responsible for this tartelet release is debutant mhm one aka morten halborg-møller. he s a local lad from copenhagen who has decided to give something back to the world of electronic music that he loves so much. before he decided to sit in the producer chair, he spend huge amounts of time on his copenhagen based kill your telly promotion. a promotion which has more than 5 succesful years on it s back and has featured a huge tally of big name bookings. said promotion at which he started out his djing career resulting in him being one of the most sought after djs in denmark. being the creative and gifted spirit that he is, music and clubbing is not the only thing that keep him occupied. he also expresses himself via visual artwork earning the fourth spot in the renowned graphic art collective that is bottega areté.... and oh yeah ...did we mention what a nice bloke he is? a1: the a side features a funky little groover that will fit well into a club where punters prefer to dance. the track is build around a playful bassline hook accompanied by a simple and catchy vocal (by who made who member tomas hoffding) a really sweet minimal workout for sure, that really does the trick. b1: on the flip side we get served a dish of bass heavy house. this time it s dutch house supremo melon who sorts out the remix treatment and turns bubububadub into a tribal ish affair. suited for big clubs? check. sexy? check. playable? very much so.

sexplosion, the new ep from lenfant terrible of sophisticated techno, seth troxler-here recording under his debauched alter ego sex trothler-is a complex, multifaceted, and yet decidedly horny affair. these are the sounds of doing unspeakable and anonymous things to girls in dark backrooms and being too confident to regret it the next day…the sounds of your favorite sexual memory transformed by your overactive fantasy life into scenes of utter perversion. the first track, jusyour, combines troxlers signature use of the classic, organic sounds of detroit house and techno with an avant-garde, fragmented, almost mournful sensibility. its a contemporary jack track as appropriate for a dark, seedy club as it is for an afterparty orgy on your friends broken futon. its almost as if music could yearn and sweat and think all at once. its followed by a brief vocal internude to remind you that being a good lover always means having enough of a sense of humor to laugh at other people laughing at yourself. think tinkertoys meets the wu-tang clans black shampoo. humor aside, the final track, face, utilizes airy percussion and deep, almost cinematic chords (reminiscent of troxlers remix for another precious youth, nicolaas jar on new yorks wolf+lamb label). its masterful and restrained use of processed vocals manages to leave behind so much of the pointless darkness that has plagued techno, whether minimal or otherwise. it builds slowly yet aggressively, like a hard, focused grind with someone you cant actually even really stand. this is music for people whose time at art school was spent getting naked and not hating themselves for it.

itamar sagi from the be as one label really made a name for himself with his black gold track that was released earlier this year. inspired by the warmer and more emotional side of detroit techno he very much captured something real and true in that song which certaintly paid off in the end. here he has done something a bit different. not less good though. actually better. this is a record for those moments when you need to increase the pace but still wants to keep the soul. perfect!

burn it out is the second tracker fom this french electro label based in bordeaux & created by le 4 sans, one of the main french electro club where justice, digitalism, boys noize, miss kittin play !! electro scene in bordeaux is really active with producer as bobmo (institubes), strip steve (bnr), adam kesher (disque primeur) and now just a band which is the main artists signed by homework. their 2nd ep is already supported by all the actual electro djs that are in the move.

really dope release, this guy has a unique style of his own! on deep breath he shapes up the perfect banging techno tune for peak time play! get down is a dirty and raw cyber-techno-funk nugget to please all those who like their grooves fat and nasty! gladiator is a fantastic minimal work-out in the same vein as fortek colleague stefan tretau. subliminal deep and well balanced. schnutenzieher is a wicked techno tune in the same vein as some of the dj koze stuff.

volume two from mcedits shows a slight expansion of his concept, but mostly hews true to the rows he hoed on volume one. his method is basically to take lovely ballads and slow jams and add a little house heat. its really remarkable how such a simple methodology can produce such effective results but the proof is in the grooves so drop the needle on these for some rich rewards.

this vinyl is very special - especially for kaoz and ewe! both of them had a lot of fun producing the tracks together and recording the vocals. those guys know, what a great hardtechno record really needs: dark and stompin tracks, including rough vox to fulfill everything the crowd desire! this vinyl is absolutely fun and all what music is about: 2 the floor!

we are pleased to welcome dubnoodles whose previous releases on milnor modern and rundlauf musik certainly grabbed our attention. on this ocassion, dubnoodles shows two different sides of his music: the a side is funky as hell. both tracks show highly elaborated grooves with a very pleasant shuffly jazz feel. a must for adepts of frank martiniq, akufen, treplec.., and for those who enjoy playful forward thinking grooves. the b side really gives us the shivering. it unravels extremely emotional melodies, powerful strings and intense crescendos. fans of dial and neo detroit will appreciate. all three tracks are a real blessing. as usual, we tried to pack as much amazing music as possible in this release. enjoy!

reissue of this rare italo disco track from 83. probably our last italo disco release since most of it has been bootlegged by now but we really wanted to credit giuliano saglia for this magical release. >firelight< is bouncy 80s synthesizer disco with those trademark italo sounds and vocals (also included the instrumental version). but what should get you really excited is the flemming dalum >firelight< remix. he strips it down to the minimal and builds an amazing dark and intense version that stays true to the original sound but with a modern dancefloor approach.

amazing atmospheric minimal !! this new 12 is a guy names hugh like who drops a great alienating track called >content. nice confident sounding track that is somewhere between minimal and house. nice classy build up and use of a violin makes this a track that really stands out and breaks with the standard techno formula without being akward. very dark and futuristic... would function very well as a sound track for a science fiction movie!.the other two tracks are in the same line and make this an outstanding forward thinking release! after being around on wite label for some time we received great reaction from guys like luciano, garnier, ivan smagghe, craig richards, michel de hey, mark august and others

songs from the source is a lost and found 1973 recording of the source family. these twelve songs were recorded live in the hollywood hills as a rehearsal for a concert date that spirit of 76 - aka yahowah 13, the savage sons of yahowa, yodship, and firewaterair, now known as children of the sixth root race - had at the whisky. a 1/4 tape copy of the recording was found in chicago in 2006, though no one is really sure how it got there. djin aquarian, rhythm guitarist and songwriter for spirit of 76, recalls being sent on a mission to chicago later in 1973, where he believes he left the tape with an old friend. djin wrote most of the songs in the year before he joined with the source, as part of his solo mystical quest to help enlighten the world before it might annihilate itself, adding, im glad both the album and the world are still here.though this rehearsal wasnt meant to be released at the time, there are probably no other recordings as complete of the band doing these songs. the spirit of 76 had a different sound than the one yahowah 13 made with yahowa. songs from the source has more r n b grooved energy, with splashes of synth and organ, a female vocal chorus and streamlined fusion rhythms backing the uniquely yahowan lyrical populism of songs like godmen and lost dead but hoping. songs from the source is a miraculous missing piece of the sources positive musical movement. the members of yahowah 13 (djin, sunflower on bass, octavius on drums) were joined by family members ahom, aquariana, cinderella, rhythm, vibration, and zoroaster on lead guitar, to create the ecstatic sound of spirit of 76.

for the second exclusive >eyelights< two-track sampler ep, we bring releases from two of freak n chics finest new talents – shonky and dyed soundorom. the a-side to fnc030 comes from shonky with >bushes<. >bushes< is shonkys softer side, unraveling warm and dreamy loops and beats it is filled with luminous synths and samples. >he did something more housey, something looking more towards what i play. a new side of shonky that we dont know yet, but its really good. and you can recognise shonky is still keeping his style in there of course.< dan ghenacia shonky studied mathematics before finding his passion in the formula of techno music. his recent debut artist album >time zero< for freak n chic propelled him to the forefront of a fresh generation of producers. with past releases on crosstown rebels, mobilee, substatic, resopal and of course freak n chic he plays a main role in the new current of french talent.

another one of daves favourite producers, jori hulkkonen has turned in an equally massive rework that really utilizes the original parts to full effect, building layer upon layer before really hitting its stride and leaving no dancefloor untouched. mr funkagenda (or adam to his mum) delivering yet another electro techno monster straight out of the top drawer that gave us what the fuck and man with the red face. already road tested to a riotous response, this is set to be huge. quality gear.

klakson is dropping a hot release just before the summer really kicks in... number one gives us two warm driving house/techno tracks with an amazing vibe. sounds like daftpunk doing techno together with carl craig. on the a side we find this amazing deep house track called all the same. phat beats to move you ass but again with a beautufull melancholic topping. the aa side comes with this crazy jam called wonka. it takes you to the top with this incredible build up, ready to explode! at this moment we have no further info on the identity of dxr, or do we? take wild wild guess and listen to the production skills. two great tracks to bring the party to another level

for our eleventh release we have no other than esperanza s own jorge savoretti. after making some collabs for the label, he s finally delivering his expected solo ep. for this one, he mixed a wide variety of soundscapes and influences with precise coherence developing his trademark forward thinking sound even further. there are lots of words used to describe tracks but for this baby is really hard to find ones ccurate enough, maybe some hints would be, futuristic, intricate, martian, tribal
