jel fords jericho recordings has been busy of late releasing killer records from the likes of smith and selway and joel mull. this is another quality release to add to that list from brazilian hotshot - anderson noise. the original itself is a long driving spaced out bomb culminating in a killer e -dancer esque pitch bend synth line. on the flipside par grindvik really gets to grips with it and pumps it up into a thrilling piece with electrifying peaks and drops. what a release!

played by villalobos & raresh !! what a way to start off 2009, a very strong ep delivered from catwash aka chris carrier & dj w!ld with remix from lemos & kreon. groovabilisme (original) hits with its’ crafty tech-house stomp, killer kick, and fun tribal groove. a very interesting concept on this production, as the deep grounding rhythm is super floor filling, yet the space between gives it the perfect air for the huge sub that just rolls this cut to the top of the charts. a sure shot for all players. kreon’s mix stylizes with more jack then jack himself. his vox arrangements give his cut a pop, lock, and rock it knack for the true school dancer. this remix takes any spot in a set, it’s got the capability to kick it big or be slow & deep, depending on how a player wishes to pitch it- a brilliant & effective production. lemos rocks the bells a for main lead rhythm, an excellent perspective to make for a clever & diversity ep. his mix creates a driving hypnotic bender with enough thump & smack to keep the bells intact and still lead the floor into a seductive sound scape of a moving utopia.

with a prime palindrome inigo kennedy, as always, provides an array of distinctive and original tracks that continue to stand out from the crowd.avoiding titles the music does the talking. bounded by an intro and outro here are four tracks that push the envelope further than most.kicking off with a brutal and driving digital assault a1 has been tearing up sound systems in many ways reminiscent of the seminal asy001.a2 builds on the intricate and mature edge of the asymmetric sound. a strong and evolving melody draws you in over a slow moving atmosphere. underpinned by a classic kennedy rhythm and characteristic of the unique way he layers sounds together.driven by a warmly distorted rolling rhythm b1 turns up the heat once again whilst over the top floats a trademark futuristic atmosphere.b2 dives straight back into the world of digital manipulation. an elastic loop is treated. its pitch slowly grows. the effect is almost imperceptible. the result is hypnotic.

part 2 of the simple, maybe release reveals the dark side of the brothers schwarz. yeah ought to be taken literally. batten down the hatches and turn up the volume, here comes a true masterpiece. naturally, tiefschwarz have saved the banger until last. there are not many tracks out there, which make you get up and dance after two bars already. the basis of yeah is a perfectly orchestrated drum beat. a steady bass drum, rolling toms, a crisp snare, all together powered by a low-pitch synth sample in the background. a sound, that is as offensive and sentimental as possible at the same time. add a well-filtered choir sample on top and you get a deepness and amplitude that can only be mastered by the finest soundsystems on the planet. like looking through a burning glass, the break shows what tiefschwarz are really all about with this track: gradually, all sound elements are shut down, overlayed by white noise that comes with goosebumps guarantee. this spring, youll better be on the dancefloor, when the drums set in again! deininger on the b-side is an almost gloomy track, driven by a dark deep-house bass line. once again, tiefschwarz play with a wide range of elements: an off-beat synth wind section, dry tinker bells and sliced vocals, well-orchestrated by a fine mix. all together this creates the perfect atmosphere for a monday morning sun rise. exhausted, dried-out, longing for your bed and a glass of water, yet at the same time not wanting to go home. great music got soul, the perfect balance, that keeps the heart pumping and the body dancing. deininger is about this certain temper, the groove, that makes you carry on.
