here is a new project introducing the farmers aka konsnix : nixxon and kons istant from copenhagen and heninspace from dresden. all started with * toss your salat*, a dubby/acid jam made during a meeting in dresden for a friends birthday, after listening the track sacha mambo decided to put it out on macadam mambo. back in copenhagen konsnix started to work on * 70a-1* a ruff electro track in the viewlex style, on his side heninspace worked on * humla* a bit more atmospheric/acid tune. if you like druggy, psychedelic atmospheres this is for you.

lost trax embody the idea of underground techno. the shadowy group, members unknown, began their music careers over 20 years ago. output may be low, but quality is high, the style being no compromise techno brilliance. and thats whats on show here. kick drums and squirming acid bars are at the core of faith, a track where soaring strings shift and reshape. the chiselled claps and barbed bass of flatliner follows, taking its cue from the heyday of detroit. a watery world of analogue abstraction greets the listener on the flip, lost being an atmospheric journey into to the squelching swamps of the tb303. sniping beats introduce the lush tones of renderer. blurring the lines of electro and techno the track is an elegant end to an ep of deep and dense layers.

the second of two brilliant eps produced by merweyn saunder and eric lewis. although this was released under a different name, they were actually all done in the set of sessions that also gave us the previous release, the virgo four ep. as far as the duo were concerned m.e. was their name and virgo was imposed on them by someone at trax. the two eps were later conjoined and released as an album in the uk radikal under the name virgo. it was re released in 2010 by rush hour.

made by mark imperial & vinnie devine as laurent x, machines was conceived in a 16 track studio with an unquestionable roland tb-303, but also a tr-808, tr-909, a juno 106, some fx and a bucket of rib tips. according to mark imperial, he and his friends (specially vinnie devine) had a mad fun playing with gear.

out-of-print since 1994, this early release from the large music camp (on sub label swing street) has reached cult classic status and forced many a collector to seek out the few remaining rare copies available. much has been said recently about the production team of black ice, this release showcases the reasons why they are so highly praised and have been re-discovered as major influences in the chicago house sound. five tracks here that all feature raw and textured rhythms mixed perfectly with splashes of melody and soul.
