people must jam is our sydney based warehouse party that we have been running for five years. the ethos behind the night initially, was to bring djs to australia that we wanted to hear but that had never been, and to put them on in intimate spaces and let them dig deep into their collections to play whatever they wanted. over the years we have brought rahaan, al kent, leo zero, mark seven, trusme, frank booker and more to australia for the first time to play. floor jammers vol. 1 is the first in a series of eps from some of our favourite past and future guests. the record is pressed on 180gm vinyl and strictly limited to 300 copies.

for another record store day release, british singer-songwriter victoria christina hesketh (little boots) teamed up with historic chicago house label trax to release the 12 inch for >every night i say a prayer<. she wrote this one with hercules & love affairs andy butler and it is better than anything on his groups sophomore dud blue songs. (it is also better than pretty much everything on little boots own spotty debut, 2009s hands.) the housey original version of >every night< incorporates a sort of cleaned-up old-school chicago aesthetic (dig the claps), but tensnakes posh freestyle rerub is the vinyls real winner. you can never go wrong with clinking 808s and pretty female vocals. fact.

for a short period in 1981 and with brand-new equipment such as roland 808, sh 101, gr 500, we made some 8-track just for fun jam tapes. mainly just to experiment for our own pleasure. from those sessions, only white horse made it to a final treatment. the rest of the material was left behind, as our record company at the time found it too different. after white horse being a track indeed defining our sound, we thought it would be interesting to dig out left-overs to fulfill a documentation of that period - crucial for us at the time. we were still innocent newcomers, without actually knowing to be creating a new sound! recently, that left-over material was transferred from analogue to digital and, to stay as true as possible to original intentions, we only added vocals, bass and drumbeats ahead of a final mix. we hope that you will enjoy listening to it. good vibes from laid back copenhagen 2012.

(also known for robots are un-american, re-released on italians do it better last year). inspired by a lcd soundsystem song tinto b. comes with this great record! we cant find the connection to the lcd soundsystem track that supposed to have been his source of inspiration, and actually we dont care... its some of the best recent italo disco we ve heard in a while! if you are big on italo vocals the a side is for you, if instead you dig deep electro disco but without the chanting, the dub version on the flip side will more than certainly send you into italo space. another hot artifact release from mr. bottin. tip! at least some vinyl goodness from lunice courtesy of our friends at luckyme. this is playful futuristic beat music that screams instant hit but if you dig deeper there is alot going on underneath its glossy surface. every track is a winner to top it all off there is a remix from our man rustie. this is most certainly a record you should spend some time with.

a tasty 4 track appetizer for their album due out in jan 2011 on lovemonk. not really edits, but diced up loops and breaks reworked with synths, drums and deft studio magic. you might hear some bar kays or dc la rue on here. fans of italo or cosmic disco tracks should definitely dig it.

las wax returns with a tight two-tracker of deep techno-house couresy of japans takayuki higo. this is definitely a departure from the typical wax sound, but this record still works nicely. a-side >big head house< has a dope minimal detroit feel to it and fits nicely with some of the recent techy output on wave. flip for >wicked tokyo< which is a blissfuldeep tech excursion for the late night sets. if you like francois ks techno side and jeff mills going deep, you will dig this newie.
