east wall was an italian electronic dark wave band started by fabrizio chiari (ex keyboardist of kirlian camera) and wilma notari in 1982. “silence” was self released by the band in 1991.
we decided to expand the album, releasing it as a deluxe double lp cut louder at 45 rpm. we have also included an unreleased extended version of “ice of fire” and the bonus track “intro”, found on the dat tapes fabrizio chiari sent us. all songs are remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. it is housed in the original jacket, featuring a dramatically lit photograph of the band by andrea gambetta. each copy includes an 11x11 double-sided insert with photos of the band, lyrics, and liner notes by intergalactic gary, who’s despair mix turned us onto to this album all songs are remastered for vinyl by george horn at fantasy studios in berkeley. housed in the original jacket featuring a photo of a boy by pushe 27. each copy includes a 2-sided postcard with photos of the band, lyrics, and liner notes by flemming dalum.

new year - new music. the label freakadelle starts the year 2017 with -superis ep- by gerald peklar - founder of the association freakadelle. the ep is a sampler from the same-titled album, which was released on reflex recordings in 2016. the tracks have been reworked particularly for the dance floor and feature precise shuffled grooves, driving basslines and a reduced but sufficient amount of sound elements. only b1 (superis5) is the odd one out, being a dreamy and spheric electronica track. apart from that, the ep impresses with hypnotic loops and pressing arrangements without flourishes.

cougouyou ist ein plattenladen in perpignan, südfrankreich, sowie ein sublabel von staubgold. auf diesem veröffentlicht markus dettmer limitierte 7’’es mit regionalbezug. gewöhnlich kommen südfranzösische bzw. katalonische bands mit exklusiven neuen stücken zum zug. -lettre À monsieur le chef de gare de la tour de carol- macht davon eine doppelte ausnahme, denn weder stammt die 1939 geborene avantgarde-musikerin, autorin und schauspielerin brigitte fontaine aus der region, noch ist ihr musique-concrète-stück neu. es erschien bereits 1969 auf dem album -comme À la radio- und collagiert verfremdete tonfetzen des bahnhofsvorstehers von latour-de-carol, einem auf 1200 meter höhe gelegenen Örtchens in den pyrenäen. die single wird durch zwei tracks des in perpignan ansässigen minimalkomponisten monsieurdurand ergänzt. seine beiden stücke -un mauvais champignon- und -la nausée (extrait)- stehen ebenfalls der musique concrète nahe und basieren auf field recordings.

air cushion finishsdistinctive sound palette reconciles pop music with experimental electronics, think alan bishop meets white noise (with a touch of super collider?) air cushion finish formed in berlin in 2007 and comprises of composer jayrope and natural vocal synthesizer lippstueck, who have graced berlin’s underground scene together since the 1990 s. lippstueck sings, wordless and backwards in time while his partner jayrope tends diy, electronic, string or percussion instruments small enough to fit into a small suitcase. changing setup and subsequently music is programmatic to the band, resulting into an unforeseeable slow motion cacophony of whispers, bleeps, rhythms and harmonies. theres a notion of dada, but you never know. the 8th album of acf marks their current state of poetical accident, swaying, swinging and bouncing, boldly careful, like a transparent tattoo on your forehead.
