeps until it leads the listener into pure euphoria when the simple loop kicks in. a huge organic subbass and some chopped-up vocal sample add the funk to this delirious minimal hit and when it comes to minute 4:00 you really won t be able to hold your feet still. format b are at the top of their game and we are so happy to have them!
d stephanie and philippo team up again for a fine set that mixes broken beats, soulful vocals and enticing melodies. freedom fighter will certainly become a crowd pleaser at parties, but the winner is c mon and give it a floorfiller for the clubs and the party anthem for the after summer of 2006
