repress 2016 ...linkwood gives us whats up with the underground? hot, urgent, joyous jazz/house music thats guaranteed to ignite any dancefloor be warned, spontaneous human combustion is a real risk when this record hits. fudge fingas drops the heavyweight ‘escape. with samples from cult tv series ‘the prisoner, huge synth lines and beats like vintage glenn underground this is definitely odd house music turn it up! the complainers bacon rolls is bizarre funk from somewhere else entirely if chris cunningham made a porno flick then this would be the soundtrack. plus theres extra sickness from whats up with the beats? (rather than a mere dub, this is almost an entirely different jump-up disco track) and a bonus firecracker skit.

argentine producer leonel castillo unveils yet another moniker with this new eponymous 77ks series. remaining the best-kept secret the latin american electronic music scene has brought to us so far, leonel is an icon and at the same time virtually unknown. a stylistic chameleon and an ultra talented jack-of-all-trades, he is hard to pinpoint, and even harder to categorize. surfacing at random, he’s been releasing music as leonel castillo and under various aliases – arnold slab, boeing or unknown artista are some of his monikers – on labels as diverse as ilian tape, sushitech, airdrop and his own imprint groovear.

voyage returns with the discovery of an until now unknown artist. unearthed from the hull of an abandoned discovery probe, the origins of ausländer are undisclosed and unlikely to be uncovered. the three artefacts revolve around what is only understood as ausländers theme, which is twice reinterpreted on the flip. no doubt made with machines, this wondrous exploration of thought, rhythm and undiscovered worlds is a welcomed addition to the voyage catalogue.

emotional rescue returns to the post war music of west germany and the work of dominik von senger and his cohorts based around the dunkelziffer project. this special -sampler- ep of recordings was produced as their part in cologne s stollwerck art complex, that acted as a home and inspiration to their musical experiments. based within the disused industrial warehouses spaces of stollwerck, a mix of post-hippies, punks and anarchists created a community within that fed off each other s artistic endeavours.
