dials sublabel laid comes up again with a double feature for true house music lovers. catalogue number 11 features tracks by uks juergen junker and our wellknown buddy lowtec. after playing together at the legendary sud electronic/ uzuri parties in london efdemin, lawrence and carsten jost fell deeply in love with with juergen junkers amazing dj & live sets and his wonderful productions. his own label neurythmics was like a secret treasure to be explored. followed by a lovely release on efdemins naif imprint he now enteres the laid zone with two deeply rooted house pieces. lowtec has always been a main influence of the dial/laid family and after his huge underground hit of last years workshop ep (laid07 with kassem mosse) he presents a dirty rhodes stomper to hit the house floors again. freaky alert!

since dial was established in 2000 there always has been the musical influence of isolee. from his first 12inches and his debut album >rest< on playhouse, rajko mueller was one main source of inspiration of all early dial artists- pantha du prince, efdemin, lawrence, carsten jost. more than that he became a lovely neighbour living close to the riverside of hamburg, a good friend whose pasta sauce would take a whole day to cook, and still a musician who would spend an extra long time to create his extraordinary pieces, drifting from version to version.

second part of the fabulous 2010 compilation 12inch series celebrating the 10th anniversary of dial records. carsten jost continues his lovely hymn productions after he delighted the dancefloor with the unbelievable remix for phantom ghost on dial 49. with kassian troyer a new star is born and his very first release >tourist< is an outstandingly deep techno mover never to stop. rndm who is part of the efdemin cooperation pigon comes along with >no beginning<, a grower for all night peaktime madness. oh my god!

a beautiful electronic folk journey, a strangely interwoven thing, an acoustic spinning, a patchwork rug made of fictional stories and pseudo-scientific hoaxes in a time obsessed by authenticity. this 12inch comes with 3 versions/remixes of dial rec. label mates carsten jost, efdemin, pantha du prince and raboisen.

when dial records started in 2000 with a bunch of friends highly inspired by deep house, detroit techno and cologne lovetunes, nobody of them ever thought about running a decent record label. the only concept david lieske, peter kersten and paul kominek had in their mind was never to be part of any proper record business, never to be controlled by any rule or trend, always to let the record label be a part of their love for music and arts. even the dial family was never intended growing that big, almost 70 percent of the artists on the first compilation are the same on >2010<, the history starting from a small label based in hamburg turned out climbing a high mountain. touching cities like detroit, tokyo, paris, berlin, buenos aires, releasing music like contemporary classic, drones and glitches, ambient, guitar pop, singer songwriter, deep house, minimal techno, discovering arts of protagonists such as michaela meise, sergej jensen, dirk stewen, hanna schwarz, anna mšller, cosima von bonin, all this fills a decade of dial records. but still the main part is the music and as we hold the 2010 compilation in our hands and listen to the tunes of phantom ghost, isolŽe, pantha du prince, carsten jost, john roberts, efdemin, lawrence, christian naujoks, dominique, rndm, pigon, kassian- we still have this enthusiastic feeling that wants to tell us: this is only the beginning
