i really felt that uku led me to this music and what to play it happened straight when i got back home from his funeral. maryn. lta fusion featured on this album was one of their last co-writes. maryn took what foundation her son played, and finished the song with him here.

as the timing appears to be right while summer just made it’s entrance it seemed only appropriate for the release of another single.
the idea behind the release was conceived when digging for records through paris while touring a couple of years ago during a conversation with a vinyl monger discussing 70’s pop-funk pakistani composers.
since the inspiration as well as the records sampled for both of the tracks were picked up from the “city of lights” it seemed only appropriate for mononome to finally collaborate with parisian label and long-time friends stillmuzik for a release.
“loralai” evolves around a feel-good uptempo groove emphasizing on the sample while “besima” is based mainly on mononome’s characteristic drum sounds, leaving an essence of psychedelia in the background.
available in 7” vinyl limited to 300 copies via stillmuzik.

back in 1995 while living on the west coast, at the peak of the rave experience, dj spun and dhyan moller recorded a bunch of live tracks, without any sequencer, all direct to cassettes. spun aka jason drummond, reached out last spring after rediscovering all the cassettes and asked us if wed be interested in releasing some of the tunes. jason shipped us the cassettes and after a good transferring session, we decided we had to release all the tracks under a 3lp set. this stuff is fire. we still love dj spun and dhyan moller!

om:nia is a record label for artists we believe in to release a wide variety of music, everything from psychedelic jazz to drum & bass, threading a flow and feeling which will connect all the sonics together.
our first release is by one of our favourite artists and genius musician, stl. we spoke to stephan in great length about our concept and idea for the label, after some time he sent us these specific tracks. manoeuvring along dubby and dusty grooves, with dreamy melancholic ambient textures and a epic 17 minute -untitled dubscape-. this record is as much to dance too in a club as it is to listen too at home.

across the ‘hidden paradise’ lp demuja showcases his powerful and emotive production style with dusty, jazz-tinged cuts like ‘still do’, ‘hang on’, ‘you smile feat. ainy’, ‘hear that bassplayer’ and ‘my jazzy wung’ employing the producer’s signature style via soft rhodes, hooky horn samples, organic bass grooves and soaring vocal samples. ‘still do’ and ‘keep doing’ also explore a more dropped- tempo disco aesthetic on the project with funk-infused bass, infectious guitar licks and shuffled, loose drums.

blue 01 comes in the form of a split 12inch release from tessela and lanark artefax. it features tesselas glisten, a track weve loved and coveted since joy o slipped into his essential mix in 2016. alongside that is the intimidating stillness mix of lanarks touch absence, which we first released as a limited edition whities dubplate back in 2016. it has been remastered by beau thomas at ten eight seven and the artwork as always was designed by alex mccullough
