polish beatmaker pawel strzelczyk has been slinging out all manner of beats as teilete since 2010, largely on the u know me label, but now he brings his dynamic technicolour sound to father & son to surely catapult his skills to a wider audience. there s a rich musicality at work throughout magnetic soul/magnetic tree, as blues samples, rich orchestration, dubstep rhythms, juke patterns and soulful vocals all swirl around in a highly accomplished blender. the attention to detail is remarkable and the production is pristine, but for all the daring ideas and studio skill this is also an incredibly immediate listen that draws you in from the start.

10th release on fasrat is the debut record of mr yo so hailing from the west pomerania region of poland (same as his label mate das komplex), rafal reich is an experienced musician. from playing piano in modern jazz groups to woodwinds in a brass band and synths in his home studio, his music displays rare sensibility and an ear for lovely melodies. delicious brings together six tracks recorded during last few years, from dreamy new age-ish soundtracks to proper balearic sunrise/sunset anthems, with obvious echoes of 70s lords of synth. cheesy, yes, but its this kind of rich, mature, delicious cheese we all like, dont we?

poland s father and son records and tapes present first proper outing from label boss maciek sienkiewicz - three heavily edited tunes from different periods of popular music history. -the white sheik- turns an obscure 80s eastern bloc groove into a full-on modern disco stormer, while -no shit sherlock- is 70s brazilian fusion redux. finally, the title track turns first few notes of one massive pop hit from 02 into hypnotic, entrancing journey in the vein of terry riley or philip glass. fantastic cover art designed especially for this release by renowned contemporary artist paulina olowska.
