originally a weekly broadcast radio show on the dutch-based xt3 radio, reclaim your city (ryc) gained its reputation as a highly acclaimed podcast series with its headquarters in berlin. since 2012, eighty-eight podcasts have been published from some of the biggest names in contemporary techno, jeroen search, adriana lopez, fabrizio lapiana, exium and jonas kopp to name a few. with such success through its podcast series, ryc has decided to take matters to the next level and establish a label using its powerful concept as a platform.
for its first release ryc has decided to showcase berlin and paris, two cities historically known for placing great significance and expertise on the genre. berlin, consistently home to a resonating techno culture, competes here with paris who has been on the rise from beneath its bourgeois history. for this special first release zadig and antigone have been chosen to represent parisian techno, as blind observatory and subjected will in full support of berlin.

uncanny valley and permanent vacation are joining forces for an uncanny vacation! there has always been a lively exchange between dresden and munich and both labels are known for releasing a wide variety of music so it was only natural to team up for a joint release. the record starts off with permanent vacation-regular and uk-veteran dmx krew and his astro logical which is as sharp and crisp as electro can go. the bass line strikes hard but he also squeezes some great melancholic synth lines out of his machines. after that, uncanny valleys sandrow m finally gives access to the much in demand live version of prayervan, a tune that everybody has been singing along during his live sets. on the flipside, jacob korn (who already released on both labels) hands in eieiei which rises on a percussion-heavy drum basement to a discoid house stomper thanks to an irresistible sample straight from an obscure flea market find. last but not least, drvg cvltvre from the netherlands delivers a tropical house jam. see you again is riding on a funky disco bass line and creates a warm and cosy atmosphere with a whole bag of sound ideas. alexander dorn aka credit 00 adds his graphical talents to the records sleeve with a brilliant tribute to 1990s adventure video games.

365 million years ago a meteorite crashed with tremendous force in the middle of a land mass that much later would be called sweden, creating one of her largest lakes. the area around this lake, siljan, has always been an epicenter of swedish folklore, with many tales of beautiful but dangerous creatures of the ancient forests and deep vales. perhaps, then, it s no coincidence that the skies over siljan later became the focus of unexplainable sightings, or that small societies appeared, claiming strong indications of extraterrestrial activities on the bottom of the lake itself. the tales may change over time, but the mysterious lake remains the same. and now the time has come for a new tale from siljan. producer colleagues hans berg and johanna knutsson have spent long periods of time in a studio by this lake. feeling a bit like aliens themselves with their blinking and bleeping music machines, the label name ufo station recordings came naturally. little raver ep is the first release, and throughout the three tracks you can clearly sense the contrast between the scenic landscape and sounds inspired by space and alien technology: shimmering ethereal melodies over classic, very fulfilling drum machines. the melancholic singing of space whales over deep and bubbly analog basses. the little raver ep is a house music ufo destined to arouse wonder and astonishment on any dance floor.
