magical, mystical and straight from the heart: after -until then, goodbye- and -a day in the life- the hamburg based art curator, dj and producer lawrence releases yoyogi park - the third part of an album trilogy for mule musiq in collaboration with artist stefan marx. the album explores unknowingly relations between his very own ambient productions, acoustic sound experiments and the driving force of the dancefloor. the artwork is showing a 360 degree view of the yoyogi park in the heart of tokyo, that stefan marx created for a fanzine for the printed matter nyc book fair in 2015.

walter gas ep from marcos coya is the first release of gas grabaciones, vinyl-only label from the small south american country uruguay. contains two original tracks and a blasting electro-techno remix from argentinian artist franco cinelli aka psynote. analog machines were used on making this tracks and an excelent mastering work, ensuring great sound at playing it. it’s a 300 limited copies release, with cover art from uruguaian artist carlos paez vilaro.

two years ago i played at studio 9 in vilnius, lithuania. the following day i missed my flight home and ended up spending an extra day, which gave me a chance to explore the city with my friend linus, who took me to the contemporary art centre. it was there i spotted a book named ‘rojus’, that linus told me translated as ‘paradise’. the word and striking cover of the book stuck in my mind. a few days after returning home, i turned on to a national geographic documentary named ‘designed to dance’, explaining the courtship rituals of birds of paradise. as i watched, i jokingly began drawing similarities between these birds’ attempts to captivate and impress the opposite sex with dance, and the way strangers try to attract one another in clubs and interact on the dance floor. this gave me the idea of creating a record of functional club music, sequenced as if it were a club night, from doors to closing, using samples of these birds of paradise and their habitat. thus, rojus. leon vynehall 2016

aether series is home for bass heavy and dj-friendly experimental music and sound art. the first release of the series is ikolas mini-lp titled *core*, originally recorded for *machine soul - the documentary film* soundtrack. the film focuses on pioneering finnish electronic music artists such as mika vainio, jori hulkkonen and jimi tenor. the score is composed as a tribute to their work and is now released as an independent piece on vinyl.

traditional folk music from belgium, performed by swedish youngsters, met by art music with inspiration from the dj-culture. during the fall of 2015, guf (gävleborgs ungdoms folkband) released an album called guf4life where one of its songs got the dj & composer slim vic to react. the rain drenched sounds in the original composition worked as the fundament for two different musical journeys, signed by slim vic. part 1, is a varying composition that take the listener in and out of club music, ambient and the original tracks folk music. part 2, is a very dystopic world of sounds clearly on the border of art music.

crash course in science are a post punk band that formed in 1979 in philadelphia. the band members, dale feliciello, mallory yago and michael zodorozny, met while attending art school, where they began to experiment with crude electronics and off-beat lyrics. ccis avoided conventional instrumentation by using toy instruments and kitchen appliances to augment the distorted guitar, drums and synthesized beats.
