children of alice produzieren seit 2013 als teil des folklore-tapes-kollektivs amorphe und berauschende klanglandschaften und fassen nun alle ihre werke in einem selbstbetitelten debütalbum zusammen. die band markiert die post-broadcast-Ära von james cargill, den name wählte er als tribut an die verstorbene broadcast-sängerin trish keenan, für die “alice im wunderland” - speziell in der adaption des britischen theaterregisseurs jonathan miller als 1960’er sommeridylle - wegweisende inspiration war. neben cargill gehören der ehemalige broadcast-keyboarder roj stevens und julian house aka the focus group, mitbegründer von ghost box records, zum trio. letzterer veröffentlichte zusammen mit broadcast bereits 2009 das minialbum “broadcast & the focus group investigate witch cults of the radio age”. beide formate erscheinen im mirri board packaging (stabiler, hochglänzender spiegelkarton). die lp enthält neben einem download-code noch eine miniposter.

the bxr label was born in 1992 and is still a recognisable global brand for techno music. during the last 20 years, the label has launched the careers of a number of very well-known djs and producers such as mauro picotto, mario più and gigi d agostino.

after few releases featuring sübaka with remixes by steve bicknel (uk) and sean deason (usa), module records maked a ten years break. so we are very proud to introduce klash point guys who produced this persistence ep for this labels comeback.they are two french producers who combine fiery energy and the wisdom of experience. like a family affair! all in all, name check these lads out for more future aural excursions. on this 12inch, this is minimal electronic techno at its best, deep and dubby with a solid straight groove. then, we are sure that new ep will not disappointed you, without a doubt!

nathan bartell grew up in a little town called ashburn, georgia but soon moved to atlanta georgia where he began to perform in the night clubs. in 1973 he released “top going down, bottom going up” on the soul-po-tion label. bartell remembers: “at the time i was having family problems. my wife didn’t want me and i was deep in love. i felt at that time that i was at the bottom of the pit and i wanted to rise up out of that mess because my wife made me feel that i was a nobody. i was not good enough for her - nobody wants you when you are down and out. she felt that she were on the top and i was on the bottom. this song was a message at that time.” there is nothing for us to add except that we are delighted to bring this little beauty back to new life.

after over 10 years out of press, very limited vinyl re-pressing of the he extremely sought after dj assassin >a face in the crowd< 12 inch on cross section records. a total classic house track from 1998, that sounds even fresher today. the vocal is minimal, yet haunting and the bassline just revs like a an engine, proper house music at its finest.

as yse saint laur ant, ant plate (one half of ever productive duo rhythm plate) takes some time out from crafting refined deep house music to indulge his more wayward tendencies. amongst the music coming to light in this intriguing diversion from a prolific artist is the fantastic just because, which comes on like early wagon christ material with a modern production sheen. space is defunct meanwhile slaps down some chugging 80s flavoured grooves, 2106 reaches for the boogie and dont make me think channels a laid back balearic mindset. it s a mixed bag of a record, make no mistake. that s also what makes it marvelous.
