jean-louis huhta and joachim nordwall are high boys. together they share a deep interest in old school techno acid, aswell as electronic experimentalism and insane electro-acoustics. they want to make music that will mess with your mind, and make you move while your skull is melting. together they have served in the ritual rock group the skull defekts for over a decade but this is their first own project together. huhta also does is killer project dungeon acid amongst other important things, and nordwall runs his ideal label since 98 and makes electronic music alone and with other heads. high boys will not change the musical or political climate but they will make you feel... different.
night visions is a collection of stories which dance alive over an infectious blend of afro-latin rhythms and contemporary dancefloor beats. told by a variety of characters, drawn from the vibrant imagination of chico mann, these stories take place in an endless night, where we move through dimly lit clubs, jungle moonlight, pitch black desert plains, and the internal shadows of personal darkness. while the characters often stumble and search blindly in the dark, the persistent presence of a distant light provides an underlying direction and hopefulness to all the songs. captain planet s production, informed by his regular crowd-moving dj sets, keeps the album sounding effortlessly danceable & contemporary. meanwhile, chicos vocals have an instant classic appeal, hinting at old cuban rumba and vintage afrobeat lps. the two are aided by guest vocals from regular collaborators kendra morris & brit manor, as well as some talented friends who contributed additional horns, guitar & marimba

pop will eat itself (they took the name from a feature in the nme) was formed in 1986 and became one of the most well-known grebo-acts before changing their style to alternative dance and industrial rock. in 1996 they disbanded the group and each of the bandmembers concentrated on solo projects before shortly reforming the band in 2005 to play some shows. these gigs were notable from their instant double live albums which were available only ten minutes after the gigs. in july 2011, graham crabb announced a new line-up with him as the only original member.

dandy jack teams up with geneva fellows lad and quenum on the a side for what could be described as a tremendous and heavy ride into the catacombs of techno. sonja moonear has a slightly happier and smoother answer on the b side and challenges us with a long and percussive intro that leads into a melancholic twist. quenum and lad arent new to the electronic music and have been active over a decade. they have already been working together for labels like num and thema. sonja is dandys partner in crime as junction sm and ruta5s half head.
