dug up from the crypts this one is set to explode. todd terry esque synth stabs over top of some larry levan flavored beats. all the accapella pieces are included and on the flip joeski gets to work and brings this retro house jam to the forfront. with a simple bassline and some dubbed out effects on top and a harder kick...

the very first release on the new cheap sublabel cheaprecord rocks comes from the promisingindie act freud. >sex you again< is already aired on heavy rotation on fm4 radio and reached the #2 position at the austrian indie charts.
upon yous first release of black gold in 2010 is a compilation shared by the cheapers, mathias mesteno, channel x and onno. the cheapers have given us a track that is slightly more technoide than what we have become used to, with an absolute bass beast called madame sans merci on a1. mr. mesteno has given us the second part of tante dunkel (once again paying homage to one of copenhagens most illustrious night creatures) with this house track. the first part was released on our last home sweet home compilation. after flipping the vinyl, b1 unveils channel xs last offering before releasing their debut album on stil vor talent”in the beginning of 2010, making us all the more pleased about this dependable club track. b2 is reserved for our dutch colleague onnos kicking tech house track that shows that upon you know how to start out the new year in the right way
lfm (love for music) or more commonly known as stilove4music is back with a straight banger from detroit and what a treat it is. with countless releases under his belt and with kdj, theo parrish & marcellus pittman under the 3 chairs moniker, the godson aka rick wilhite is already a legend in his own right. his productions are simply unique. can you feel me is ricks second offering for lfm. it is a deep, relentless detroit house joint perfect for the late late night set. dj marquis – a newcomer on the detroit house scene – set things straight with a soulful house jewel – head over heels that somehow should make any new jersey producer worried for a minute. finally, tj dumas, one of the creator of the beatdown crew, set things straight with his personal vision of disco. these are the lost tracks from detroit, songs made by detroiters for detroits sweaty dancefloors. enjoy a rare piece of music. ltd backstock
3 new edits by mike simonetti of italians do it better. three post punk jammers put to wax. part one of his mike series. mike decided not to go the typical route and edit rare baleric tracks or unknown boogie. instead he went into his past as a punk and did some re edits of post punk gems. you may recognize some of these toons. he promises to bust out the rare joints next time.
superfly disco and funk edits from the detroit man of the moment rick the godson wilhite and his pal billy love on stilove4music. contains three proper party starters and one slow jam. definitely a buy on sight record for all detroit house and disco heads.
this is the fourth release on the daphne label, here to balance out ruffage with a bit of a feminine touch. the a side comes to us courtesy of millie, re imagining a shake style funk jam with toughened percussion and padded low end. over on the flipside andrea rewinds spectral synths in a tweaked and heavy r&b style. limited copies only!
first release on gary becks new imprint bek audio. early support already coming from anja schneider, richie hawtin & dubfire.... smashin techno for fans of berghain...
lets get down with some soulful disco house from the usual suspects. heres another massive production from super value with ltj. side a) presents cry, where spacey dubs are dressed in disco style. infectiously hypnotic, this mid tempo killer is a cry for more... side b) offers love extra another excursion in deep territories. prepare to be stunned by exotic rhythms, soulful keys and synth patterns a la moroder to take you to the edge of and ambient finale.
with the release of their new single, >you got me burnin<, the long wait for the new track from the dj / producerteam, milk & sugar has finally ended. as in their last single >stay around<, the munich duo has skillfully intertwined their typical house grooves with the soulful voice of ayak, who once again delivers a dynamic, energeticperformance. milk & sugar reconfirms with this new song that for a great house track, not much more is needed than a driving beat, a phat bassline, piano and a good hook.
last october, their previous co-operation with ayak, >stayaround<, reached top positions on the club charts in england. this, despite the fact that the track had alreadybeen released in 2007…
phat hell remix taken from peaches last studio album -i feel cream- released early 2009, -lose u- is definitely one of the highlights! written and produced by peaches and james ford and jas shaw aka simian mobile disco the original single was one of hell s records of the year. in true gigolo style hell and christian prommer set about remixing -lose u- regardless of release commitments or marketing schedules and the result is found here on this limited edition vinyl only release.
nice price deal !!! austria and in particular vienna finds itself the focus for new and creative sounds - phlox is a fascinating imprint promising dubstep, plentiful low end and an intoxicating blend we can only describe as neuro garage. a new label, a new identity - and a refreshing music policy - simply that they dont actually have a music policy.
follow up to the top 5 smash release me agnes is back with a wicked remix package for the next single featuring grant nelson & 3beats very own cahill & ali payami.
incl delete remix !! big with martinez, paco osuna, cirillo, okain, yakine, italoboyz, danny tenaglia, samuel l session, butch, anthony collins, john digweed, varoslav, gorge, 2000andone, peter kruder, slam, sian, technasia, hernan cattaneo, einzelkind, nick curly, seuil, luke slater, karotte, richie hawtin, ...
we all know gunnar from countless kick ass parties in berlin. he has always been a reliable force as a dj, especially when playing together with fabiano. now he’s taken a turn at the tech house crossings towards upon you and had the right tracks on board to impress our head of a&r, marco resmann. he not only demonstrates his talents as a clever wordsmith but also his great musical taste with >cubicle< and >open you<, proving that everything that has been said about him is true.
take a journey into late night new york house where everyone raisess his or her hands to praise the gospel of the dj. big moses delivers a musical sermon of house music with lead vocals by the angelic pam mcdaniels. for a beefed up bass organ filled jersey house vibe play the >trinity vox< mix.
having already released eps on both made to play and sister label front room, as well as dirtybird and kindisch, and with guns still blazing from his recent hot remix of the gossip, this sampler ep serves as a tantalizing prequel to riva starrs artist album.
upon you 029 is a split double a-side ep. mathias has gone for his patented sway technique and has released a shameless, no regrets, rave monster from the murky depths of his chicago-house box. whereas marco resmann, on aa, has taken a subtler, cooler and more secretive approach, venturing out into the dub countryside and having mz sunday love whisper the words: i will love you into this chrystal clear arrangement. two distinctively diverse quality products from the upon you family
co-producer of the lastest tiefschwarzs bomb >trust< and full-time member of souvenir, philipp >sante< maier spent the summer with ali and basti on the road, every time warmly praised by the crowds of fabric in london, watergate and weekend in berlin or sonar festival in barcelona for his highly physical live-set. santé, together with adam port, rampa or &me is also part of a new school of producers from berlin, all fully dedicated to the delights of foot-stomping, straight- and four-to-the-dancefloors and already gathered under the standard of souvenir booking. so for this 22nd release on vinyl, ali and basti clinked for the third time glasses with sante, but this time, they chopped the magnum, and offered their round to rampa, re.you and david mayer
vinyl only release of this playmonster! we will manufacture 500 copies of this picture disc for planet earth. strictly limited. there will be no repressing of the picture disc!
amplified introduces new kids on the block: the shake up connection. heading from the same town as fellow label artists amplified orchestra: chicago! their debut single you got me is a super-gorgeous, melancholic affair which sees 4 tracks suitable for dancefloor play. the tunes on this ep mark the shake up connections fine blend of samples, electronica and acoustics and they get on their mojo for sure: pitched-down guises and ready to rock. the immaculate production and frighteningly powerful build-up should prove it all. do not miss!
plastique de rêves new single on david carrettas label space factory disques follows up on last years fantastic release on dfa with its summer !!, a perfect techno-pop summer hit with another great feature by vocalist ghostape, and dives further into the realms of electrodisco, synth-pop, and cosmic music. ultra synthetic and light-hearted, yet dreamy and emotional, the three tracks (four on the digital release) each capture with authenticity the essence of electronic disco music but pay tribute to it here in a very original, playful and modern way. its summer !! is a great follow-up to plastique de rêves previous singles on dfa and supersoul recordings, also featuring ghostape on vocals. this time the music goes even deeper into the worlds of synth-pop and electronic disco, with reminiscences of vince clarkes yazoo, giorgio moroder or kelley polar. the sunny, laidback, pop radio atmosphere, together with ghostapes emotional build up of the deliberately simplest lyrics ever written so far, might well keep you smiling, and dancing, all summer.
3 gorgeous deep house & downbeat gems not to be missed. feat the vocals of crazy ps danielle moore & manchesters daco & mudd on the b side an office fave simply superb!!
surprise and super-limited new release from kieran hebden, following up the blink-and-you-will-miss-it collaboration with burial on another mysteriously undorned and brilliant 12 inch for his own text imprint. on >love cry< b/w >our bells<, he succinctly shows both sides of his oeuvre, the lush love of the dancefloor, and a chance to exercise his more esoteric inclinations. the live-sounding drums, gorgeously nuanced textures and blissful samples of >love cry< couldnt really come from anyone else, especially when enveloped well into the track and the vocal loops begin to peel off into a deep house-meets-krautrock coda executed with that signature sleight of hand. if you are only going to put out two 12 inches in a year, youd expect the attention to detail to be high, and here its absolutely exquisite. with >our bells< on the flip he crafts a sublime beatless, gamelan influenced piece, like the kosmiche resonance of the flip is allowed to seep through and glimmer all over the grooves, radiating incandescent ambient harmonics with a lustrous psychedelic blur. seriously righteous wares, for the lovers…(be quick!)
the title track is a dreamy balearic disco number with perky female vocals (comes with a beatless alternate version). all out of order is a quirky throwback to eclectic 80s pop ballads, think laurie anderson on autotune (comes with a version sung in spanish)
incl alex niggemann rmx! we welcome berliner marc poppcke to the fold for his freerange debut with the far away from you ep. the young producer has been building steam just recently with fine releases on moonpool, meerestief and ostwind, mainly focusing on a deep, stripped back, minimal house sound.
a bomb in the making, holger and dave teams up w ith richard davis for a vocal gem out of this w orld ! deep, yet driving smooth house production mixed w ith richards heavenly vocals, this is hot ! on the remix tip the ever reliable kiki doing his w onders, keeping the vocal parts intact but turning the techno scale a few notches, this w ill appeal on all floors. also included the original dub version for the vocal-shy djs around !
