super hot dancefloor bangers from somalia 1972 - 1991, very groovy tunes here, honestly no weak track on this, they all have something very appealing, lo fi hard hitting drums, smackin basslines, slapback delayed vocals on top of crazy organ/key playing. most likely never heard outside of somalia before! incl three tracks from the dur dur band, that never dissapoint. big tip if you into this

his latest outing follows a self-released 12” on his newly incepted imprint hundred flowers earlier this year, as well as singles on blip discs and ninja tune. with his new single he continues to evolve his signature style: the breezy sunspear swirls with a euphoric world music sample and heated percussive energy, whilst peaktime weapon b side tru dancing is a horn-infused disco-house gem. o’flynn says -i wanted to make something for the summer dancefloor that people could have fun to. it was about taking the sample and recontextualising it to make something more modern whilst keeping the original feel, adding additional percussion to up the energy.”

dancing with fireflies from sanderson’s second long player urban mosaic gets the treatment courtesy louis haiman, minimal states and off land. louis once again shows his flare for soulful detroit influenced tech, putting a fwdthought spin on sanderson’s original arrangement. minimal states leaves an equally strong mark with his rich idm techno flavoured rendition. stasis recordings stalwart, off land, reworks just beyond into a gorgeous piece of chill out bliss.
politics of dancing continue to expand their horizons with another round of collaborative wares on their p.o.d cross sublabel. once again they ve invited big hitters who slip perfectly into the minimal house mindset the parisian label has been locked in since 2013, leading with cab drivers on the a side. the deep-diving german mainstays gel with the pod crew in a tightly clipped but utterly funked up roller, sitting in contrast to the more open, tripped out synth flourishes sebo k brings to the table on side b. with each track distinctive but also compatible, there s every chance you ll be compelled to play both out at the late night / early morning shuffled-up jamboree.
