die vier walsh brüder dk, ian, luke und shaun sind begeisterte surfer. für -distance between dreams- ließen sie sich bei ihrem hobby filmen und wagten sich im pazifik an einige ungewöhnlich hohe wellen heran. dabei entstanden beeindruckende aufnahmen. die brüder nutzten die wetterfront el nino, die 2016 viel unheil anrichtete, den surfern aber die höchsten wellen ihrer karriere ermöglichte. tom holkenborg aka junkie xl stand einst für big beats und technoide sounds. diese hat er nicht abgelegt, sondern seine klangpalette einfach erweitert. für den soundtrack zu -distance between dreams-, ein film, der die weite des meeres und die dynamik der natur-kräfte abbildet, passt dies ideal. so treffen weite soundscapes, die von trance und ambient geprägt sind (die manchmal durchaus an chicane erinnern), auf unerwartet heftige beats.
