the prolific run of ben sims and his theory imprint shows no sign of stopping, this time its a tough but dj friendly 3 tracker featuring remixes from 2 of hollands finest. orlando voorn, a bonafide techno legend, graces the e.p with a firing and typically quirky, funked up, analogue drenched reworking. while ritzi lee returns with another no nonsense, raw as fuck, balls to the wall monster. the original from sims is an intense, pacey and relentless jacker, thats been doing plenty of damage in his sets for over a year. limited edition vinyl.
profumo is the first release in the new dont be afraid 10 inch series entitled dba dubs. this series is about teaming a london house dub with a techno-related dancefloor remix. the first release comes from claws for ? of modern soul recordings (and formerly dc recordings), with a remix from miamis gosub, who you will doubtless recognize from his releases on citinite, device and frustrated funk.
after two successful vinyl releases by technique & yaroslove (with remixes by alexkid & patrick zigon) and v!ktor & lowris (including remix by chris carrier), russian imprint cooltool records continues its journey with incredibly beautiful single >where do you run to< by talented producer kirill monocle from saint petersburg.
ep includes original track, acapella and remix by really unique project middleyoung — duo of anthony middleton from audiofly and philipp jung from m.a.n.d.y. they joined their forces to make first remix together. and this remix is ace.
after releasing >inside< with nomi ruiz in 2009, germany hot producer rampa, is back on rebirth with another strong vocal track! this time the result of the sinergy with his fellow producer re.you! the virtually indestructible rave banger >work< on rampas label keinemusik established them as club hits machine, followed by productions on labels like cocoon, souvenir, gigolo and a remix for michel cleis worldwide floorfiller >la mezcla< on strictly rhythm plus diverse co-productions with tiefschwarz feat. dop, ruede hagelstein and others. their live-project is also irresistible, covering a spectrum between elegant deepness and unrestrained mayhem, without ever losing the sight of the peaktime fever curve.
>my life< featuring the vocals of meggy is a modern soulful number, with warm sounds and effective beats ... a very cool deep summer little anthem. on the remix front till von sein and tigerskin get in the studio to produce a strong house reinterpretation, keeping the original elements and adding a fierce bass line! kingston based menik proves to be a name to watch, exploring different worlds, and delivering something fresh and forward thinking!
limited vinyl only release. first on livity sound sister label dnous ytivil from alex coulton, the man behind those fine twelves on all caps and idle hands. killer record but someone please tell us how to pronounce the label name.

inspired by artists such as mr g, baby ford, ricardo villalobos, derrick carter & rhythm & sound, anthea has created a sound somewhere lodged between house and techno, that is deep, warm and bassline fueled.
and if the original was note dope enough this package comes complete with two heavy weight remixes from two in demand high flyers: dan ghenacia & subb-an.
11th vinyl (vinyl only) attic music. fabrizio lapiana shows three new tracks of top class as always. modern techno that always reflects its origins berlin-detroit. the remix is signed claudio mate (modelisme, klap klap, flying donkey music, lilith, for pleasure, etc) and as always there are no doubts about his unique style.
first record for a label that is part of a long project, which began with the radio program the-zone. after numerous releases in the digital label, the project confirms the primary concept: the techno sound. an original version of the well known logotech (darknet, nachtstrom schallplatten, etc) with remixes signed by three major icons of techno: audio injection (truncate, electric deluxe, droid, etc), samuli kemppi (mote evolver, perc trax, m_rec ltd, etc) and the duo space djz (kombination research, soma, fine audio, etc)each word is useless, only techno!

local talk is proud to present the first release on their sub-label 1nce again. this is where we bring back classic and forgotten house gems from back in the day with new mixes and reworks. with the second release on local talks reissue sub label, 1nce again we bring back one of our personal underground favourites from the golden age of house music (the early 90s). back in 1994 mateo & matos released an ep on black label records entitled raw elements, which included an amazing cut called >maw basics<. its one of those raw 90s house jams that got the house bump but without the pump, its rough and funky but still deep if you know what we mean? no cheese in sight! together with the original track (now fully re-mastered) we also asked gerd (4lux, ny stomp) to make a remix that would stay true to the original but still bring it to the next level. the result is absolutely amazing and we are pretty confident that this baby will deliver knock out punches every time it blasts through a massive sound system in a proper club.
short version: swedish new school electronic disco music. one side with vocals by kicki halmos and a melancholic swing, the other one is slightly man parrish-ish and features viking muscle beats. both tweaked, edited and mixed by a certain terje olsen from another viking country. long version: during a long and cold night in stockholm some moons ago, a mysterious 7? was given to running backs chief a&r. he liked it so much that he wanted to convince the world of its greatness, got more copies, played them back to back, gave it out to djs and producers and there a certain terje olsen decided that he could prolong the all too short 7inch versions into a 12inch. and here we are. original versions released on drifter sthlm by samo forsberg. do some popping, locking & down-dogging!
after firmly establishing their nu funk steez in the digital realm with countless releases, london label boogie boutique reached into the glamorous world of vinyl in fine style just before christmas with the double 12 inch drop a year on wax. they elect to continue their twelve inch shaped adventures with a label regular at the helm in the shape of funk ferret. the new zealander has featured on many a boogie boutique release, as well as other nu funk labels such as booty pirates and ghetto funk, so keen observers of the scene will know what to expect. >pushin forward< features the mic spitting skills of imagine this, whose mr lif style delivery is the perfect foil for a trademark mid tempo bass heavy bump from the ferret. boogie boutique have assembled a fine cast of remix talent too, with big beat veteran cut la roc dropping a fine sample heavy revision that allows the vox to shine. fellow bb artist and montreal dweller nick fonkyson adds some crunchy riffage to the mix, whilst the funk ferrets regrooved sound system partner dj alias concentrates on teasing out some bassline deviancy with some help from benson.

david garcet teamed up with the wonderful female singer marie lenoir and delivers a funky 80s influenced electro pop tune! including a deeper melodic deep-house / tech-house remix from daso!
home to a selection of the globes most cutting edge talent, the rekids imprint is proud to present the debut full ep from one of the scene heroes in toronto, nathan barato. backed by remixes from oliver $ and masked talent 808 fake, back up queen is set to burn through dancefloors with its pumping old school drive and rough edged soul.
foolish felix dickinsons superb cynic label with another hot one! cynics latest release features another killer track from l.h.a.s. inc. (jamie read and felix dickinson). analogue synths and vintage drum machines rock along with an infectious old school style reminiscent of the early sounds coming from chicago and new york in the late 80s early 90s. think clubhouse meets nu groove. on the b side phoreski (felixs fellow resident at londons bad passion) delivers a remix that takes the track to another level, darker haunting synths and a robo vocal asking: do you like the way you feel, will you dance with me?
now, a year after he celebrated the success of his lp good morning midnight, niko schwind ups the heat on stil vor talent with the versatile we are the future ep that showcases a specatacular sonic progression while remaining true to what niko does best: melodic house music. on all i want, niko lures you into a deep abyss aided by a straight groove and rapid vocal stutters until a swampy bassline, subtle piano melodies and a promiscuous female voice swallow you to the point of no return. beautifully melancholic, yet floorfriendly, this a1 is bound to leave its mark on international dance floors!
a shuffling mix of acoustic guitar riffs, licks, natural percussion and of course razs well known melancholic vocal lines all come together to generate a country folk feeling of the 60s. a dampened kick drives the energy deep and harmonicas seep into our minds and set our soul on fire. a fresh track for a hot summer day on the lake. acid pauli takes the track and acidizes it by adding, yep, acid lines and a very direct kick. the track gains more of a main time vibe, heightened energy and deeper bass allow this track to hold its own in a variety of set styles. the final mix is an open air anthem delivered from the sorry entertainers m. rux and lotti. using percussion of the same natural flavor and incorporating dirty synth lines, the two produce a heavier mix worthy of both dancefloors and home listening.
when discussing producers with consistently good outputs, few compare with jan driver. just pulled out his debutalbum amatilda last year, jan driver again dished out an extra tasty and promising morsel: this one-shot named peaker comes with a gigantic brightness in sound and is not less than a slammy hand-clapping celebratory basher. the and heavy subbasses are literally all over the place. jan driver signatures for sure! it has the exact fair amount of tension a track needs to sound excited and to infect your eardrum. on the flip side, action flowers rework pad the track with a golden summerdress, adding a magnificent arpeggio sequence so perfectly complementary to the original sound, its shimmering all the way to the solar system.peaker is proven to be one of our favourite summer releases in 2012 thus far, with its take on a slower beat and more of a late night come-down vibe apparent. you know that feeling when you hear that perfect song for the first time? well, it just happened. twice. weve got goosebumps. were feverish. were sweaty.time for the summer to come. now we impatiently wait. were just a little excited, you know?
RUEFFEL EP (INCL. STEREO EXPRESS REMIX)(2015 REPRESS)
12 Inch 16.07.12
alec troniq tells himself off – with two fluffy and cheery smilemakers on base of light but raving rhythms.in rueffel hes piping, drumming berserk and doing echoism. a sweet remix is delivered by stereo express from atmosphere / burlesque,well-known for their bombs shadoorack and la vie en rose. on b1 alec crashes a russian wedding, kidnaps ljudmila and entrains her to his own spring meadows.the groover on b2 is remixed by a guy named bunched – cutting, stomping and constantly stepping forward.
2016 repress! beatamines & david jach finally arrived at their homebase mangue records after a long roadtrip with several releases on keno records, damm records or deich. the duo is currently on a good buzz with their successful single how never – so its time for a hot follow-up tune with remixes coming from einmusik (jittery heritage, italic, einmusika), purple disco machine (ipoly music, gris musique) and einsauszwei (grain audio).
afriquas first f4t release msgs, is an exceptionally deep house track dusted in warm tape noise and that showcases an effective minimal pulse. the melody resonates long after the track ends, an instant classic after the first listen.
shinigami sans interpretation pushes msgs into the techno arena, deconstructing and rebuilding the track with walls of noise bound by ethereal instrumentation and cavernous echoes. dirty and intense, this leviathan of a track should only be dropped with perfect, purposeful timing.
