release number eight on london house maven george fitzgeralds manmakemusic label, the laszlo dancehall ep, connects two of the uks most exciting young producers: leon vynehall and christian piers. the sample driven crunch of vynehalls earlier productions on manmakemusic can be heard loud and clear complementing the canny but irresistible percussive and vocal shimmies of piers. aside track gave up, championed by george fitzgerald on his recent bbc essential mix for radio one, sets the pace and aims straight at the dancefloor with its strange sonic palette, at once euphoric and gritty. on the flip we get aint no time on which vynehall and piers give us their interpretation of classic house. the final track, manley harrison, is the strangest and arguably most original of the bunch and leaves the listener in no doubt as to why there is such a buzz about these two producers at the moment.

santonio echol is back with another release on detroit dancer. first track the intimate setting is a deep, warm & soulful techno production, b1 is a remix from the classic force field track which was originally released on kms back in the late 80s! here santonio gives it a warmer and deeper detroit feel to it. b2 is a collaboration with uks mike anderson on the vocals, again a warm, deep & soulful production, just as we like it. enjoy :)

2012 repress !! recognized as one of the main techno pioneers and influential artists of the recent time, shlomi has the kind of impact usually reserved for inbound meteors, the reason for which is buried in a ground swell of genre-defying appreciation and support.

a rare chance to get hold of two of pop legend princes most sought-after dancefloor bombs on one slab of 12 inch vinyl. this great remastered reissue features the super-rare long versions of both >sexy dancer< and >controversy<. both originally only available as limited promos, these awesome extended versions went on to become underground club classics receiving heavy rotation from the likes of larry levan and ron hardy amongst many others.

assemble music returns with a three-track ep from colognes david joseph aka st. joseph, exploring further the refined, tripping path forged on the labels previous release from daze maxim. the pianos, vocal snatches and ambient hiss of josephs releases on platzhirsch are present and correct, but here the jazz flourishes are reduced down into something far slicker. these tracks have been prepared using a keen blade, and none sharper than >personal dancefloor<. heavy drum programming and a rumbling bottom end bring to mind theo parrish in his moodier moments, but the deal is sweetened by light piano, garage-like vocal samples and a deep, burning 4 love bassline. >indigo< spins the duke ellington classic into a spiralling, shuffling chugger that will bring a 30s harlem spirit to enterprising dancefloors. move the needle to the b2, though, for the eps party hit. written in 2009 and reflecting that years raw arrangements and joyous samples, >wave/table/muscle< finally gets a vinyl release, proving this sound endures to this day. expect more of the same from assemble music with their next release featuring vera and ricardo villalobos.
