you cant fool me, david is the starting point for the new founded label called what! what! records and especially for mike okay himself. the release is dominated by the interaction of electronic sounds and organic samples which, as a unit, builds up a sporty groove hilariously. the package is completed by fat remixes of tom deluxx, the sexinvaders and silkersoft.
wash your hands before touching this record and your ears before listening to its sound! this invaluable collection of sounds deserves to be handled with care and love.
marcs interest in electronic music starts in 1998. inspired by the legendary hr3 clubnight and mixes by talla 2xlc, ulli brenner, marc spoon he started to spin hard-house (trance)...later on he changed his style in housemusic. now hes arrived in the time of electronic and minimal music. during the years he discovered producing own tracks for himself. so his first e.p. called schalfstoerung was released in 2008 on piston recordings from portugal. several releases on galvanic or musashi/ belgium followed. his style features elements of electro, minimal and techno and also melodic influences. now its time for his first ep on kostbar musik, called purple! including a great rework by david garcet from brussels!

its house but not as we know it! young david, aka dave young, chose his artist name as a reminder of what it said on his office door before he took some time out in the summer of 2006. swapping the office for what an estate agent might describe as a cosy basement studio in stockholm, he now sits around making beats all day the fuji ep is musical adventure. bridging the gap between soulful and minimal and blending crunchy mid-tempo party beats with intoxicating two-tone, jazz and dub flavours. equally at home on the dance floor, ipod or lounge stereo, the tracks have a sense of space and depth and, above all, a real musicality which comes not (only) from the pushing of a few buttons, but from a lifelong quest
8 years in the making a slammin new mix with an unreleased audio drive remix (martijn ten velden & david james) alongside the much sought after original dirty mix...
sebastian legers mistakes music label has been on a roll of that with his own cover of jaguar selling immensely well and his next 2 solo releases following that having caused some serious damage. this original track from this swedish duo is an enormous piano laden club hit with its smooth intro, enormous hooklines and epic pads - potentially one of the biggest tracks of the year.
yoshi goes back to spain to hook up with d-formation, one of the hottest producers of the year, whose recent records have become a staple of many big djs sets this summer. >what u want< is an unforgettably hooky cut by dformation & david ferrero that incorporates the best of the minimal techno movement with groovy tech house elements for an extraordinary experience. ismael rivass remix is a high voltage peak time mix while mindskap takes things deep and techy. right out of the gate, supported mark knight, hernan cattaneo, nic fanciulli, behrouz, cedric gervais, dubfire, sharam, tommy boy, eddie thoneick and dj vibe. this one is so good, it might just stick around for miami.
