another top notch exclusive eyepatch vinyl which will be a must for those deeper sets. >yellow edge< is a three track debut release on eyepatch for japanese dj and house music producer yusuke yamamoto. he runs his own label vacances records and has seen releases on many other labels including oasi lab, houseworx, city life, ibiza house hotspot and more. his tracks are supported by a lot of big djs including luciano, claude vonstroke, d julz, anthony collins and moodymanc to name a few. he brings a fresh approach to house and this is manifested within this superb pack and we love the sound so much we will also be releasing this onto good old 12inch vinyl which will be a welcome addition to any dj s box.
dixon cites tim hecker, autechre and wolfgang voigt as influences and this ep is as equally diverse. we begin with edge of the universe , an enigmatic techno experiment. tight hats and snare work give it an almost jackin feel whilst subtle bumping subs and cryptic vocal chops decorate throughout.
2 tracks from the forthcoming phase album frames of reference, which will be released this autumn. both pieces bring display strong & intense techno with an incredible sense for depth & detail. few seem to master these qualities like phase does.

black vinyl repress, natch is the union of the body, mind and passion with drum machines and synthesizers. its what is natural, what we do the best. kidnapped in the 90s by the clubs of detroit, taken by the power of the bass, carried over through a sequencer and convinced that berlin is the new dance floor. natch is techno. it moves through the stimuli and does not stop, pushed by the need to discover new forms,to listen to the unheard, browse unlimited electronic influences. not only from dub to dark sound, but reaching an underground that is an expression of the sounds that each of us carry inside. aware of the history behind each clap, which leads to the highest level of sound, of his idea: techno-logic. natch is the way, natch is natural
2diy4 is back to release its fourth ep! its a classic four tracker and the first release of amine edge & dance and nhan solo on 2diy4. during the last years both of them convinced the crowds with fresh and housey tracks and we are really proud to have them finally on 2diy4!
its been a while since we have seen a release from dfrnt for on the edge, but im proud to announce, the wait is finally over! this ep provides us with an abundance of different flavours, but still retains the genius sound that is dfrnt at the very core of every tune. let me first draw to your attention to >the big freeze<. its a drum and bass track that has been moulded like a true pro. it sounds like dfrnt has been producing d+b for a long time with the finishes on this track, but believe its one of his earlier efforts. its a refreshing bpm for his take on electronic music and hope to hear more of the same from dfrnt soon. then dfrnt shows us what he is all about when he goes all out 4x4. a dirty, gritty techno roller (with a skip) that will blow your socks off! love the production on this one. then we have >monday morning<. this does exactly what it says on the tin, just the type of tune you need to bring you down after a heavy weekend. as though that wasnt enough, there is a 170 remix from man of the moment, indigo! support comes from: hatti vatti, synkro, versa, mary ann hobbs, kissy sell out, fused forces, loxy, dj rum, 501 and truth to name a few.
nice price deal !!! up to this point, diogo accioly and diego mouras partnership as talking props has taken off and reached the heights of international acknowledgment almost effortlessly. acclaimed not only by their peers, somewhat denoted by the fruitful joint ventures they managed to forge which renowned names such as vincenzo, argy, but also peer whose attention they managed to grab, labels reputed as bastions of quality music such as suara and dessous. quite predictably, it seems that in the case of this release on the d-edge records, the label sprung from the club where they hold their long-lasting residency on thursdays, they made some of their best efforts to date, releasing two deliciously infectious numbers.
zopelar is one of our dearest local prodigies. hailing from a small-town at the heart of brasil and devoting his life to music from an early age, his love for this artform grew stronger as he explored the myriad layers that sedimented into today s pop. further developments led him to a classical training in the craft and the result is a burgeoning trajectory to which this ep is a crucial moment. one marked by the inflection on his approach, until then heavily influenced synth pop and post punk to the epiphany that followed his discovery of electronic dance music. a discovery that is translated to perfection, both conceptually and emotionally, by the title track of this ep, >falling in love<.

as much as track names end up being slightly more than tags and guidelines for searches in the digital era of music in which we live today, the name of the title track says a lot about the intentions behind the artwork. in the case of >the classic age<, it can be considered a homage to the influences that nourished rotcivs career throughout the past years.
from the mid-70s to the early 80s, hall & oates ruled the pop charts. with six number one singles and six platinum albums, they brought their own brand of philly soul to every city in america. their first hits came in the mid-70s with sara smile and rich girl and they were still touring and recording heavily when this album was recorded live in denver in 1979. this lp features many of their biggest hits and several songs from their >along the red ledge< and >x static< albums.

the chicks have been busy in the last 2 years, filming video, making art installations, girl monster extravaganzas, reading books, exhibiting all over the planet, making patchwork fashion collections (for insight, crystal ball and yoox.com), building high heeled shoe guitars, high tech super suits that trigger sound and video and other objekt instruments ... and they even found the time to make this new record!
this three track ep starts with the title track >walking alone<. showcasing mike’s attention to the deepest details, this track begins with warm, fuzzy chord sequences onto which a multi-layered framework of tones and textures are laid. crisp beats mesh with hypnotic bass pulsations, inviting the listener to lose himself in the sound. proper deepness here - for those who seek the essential elements and nothing more, rhythm, melody, bass line, emotion.. expertly produced, >passing tunnels< goes further below the surface as icy chords meet electrified analog stabs, enveloped in cavernous reverbs and shimmering delays. this is a dark, simmering groove for those who know the rare and precious value of a deep, unpretentious tune that can move you from the inside out. take time and listen - there’s no denying the vibrations here. and finally, rounding off the ep is label boss patrice scott’s rework of >walking alone<. properly titled the >atmospheric remix<, p. scott takes the track to another level. while keeping the basic elements of the original, p. scott adds spacey, vibrant melodies to extenuate his version taking you on a journey to a distant planet while on the dance floor.
somewhere between peaches and metro area this is a really cool record that is super lo fi. nice disco claps and trippy guitar with cowbells. the vocal is very rock, screeching mid way through. flipping over its very electro and minimal with the vocal going spoken word about hits of the 80s. fans of all the current electro clash biz, will totally be feeling this.
mothership transmission #4… todd bodine has been one of our favourite producers for a long time so we are very excited to be able to bring to you this ep on mothership. todd always brings a swinging groove that works for both minimal and house djs and this release definitely delivers the doughnuts. side a, >secret edge< will turn any stale room fresh and get everyones toes tapping and asses wiggling. its got elements of detroit, chicago, and berlin all wound up into a really nice party starter. you can never underestimate a fun grooving track thats easy to mix and fun to dance to. side b, >back to back< is a submariners dream with bubbling water sounds floating and popping over a low funk groove. this is the track for when you want to take it down a notch without losing any dance-floor magic. its a real dreamy affair with a fat bottom end. thanks todd!
whilst their debut release i like you is still causing havoc on near by dancefloors, shimon & nixon are proving themselves a force to be reckoned with! the burbling bass of around the edge is destined for sun soaked dancefloors and homegrown festival tents alike. shimons junglist influences are evident, minimal keys sit atop warped synth lines and atmospheric vocals. whitenoise is more the instant club banger, taking a trip to the darker reaches. the omnipotent bassline pulsates its way into your brain and builds to a powerful breakdown then bashing its way back to the jugular
debut album from by new rephlex signing the tuss. expect strange pitch shifty things, little voicy things, very funky breakbeaty drum machinery, spooky pads, tuff rhythms, princey funk with top claps, classy anthems, lush pianos, death fuck mental beats, double speed hip hop dnb style, mellow and lush...
