from quebec, with love is the first ep from sleazy, a project from stacy boudreault (marie davidson) and sam paquette (ginger breaker). an ode to the rural and suburban quebec experience, sleazy is the progenitor of suburban techno. sleazy made their recorded debut in april 2017 with the single que calor, released as a limited edition cassette at a party headlined by helena hauff in montreal. described by npr as equal parts inviting and menacing and pitchfork as playful and sensual music made for the family home s basement a soundtrack for all the salacious discoveries one might make in that damp, dark incubator.

after appearing with c-beams recently,break sl strikes back with a massive track called desert flight that has already been causing a stir amongst the uncanny valley crew for quite a while.over the course of ten minutes the track unwinds as an analogue slowhouse trip that is dominated by a gritty synth figure.with typical sophisticated break sl drums,radio transmitted messages directly from the cockpit and a freaked out siren its a track that is not from this world. the flipside starts off in a more classical manner with the rumbling house of amorphed limits. the track is distinguished by rapturous synths and gets spiced up through additional drum work by break sls partner in crime manuel sander. beercase song originates from collaboration with dresdens universal genius max rademann. his quirky keys and break sls drum workshop create a dirty piece of funk which rounds up an eclectic ep by a versatile producer.the cover artwork was created by visual artist and designer julien simshäuser who illustrates the trip that is desert flight.

jakob korn, break sl, thomas froehlich, cuthead on the first release of this ambitious new label from dresden. with its foundations firmly rooted in house and open to all styles such as techno, disco and dubstep. its a small community of friends and producers, djs that meet each other the old fashioned way, the local record store fat fenders. the first release is a true house-affair. thomas froehlichs >get us< is a mysterious and breathtaking opener with beautifully plucked strings and a summerish feel. jacob korn with the surprise track on this record that combines intricate soundscapes built on an uplifting groove. this guy is on a roll! on the b-side breaks-prankster cuthead unleashes an unusual deep house study entitled >unacceptable moustache styles< before the record concludes gracefully with break sls late night jam >low light<. we ve said it before... the next generation has arrived!

the make up the break up is the first release on bruno pronsatos own thesongsays label. its the longest track in his catalog (38 minutes), and an even deeper excursion into his stylized harmony. this track was originally a track uncompleted while making, æwhy cant we be like us. revisiting it roughly a year ago, bruno began to reword it. what began as simple attempt to create an ep track out of it became a monster. what monster you ask? in a few words, the monster that is brunos love of musicality and sound design. muscially speaking, we are on a ride somewhere between a slithery house track and a drugged out night out in chelsea, new york in the 60s - and thats a good thing because we get the entirety of the ride: the ups, the downs, the clouded mentality, the broken heart and perhaps the mended one. its happy, its sad - its something that you can dance to, but most importantly, its music that we think you can revisit for many years, as it somehow reflects us, our lives. a playful and extended journey through love and disaster, or at least the soundtrack to it.

domino is true dirt crew style û dirty afterhours housemusic for the head, toes and itchy fingers. echoing bassline going thru the dirt crew machinery of slamming beats, dark athmospheric pads and the usual dirty samplework makes 'domino' stand out as true classic. like '808 lazerbeam' defined a whole sound, this one takes it 3 steps further with refined arrangments and finetuned dirtyness of highest calibre. 'break my body' is totally another story, relying on a funky break (who could guess its from break 3000, ehm.. ), murder kickdrum and the oldschooool bassline we could expect from the duo. its goes on, and on , and on , and on. but - what the heck, is works like a charm and its what we want, right ?

break 3000 and adam kroll take quite some chances in naming their first collaboration 'get down' cause in the golden era of funk and disco every second track that was produced to 'just' get people on the went by this title ( a quick namecheck on allmusic.com confirms close to 300 entries ). well, our two protagonists surely had a few of those blueprints in mind as they clearly quote some of the main characterisitcs - handclaps, pulsating moroder style bassline, extra thick slap bass, robotic voice - mix them up with a few drops of acid, a rough guitar riff plus majestic paino chords and distill everything to a luiquid, sleek state-of-the-art house funker. the flip is more introspective and very atmospheric with darker, moody chords, yet the galloping square bassline and the omnipresent sharp highlight make sure that 'tonite' theres no parking on the dancefloor. when the players arrivea the club...beware

the nomads remastered reissue of their album solna, recorded by the swedes in 2012, limited edition of ww 500 copies. the tracklist here is following the 2013 us release of the album, comprised of nine original album album tracks, but cutting three tunes to have those replaced with three songs culled from the loaded deluxe ep.
