almost twelve months after delivering the gastronomic delight that was sugar slow, foundation man gerry o rourke returns with the astrologically astounding gemini ep a joint tribute to adam goldstone and simon freaked brant both of whom sadly left this planet last year. appropriately enough, we kick things off with a track cunningly entitled on an esoteric, minimal techno/house joint with shades of dubstep adding to the slightly ominous feel. we then lift the mood slightly for the quirky, retro, synth heavy techno inspired house of the title track, before bringing things bang up to date with the furiously futuristic rapid recal, and then rounding things off with the veritably funky raze dilemma. a worthy homage and another fine package from the foundation camp

foundation music return with the second ep in their back to now series, with 4 cutting edge tracks that reach out to fans of techy, twisted and deeply emotive beats. as the title suggests, back to now references the past whilst hinting at the future, and this is reflected in the selection of artists and tracks. from nostalgic house music in the true analog spirit of the genre, to dark drexiycan funk and twisted techno, theres a place and a time for all of these, putting the pioneering veterans and new names side by side.

phace aka florian harres veröffentlicht sein fünftes album “between” auf neosignal recordings. zuvor veröffentlichte er vier alben: “shape the random” (2015), “raum und zeit” (als neosignal) (2013), “from deep space” (2010) und das legendäre “psycho” album (2007) auf teebees label subtitles.
phace, momentan wohl deutschlands bekanntester drum & bass-produzent, hat seit 2003 einen eigenen sound in der internationalen drum & bass-szene etabliert. neben future music awards und “album des monats”-auszeichnungen im britischen mixmag magazin, kamen unzählige signings von internationalen labels wie virus, renegade hardware, vison, subtitles und lifted, so dass phace international und über die genregrenzen hinweg ein echter star geworden ist. seine musik erscheint in sets von größen wie goldie, andy-c, pendulum, noisia, spor oder d bridge. neben all den weltweiten touren schaffte es phace in zusammenarbeit mit misanthrop ende 2008 sein eigenes label neosignal ins leben zu rufen.
