“great many arrows” is the 6th studio album from damien dubrovnik, the danish duo of loke rahbek and christian stadsgaard. it is also the 200th release on their posh isolation label, marking 8 years for both the label and project. the label’s inception came with damien dubrovnik’s debut album, and since then the two have been inseparable. without damien dubrovnik there would most likely have been no posh isolation, and vice versa.

“aktuel musik” is the second release from kyo, a duet of hannes norrvide and frederik valentin. norrvide is best known as the protagonist of synth trio lust for youth, though his recent solo techno productions under the guise of norin have also been met with critical praise. together with danish music’s enfant terrible, valentin, whose musical history is as difficult to trace as it is to comprehend, kyo is a project nourished by the orbit of two individuals around impassioned collectives.

“i musik” is the third piece from kyo, a duet of hannes norrvide and frederik valentin. with each release the pair make a shift in the project’s aesthetic equilibrium, forcing a new constellation of resonances, handing us a new beauty. “i musik” presents another wondrous movement in the narrative, like discovering a secret escalator that passes everything you want from a new angle.

long awaited reissue on white vinyl of croatian amor’s debut album from 2013. the world marked a switch in the project from the earliest tape experiments and this debut is in many ways a key release in the back catalogue of posh isolation.

“finding people” is the newest recording from croatian amor, the morphing alias of loke rahbek. with last year’s croatian amor album, “love means taking action”, we witnessed a transformation in the project, its wide-eyed gaze having stared deep into the news feed, reengineering its heartstrings. finding people takes this even further. white vinyl presented in a clear pvc sleeve.

“performance”, drenches industrial-infused techno in high definition details, divining a cracked bump & flex from the condensation of a joyride. with a handful of tapes on posh isolation, as well as an album on luke younger’s alter, kristian emdal and simon formann have developed a project whose momentum and reputation has steadily escalated, finding common ground between electro-acoustic methods and quantised club nights.

long time friends (since flex vienna 95) patrick and luke joined forces on blumoog music and came up with this crafty and dynamic four tracker ep. patrick pulsinger opens the project on the a with two ingenious and uplifting tracks reminiscent of his old ‘sluts’n’strings &909’ days with an acidic twist. 25 years have gone by since patrick pulsinger made history and put vienna on the map by founding techno avant-garde label cheap records and with productions like ‘dogmatic sequences’ on disko b and pioneering sequential- minimal-techno soon after with the huge lp ‘porno’ also on disko b. on the flip side luke m.r.e.u.x is consistent with his fine style. dry percussions and rubbery bass in b1 ‘cerebral fix’. a darker approach in confession b2 with a relentless 5 minutes of techno trip that will not let you catch breath.

this latest work from vanity productions is a turbulence steadied to rest with care, and marks a critical high point in the project’s evolution. as the nom de plume of posh isolation’s co-founder christian stadsgaard, there is a deeply private yet fiercely empathic quality to “only the grains of love remain”. pirouetting between his collaborative work with loke rahbek as damien dubrovnik, as well as the empire line with varg and iron sight, to name just stadsgaard’s most recent activity, the inwardness reserved for vanity productions is perhaps a necessary step. that the emotive experimentation should generate such a touching soliloquy is an arresting watermark, presenting only the grains of love remain as the most eloquent work of the project to date.

body sculptures is a contemporary project that brings together five unique voices in european experimental electronic music today. the formative element is the collaborative pact between sweden’s northern electronics and denmark’s posh isolation. last year marked both body sculptures debut live performance - a highly notorious set at berlin atonal festival 2015 - as well as their debut recording, “the base of all beauty is the body”. the disparate elements that have come to inform the project thus far are further refined and encoded in their new lp, “a body turns to eden”.

the caribbean house is a new billy bogus project. it’s the perfect meld of creepy atmospheres, sunset grooves, analog sensibilities and incessant rhythms. bogus leads this collective formed by federico bologna (ohmega tribe, technogod) and cristiano santini (disciplinatha, dish-is-nein,). this triumvirate of 90 s underground italian masterminds come from the world of electronica, noise rock and psychedelia. here they all combine to rise again rise and unite to create something entirely new.

“the water we drink” is the debut album from khalil, a close confidante of posh isolation, and naturally a project close to the heart. with an iridescent shower of auto-tuned vocals and encrypted synthetic forms, khalil presents a luminous route into a future of cadences pitched to a crushing intensity.

broken district is a new label launched by the creative minds of jus jam, momla and antwan. the project is born with the idea of exploring alternative music styles that blend the influences of the label s creators, including jazz, house-music, hip-hop, funk, soul, and more experimental sounds. in order to give a global overview of the label s territory, broken district kicks-off with a series of va eps, here delivering its second volume.

nils oliver frahm + peter ray broderick = oliveray. being musical companions and label buddies for many years, it was just a matter of time until peter broderick and nils frahm would start their first standalone project together. oliveray was born during a time when both artists were living in berlin and frahm supporting broderick on tour. their debut release wonders — a nice little collection of eight musical pieces — was released on erased tapes in 2011. the vinyl release includes a download code.

july sees radio slave’s rekids invite britain’s renowned swayzak to the roster with a cold war themed release entitled ‘odessa calling’ ep. a name associated with quality, swayzak’s ability to retain their signature sound whilst producing across various sub-genres has cemented them a solid reputation since their humble beginnings in the 90s. their impressive back catalogue includes six studio albums and appearances on labels like k7, m_nus, curle, ellum and swayzak’s own label 240 volts, which was relaunched in 2017. originally a duo comprised of david brown and james taylor, brown has been helming the project solo since 2012. he now joins respected berlin-based imprint rekids with two inspired productions. ‘odessa calling’ is a mysterious track with hypnotic synths, mesmerising pads and enigmatic vocals that combine together to create a celestial aesthetic. on the flipside, ‘numbers station’ continues with the otherworldly feel employing shimmering percussion that wanders alongside a brooding bassline for a well refined finish to the package.

die form is the legendary post-industrial electronic project leaded by french artist philippe fichot and active since the late 70 s. -tears of eros- was originally released by the german imprint hyperium records in 1993 and shows die form on it s most intense and productive years. sexual deviations, sadomasochism, fetish and domination set to danceable beats with a dark atmosphere. this mini-album is re-issue for the first time on vinyl including all the original songs plus a different version of -doctor x-. limited to 333 copies with die-cut jacket silk-screen printed on deluxe black paper, printed inner sleeve and numbered card

in the studio prototype 909 was a group that rarely agreed on a clear idea of exactly what they were trying to accomplish. the entire project was an experiment, and every time they hit record there was nothing better for them to do than to just try stuff. whenever it came time to put together an album they would go through what they had recently done and nd the tracks that seemed to fit together well, or that at least sounded like they were made by the same group. that left on the cutting room foor some really amazing worst that somehow just didnt fit their goals at the time. at schmer, we remember. p-909 leftovers have schmer written all over them. these four tracks were all recorded live in the studio in between their three studio albums 93-97. brenecki ( half of ontal ) provided his remix inspired by one of them. hyperdrive and -datafash- were recorded shortly after acid technology was released in 93. they come from the -lets make acid technology vol 2 approach-. that would have made a really cool record had they done it but they decided on making transistor rhythm instead. anoisenyc aka the tracs that dietrich hates is what you get when you let jason go nuts on a doepfer maq-16 ( they never made that mistake again ). bobo is possibly the most prototypical p-909 tracks ever: it took three guys making their own tracks simultaneously almost ignoring what the others were doing but somehow mixing them into a flow to make this one, but it all comes together nicely in the end. its amazing that they never released it before. you ve enjoyed the wait, now enjoy your new prototype 909 while it still is new!

under frustration is a 3 volumes compilation project by tunisian collective arabstazy, establishing a picture of the contemporary electronic music scene in the arab world. this musical journey stands for the diversity of this scene, and deconstructs the occidental perceptions that sees the arab world as a culturally united and homogeneous entity. it is a manifesto for the burgeoning wave of post-revolution futurism. arabstazy chose to give all the benefits and profits of this project to the lebanese ngo basmeh & zeitooneh, and most specifically to their yearly art event - seen - which highlights unseen artists and break stereotypes about refugees.

the 6th release of ville nouvelle, music for five post cards brings together five artists from across the globe, both old and new to the label. the compilation materialises as a musical ballad, 40 minutes long, and evoking feelings of travel and the contemplation of nature. in the continuity of ville nouvelle’s exploration of music and graphic design, each track is transformed into a respective postcard by the french artist alexis jamet, who was given carte blanche for this exercise. the project appears as a personal mosaic of evocations reflecting both in image and music a kind of international feeling.

a psychedelic pulse of chugging acid marked disco, ‘escape earth theme’ is an animist call to arms in the obscene face of the anthropocene. 303 master bawrut transforms it into a hymn for early morning rave reflection, adding breakbeats and psychotropic synths.
crushed by its own supermassive weight, ‘gravity well’ then condenses escape earth’s love of jungle and hardcore into a 128bpm stepper of rumbling low-end, polyrhythmic beats and otherworldly melody.

peter kadergard has been active in the helsingborg (sweden) electronic music scene since the early 1990 s. he was involved in various collaborations during the 90 s and appeared on a few cassette releases under the names grodans fodelsedag, marchentraum and mannix system. peter released his first rittowski record on the borft sub label djuring phonogram in 2004. apart from this electro project peter is a member of the bands goz mongo alliance and inyurmania, who has made a few releases on the ufo mongo, pripuzzi and skiboy record labels. this is new electro!

warsaw based duo private press join rekids special projects this july with four deep techno cuts entitled ‘zero sum ep’. hailing from poland, adam brocki and jan wóycicki make up private press – a project that’s released sought after cuts on labels like technosoul and indigo aera. the duo is also known by the name raw feelings, however many will be familiar with brocki’s newborn jr. alias, which has dropped releases on rhythm section, echovolt, dopeness galore and les yeux orange. ‘miracle man sets the tone with delayed resonant synths accompanied by crunchy and distorted snares before ‘becomes the prime’ opts for a lo-fi sound with filtered synth blips and enigmatic vocal slices. on the flip side ‘tooms’ delivers heavily reverberated horn-like stabs, modulated synth lines and an underpinning bass that rumbles throughout as ‘clan’ offers a fast paced cut with high pitched whistling that echoes alongside a thumping kick drum and organic percussion to bring the package to a close..

this one has been a long time coming. great 12”s never get shelved at lddlm, time is not the essence. benedikt frey has been part of the extended family since his remix of car’s idle eyes and we crossed paths a few times at robert johnson in frankfurt. init, his project with his other half nadia d’alò, has seen releases on neighbours such as hivern or correspondant, our door was naturally open to their pretty personal brand of “off-kilter techno” as ra says. stereometric is almost a definition of init’s acid mind. failing their own tricks, heavy atmosphere and unusual restraint. nuts is almost an instrumental extension of the title track, when your head finally hit that window pane. wheels slows the rush down, wandering on an imaginary khyber pass. this is only deception though, mindwork being a real exercise in post-goa trance. hope you enjoy the trip. see you after the summer.

the first in a series of compilations by jura soundsystem is a blend of dub, ambient, downtempo, boogie and proto house with a focus on music never before released on vinyl, sought after out of print titles and some special versions edited specifically for the album. . the intention with this project was to delve deeper into the reissue pond and unearth some lesser known tracks and artists. highlights include smackos (aka legowelt) ambient epic ‘we can watch alf in the hotel room’, never before released on vinyl, the dub / psych hybrid of minus group’s ‘black shadow’, kash’s sought after ‘percussion sundance’ and special edits of ken dang and tabou combo. the end of the album includes some soothing ambient tools.

the music of brendon anderegg is a hall of mirrors, multilayered and self-obscuring. largely filtered through mountains, his pioneering electronic project with koen holtkamp, anderegg emerged as a solo artist in the late ‘90s. in recent years, anderegg has become sought after for his film scoring and audio work with his studio telescope audio, contributing to emmy-nominated films 102 minutes that changed america and 9/11: the days after for the history channel, and working with clients from espn to laura poitras’ praxis films. he returns now with june on thrill jockey.

after establishing himself with rough but emotive house as rimbaudian and jungle as birds of sweden, he unveiled his dj seinfeld alias to the world, first with underground hit single u, then with his time spent away from u album on lobster fury in november 2017. it was a post break-up love letter to the dance floor with heart-on-sleeve emotions colouring the dusty and analogue house grooves. acclaim came in from far and wide, with everyone from rolling stone to pitchfork fawning over its heart swelling nostalgia and melancholic immediacy. jakobsson approached his dj-kicks with the intention of representing all the things that made him fall in love with dance music more than a decade ago, as well as showing some of the progression that has occurred in that time and reflecting the simultaneous fear of leaving something safe behind as well as the excitement of venturing into unknown territories, musically and emotionally.

the melting point ep is back on dame-music! following the well-acclaimed volume 1 last december, which included tracks from kink, thomas p. heckmann and bloody mary, dame- music is proud to present volume 2 of this acid project, this time with label boss bloody mary inviting three guests to share the record with her. the photo used in the artwork for this release was taken in sydney s king cross district in early 2018, and features street art by owmag. thanks to this amazing artist for allowing us to use his work. once again, the melting point concept sees bloody mary invite some of her favourite and most well-respected producers to the label with these 4 original tracks. the melting point ep vol. 2 marks the fusion of four renowned producers including hardfloor, josh wink and alien rain and mary herself. this release is sure to be heard on dancefloors this summer! 4 tracks made by and for acid lovers.

echocord sub-label echo echo continues this july with orbite’s ‘interstellar’ ep, a threetracker from the berlin- based producer. orbite is a brand new project founded in berlin, germany with a nod towards the raw, dubby sounds often heard across the clubs in the city, and where better to inaugurate things than the recently launched sub-label of copenhagen’s echocord, one of the leading imprints in the realms of dub techno, home to pioneering acts like rod modell/deepchord, pole and fluxion who have paved the way for orbite’s own twist on the genre. the ethereal pad textures of ‘skylar’ lead on the package, deftly evolving alongside bubbling synth tones, swelling chords and shuffled percussion to create a create dynamically unfolding six and a half minute cut. ‘moment’ follows, edging things further into dubbed-out territories with heavily delayed dub echoes and mesmeric spoken word poetry intertwining to create a, hypnotic beatless soundscape. ‘organi’ closes the record with emotive, billowing pads, warm bell like tones and vocal murmurs running alongside swinging shakers and stripped-back micro-house percussion.

this hampshire & foat project should not come as too much of a surprise to those familiar withgreg& warren s music, influenced heavily by not just jazz but the library sound of the 60s and 70s along with film soundtracks from the same golden era.greg& warren are avid collectors of this music,gregsends me links night and day to lps he has picked up digging on his travels. this constant search sends him down new musical pathways and often sparks a whole new concepts for projects. warren andgregare both fiercely creative talented individuals which means we have to keep them working, a challenge for us all, but the music rewards the effort many times over. we had talked for a long time about doing a library style lp (somethinggregis very passionate about) so during different recording sessionsgreg& warren started laying down various tracks with a view to the lp we have here. side one is 5 tracks in very distinct styles, musical paintings for the big screen. the vast sound of the japanese influenced jasmine, the spaghetti western melancholy of mariposa lily, the call to action that is antonio s theme, the breezy vintage sports car in the sun that coastal drivepaints, and lost in nostalgia, a late night poirotesk piece. side 2 is a classic library suite, whichgregdescribes as a detective s theme with different variations on the motifs.

limited to 250 copies, next up in tartelet’s limited-edition series is renaissance man n.o.t.e. with “night frames” – a compilation of barrel-aged sounds for the warm nights ahead. n.o.t.e. is a new project by an already established artist who might be of swiss or italian origin, depending on who’s asking. a seasoned sailor of musical waters, he enjoys jazz piano, fine wine and silk linens. though none of that matters. the first release under his new name could be described as a mini concept album where different routes are explored, bringing n.o.t.e.’s musical diversity and capabilities to light. starting with “falsa laudis,” n.o.t.e. takes the listener back to the 80s with clear references to italian boogie and jazz-funk of that era. the track is warm, fat and sparkly, and best enjoyed with a cocktail in hand. following this is the title track “night frames” – a bruk-jazz escapade not shy of elaborate rhodes solos and filthy funk. the b-side opener moves further south: “obaleyako” is fueled by tropical energy, mixing african percussions with soft piano chords. it’s weird, mysterious and red hot! last but not least, n.o.t.e takes on the finest deep house sound with “en route,” where endless layered melodies and percussion form the farewell. this is an ultra limited-edition release of 250 copies (strictly no repress!), written and produced by n.o.t.e. and mixed at panalama studios in copenhagen on the neve 5088 shelford console for good measure. enjoy!

the mabon dawud republic, hungary s first all-star progressive afrobeat ensemble started as the fela kuti tribute band for the very first felabration event in budapest, organised by the band itself and joined by fela s original egypt 80 band member, keyboard player and singer dele sosimi. given the member s love for afrobeat, the jamming soon evolved into a project of their own songs. their republic is a place filled with the soul-warming vibes of a 15 piece orchestra, a place for dancers, a place to escape from the outside world and enjoy the magic that is unfolding on stage. the mabon dawud feeling is delivered to you by professional musicians who are also members of other well known hungarian underground acts, such as: the qualitons, soulclap budapest, sena live band, etc. budabeats records is proud to release their first ever record on 7- vinyl single with two heavy afrobeat cuts.

after two incredible eps, wayne snow the nigerian-born, berlin-based vocalist and songwriter now presents his debut album on tartelet records. freedom tv is the natural sequel to the max graef produced tasters red runner (2014) and rosie (2015) a project marinated in afro-caribbean, soulful grooves and topped by waynes effortless falsetto acrobatics. as the title suggests, freedom tv is an album with themes of liberty, struggle and creative identity pumping through its veins. within ten tracks, snow fluently meanders between musical styles: from low-tempo soothers like album opener cooler and fall to the syncopated bruk of the rhythm and cosmic funk escapades found on nothing wrong. production comes from three varied and solid sources. the tag-team between snow and fellow berliner, max graef

it’s a 2nd release of studio mule’s new project with miyako koda aka dip in the pool.
following the cover version of ohnuki taeko’s carnaval, we made the new version of japanese new wave classic “shinzo no tibia by mariah” with a new lyrics in japanese (original is in armenian) which is written by miyako koda. yasuaki shimizu kindly gave us the permission to do this.
extended version on a side is full of the respect for the original version and dub version on b side is dark new wave dub version. kuniyuki said the idea of this version came from adrian sherwood’s remix for depeche mode.

dan bay is a frankfurt am main situated composer, dj, live-performer and musician. most of the sounds he is working with, are based on classical synthesizers combined with field recorded samples. his latest vinyl-release is published at the label sucio. since 2017 dan bay is resident at the radio x fade dj night and can frequently be heard at clubs playing dj-livesets or analog synthesizer livesets with his electronic deep house band the mpc orchestra. his vocal-electropop project dan bay & maya will be playing several international concerts in clubs and festivals in 2018.

ltd copies, screen printed sleeve by al white & house of traps, this marks the first new vinyl release from echospace detroit this year with all the content lovingly re-mastered in echospace, detroit, usa & cut @ deepgrooves. an unreleased classic from the vaults emerges with newly remastered content from radius s celebrated -obsolete machines- double album & two of the most epic creations featured on the -interpolation tapes- cd series, available for the first time ever on vinyl format. many of the songs featured in this project were initially sent to rod modell & mike schommer shortly after they launched their brilliant deepchord label in 2001. (recorded from 1993-2000) they were incredibly kind in saying it was the best demo they had ever heard and passed it on to octal records for release, sadly, that didn t materialize and since then these masters have been collecting dust in our cassette rack for nearly 20 years now. we ve spent months doing our best to restore the old tapes from our tascam 688, an 8 track cassette recorder purchased and abused since 1992 and to our ears still sounds quite impressive even by modern standards. we ve had nearly every component replaced and re-calibrated to bring this obsolete machine back to life, it s been a truly nostalgic experience re-visiting and redesigning these masters. we truly hope you enjoy reliving these magical times of music, very inspired by all that was happening in those years, there was just something in the air, an undeniable energy, long may it live on..

we are happy to introduce a new release and a new project from ben vedren and chez damier, a new collaboration that has been in the making for some time now. side aa1 presents a unique sound in its vibe, kind of a minimal track. the french discussion/vocal in the background adds another dimension. you don t need to speak the language to understand what s going on, but you must wonder at some point: do i understand french or is it the music that made me understand them? an -organ- sound intervenes towards the end bringing power and light to the hall. it s eleven minutes of pure music! while -aa- is composed of two different remixes of a different track, -berlin nights in paris- it can probably be called the house anthem. it starts strong with some acid sound and is filled with a lot of wonderful elements. like a gourmet meal, you wonder if the track shouldn t have been at least three times longer to satisfy the gluttony of the listen. the techno remixes of the track. it s a perfect example of detroit meets house. techno track can, with no doubt, feed and drive the dance floor. no need for more than five words to describe it – it s a serious techno track.

lobster theremin present another mind-bending lp this time the brainchild of italian producer and epic talent kreggo. using a newly established moniker for this very special project, kreggo is better known for his work as g-23, dj groov and his cult secret rave project. from his small starship studio in mongrando, italy he weaves stories and tales from hued memories and faded dreams. whirling from the hills and condensing down the green mountainsides into the vibrant forest, coasting the roof of his hardware strewn lab.

everyone is a moon and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody. judas is back with one of the biggest collections of records since today, presenting more sides of his vision as an artist and as a conceptual persona, these are 4 cuts that brilliantly put you in the zone, right when the needle drops on the record. judas present this project in 2 parts, both part of the same creature, and of the same concept, “unsaid” goes far beyond the usual aspect of the functionality, in this case, functionality is a pure tool, every single work shows you a path into his mind.

a project 18 months in the making, marcel fengler presents a imf10, a three part compilation series detailing the past, present and future of his label index marcel fengler. part 3 focuses on the tougher end of the techno spectrum and features marcel fengler’s first original production in two years, a rare offering from sebastian kramer (aka redshape), a prized luke slater re-work of thomas hessler, while belgian shapeshifter peter van hoesen crafts a powerful production to add to the pot. familiar to fans of the label from his excellent imf09, avion makes a return alongside emerging columbian talent gotshell.

the mutable nature of our lives leads to a constant pursuit of musical incentives. last month we launched a new series on mindtrip aiming to bring together diverse sounds and musical backgrounds under a mutual project. mutable minds edition ii welcomes the very exceptional work from five of our favorite artists out there. the release opens with our head honcho pfirter and his anti-routine that comes with his trademark modular effect and a well-constructed sequence. sleepwalker belongs to mexicos finest techno export aka fixeer who delivered a pounding track with great energy. on the b-side things are getting deeper and more tripped out yet still powerful and intense with the swedish duo kuf & dold and their track mint. mutual minds ii closes with a familiar name that is none other than jonas kopp who returns to mindtrip with a very interesting piece that comprises a narcotic feeling and space stabs. the final outcome of the second mutable minds edition perfectly describes the musical perspective and ethos on mindtrip. hope you enjoy this trip to the fullest. this is mindtrip!

after a wildly successful collaboration on thatmanmonkzs turn it out from the lp, columbus-ing, dave aju suggested they should continue their production streak for a new percussive tracks project. at the same time, aju had finally kept his word to legendary bay area club/underground mc and personality, foxxee aka foxxee brown aka lawrence petty, to work on a track together as well. petty being a core part of the infamous ya mamas house radio show on 106 kmel alongside pete avila and david harness that introduced legions of young bay area djs to real house music, includ-ing aju, in the early 90s.

we share with kaffe crème, a penchant for side roads, for mixing textures and visiting other territories. if house music is at the heart of our project and history, it is often just a medium to cross the path of genres and bringing into some of our other tastes like here jazz, broken beat or hip hop.after his remarkable debut ep in 2016 which was containing the staggering beauty kapo choc that still resonates every weekend in many clubs around the world, we are very happy to welcome, the lyon-based kaffe crème for our fourth release. you ll find there everything you loved about his debut ep, which means, a beautifully produced organic and dusty house music that make a leap into contemporary jazz (i <3 u) and dig into warm finely mpc-sliced syncopated beats. but you ll also find an astonishing broken beat song (umusa) that show all the former-percussionist s talent for making sophisticated and ambitious jazz-infused rhythm compositions.
