BAA BOO / PIANO 89 (10 INCH)
10 Inch
17.04.12
this latest 12 comes courtesy of phil mison & pete herberts much lauded reverso 68 project. baa boo is exactly the kind of blissfully dreamy groove we have come to expect from this accomplished production duo, musical, melodic and tailormade for sunnier climes. on the flip we have piano 89, pretty self explanatory really, but for the benefit of those not pushing 40, its an old school house jam, drenched in the kind of italo piano hook that used to ignite late 80s dancefloors and is destined to do the same some 20 years on - magical.

check the guns are back with the second to last instalment in their tape edit series. it is onwards and upwards for 004 where side one sees a deconstructed work out of the fatback bands >the girl is so fine<. track 2 >house down< is a no holds barred party tune for the discerning dance floor that will do all the work for you. on the flip >sugar samba< is a rework of the london records classic from julia and co. finishing off we have an edit of heatwaves >super soul sister< which is a gem of a vocal funk track that gives as good as it gets and leaves you wanting more.
RAOUL 06 (DEEP SPACE ORCHESTRA RMX)
12 Inch
17.04.12
ly sander & michael j. collins join forces to bring you raoul06 via raoul, a deep, soothing ep. no response is a laid back and haunting piece, featuring warm bass and soaring pads. percussion is kept simple here, with the focus on the bass groove and introspective wording. home listening and chill out sessions arent complete without this air-y number. to bring it up a bit, the >deep space orchestra remix< lays a beat and a groove under the track and takes us to galactic depths. a cool energy is spread throughout and saucy percussion takes the levels higher. this is a late night dance track that gives goose bumps. it will certainly help to reconnect senses in the early morning. >russian roulette< displays nice use of delay and relaxed percussion. this hasnt got the boom of techno, but it does have the space-y synths and ambience to bring you up to your feet. when everything is in place, it feels right an afterparty delight.

DANCE WITH BANDIDOS GANG
12 Inch
17.04.12
transmissions from the cyber dance imprint have been sporadic since its inception in 2005, but when they arrive they are always something very special indeed. ostensibly one of italo discos great lost producers, we suspect that bandidos gang may well be a nom de plume for one of the labels many associates. whatever their provenance, the tracks certainly sound like vintage italo, with >marinche< leading with a pulsating bass arpeggio and synth horn melody worthy of moroder, whilst the flemming dalum & steen gjerulff remix adds layers of vocoder and a variety of cosmic accents to its sturdy frame. >last train to tucamari< meanwhile takes a more languid approach, pulling in an opposite direction to the speeding train samples, whilst flemming dalum & mike saltas remix adds some guitar licks, hazy synth atmospherics and even a flute solo which just adds to the classic italo feel.

a legend of techno music on tigersushi. we are really proud!
an electro hacktivist since the 90s, french techno pionneer, inventor of what became electro clash with miss kittin, true italo disco lover, legitimate son of dopplereffekt and kraftwerk and godfather of the new french sensation gesaffelstein with whom he runs the label zone. when michel amato (his real name) contacted us with a few tracks we felt so honored. he really got back to his roots here with deep italo and electro, warm analog synths against cold robotic drum machines, great melodies. it would have been a hit on the now defunct cbs radio.

shadow dancer is coming back with their 6th release for boysnoize records. paul and al farrier could be considered bnr veterans. with their consistently quality tracks and electryfying live and dj performances they have established themselves as one of top electronic artists around. the new ep is filled with futuristic deep, techno and classic electro (yess electro!!) sounds and the good stuff you need to get down to the floor. second city & jamma show their pure manchester warehouse style, where mashine code goes totally old-nu-school doppeleffektish and when we heared voice tracer we imediately thought of raster noton. thank you shadow dancer! the 4 track ep will be available on vinyl and as a digital download on the 16th of april. out on boysnoize records, april 16th 2012
GAZOLINE EP
12 Inch
16.04.12
for correspondant 06, we have invited another french producer who comes from paris and calls himself offset. after a series of jazz/funk projects, offset found his calling with electronic music. >gazoline< is the title track and its a straight dance floor burner that crawled under our skin on the first listen. >subversive< is proof that slow can be dark, groovy, powerful, and sexy all at the same time, and >addicted< has a taste of trance just the way we like it, not too much, but just enough.
supported by maetrik, karrotte, chloe, ewan pearson, ivan smagghe, the hacker ...
THE RUSH EP
12 Inch
16.04.12
for the boxer jubilee, we have organised a top-class heavyweight fight: martin eyerer, head of kling klong, and florian meindl, chief of flash recordings, have entered into the boxing ring for a two-round title fight: in the first round, >the rush< supported by tactical advice given by the trainer is a fast and merciless series of left jabs followed by sappy, powerful uppercuts and hooks that leave the opponent completely unprotected. gong after a short break, the referees gives the command box, and the showdown starts again: >slow groover< is as light-footed as muhammad ali at his best: always on its toes, full of grace, and with surprising and powerful left-right punch combinations that often end up in a clinch. and with resounding applause, a technically ambitious two-round fight is over, and there are no losers, only winners. so, raise your fist, get your boxing belt on, and meet you on the dance floor
nice price deal !!! many artists have drawn their inspiration for creating wonderful hymns from the phenomenon rainbow and sunshine, just like jules and jazper. they know just how to convince us with their ep regenboog, coming up trumps with floor orientated detroit techno confined to the facts but still giving enough space to dream

where the river turns black, is the first international album by copenhagenresident and musician katrine ottosen aka call me kat. call me kat are adorably intense and mesmerizing songs, an enchanting melancholic, almost translucent drift into this sonic world best described as alternative pop, music that gives spoken word of the ever expanding danish music scene of now. songs that adapt a fine line between organic instrumentation and that very specific sound of her voice, which although completely its own tends to remind at times on other playful ladies in music like bjørk, feist oder lykke li.earlier works with reknown producers valgeir sigurdsson (bjørk, mum, sigur rós etc.) or joe magistro (prophet omega) on the current album have certainly had their share on this.

vinyl only! synths glittering through the night are pierced by metallic percussion and crushed by bass frequencies from a deep abyss! many times have ricardo esposito and micheal nadjé demonstrated their tight dj skills all over europe and now these two brothers have stepped up their game yet again to craft two tracks in a most simple and efficient way that only early chi house is capable of. claps, toms and tambourines rushing fiercely through arped hooks bring back that 87 feeling! the flip transports us back to the present day in the form of two remixes, but wont betray the a-sides spirit. for b1 john spring trades arpeggios for chords and introduces a thump you will surely be able to feel on the floor. kyle, on the other hand, hooks up his analog gear and pulls out synth lines that will get everyone on the dance floor dizzy but only until the bass line crushes their chests.

the new ep from memoria comes from fast-rising romanian producer vid whose previous outings have come on labels including fear of flying and barraca music. vid (vidum) aka sorin rastoaca is a producer obsessed with nature and organic sounds. his latest release >rebirth<, is stripped but not light on feeling, and mines a vein somewhere between deep house and minimal techno. etime is a fluttery, eerie cut that works on many subtle layers. like the feathery minimal percussion of villalobos, the romanians sounds present like flapping butterfly wings as a kick drum punches out a varied pattern below. poem is a little louder and bolder, with a firm rolling kick drum and drunken, wubby sounds running right through its core. plenty of sonic details flesh out the languorous but slightly tribal groove. rebirth is again about little tiny details and how they evolve with time, but the framework they inhabit this time is deep, late-night house with gentle tinkles on keys coming over like a fluttering candle in the dark. 3729 gets its head down and mines a shifty, itching and tight minimal groove, closing out an ep which shows vid to be a master of working minimum sounds into maximum effects.

we have decided to publish these tracks as our first release because they took inspiration from the two words label name: eleusína and recreations. thinking about that ancient mysteries and hoping they could survive till nowadays and in the future as a aid of our poor life helped us a lot in composing these tracks.
the two track ep was compost almost interely by machines with a little computer aid. cause we are only humans and conditioned by our fears and weaknesses, we have decided to make them almost mono tracks to maximize the transfer achievement to vinyl. have we took the wrong way? we do not know, but we keep some time to reflect about that and find the best balance between stereo and mono that fits our soul.
here we are, is not time for words right now, let the sounds speak.

nsyde is delighted to welcome another outstanding artists within our little growing family, imugem orihasam. with this ep nsyde indulges his love for pure detroit techno.imugem orihasam succeeds like no other to balance apparent opposites by using cool and clear transparency in contrast to the mesmerizing and warm pulsating soundscapes to create depth of the highest quality. if jeff mills and john beltran would ever have collaborated then it would probably sound like a1 gleam from distant gate is one of those tracks which seem quite unremarkable first, but with the time it creates a massiv hypnotic attraction, a wormhole-like effect you cannot escape from. that space seems endless, just right big enough to loose yourself in it. b1 misty evening seems to be just the right soundtrack to build an underwater metropolisis. it starts building a 2 minute elevated tension before its firering on all cylinders. b2 kotoni is clearest balance and harmony. it sooths your soul like the presense of a japanese garden. spirits are floating free time and space is marvelous! welcome imugem orihasam!

christian smiths tronic label enjoyed a fantastic year in 2011, persistently receiving plaudits from the media, scene tastemakers and the record buying public for the labels consistently first-rate output that consisted of a genre-blurring mixture of tech house and progressive flavoured techno floor-smashing grooves. since meeting in berlin during summer of 2011, christian smith and florian meindl have stuck up a productive studio partnership. having released their first collaboration - desire - via meindls flash imprint in december, this subsequent ep for tronic sees the duo take their corporation a stage further with a two tracks of slightly left of centre yet unashamedly peak-time tech house. mothership leads off the ep with a distinctive retro-electro bassline that builds into the main hook via a series of peaks and drops before taking off into a tweaked crescendo of high-pitched tones. red alert opts for a subtler approach, creating its simple but effective groove from jacking percussion and wobbly synth stabs, which pulse throughout, morphing to distorting and echoing in the break.

eduardo de la calle releases three new records, two on analog solutions, and one on sub label suprawax. musically, the tracks tie in with where he left of, featuring held back percussion, hypnotic and prolonged use of slowly modulated patterns. several tracks even do away completely with hi-hats. once in a while the almost trademark tweak of the delay tears the tracks open that are otherwise reduced to the essence of a deep groove. these records mark a new high point in de la calles musical output: they meld an awareness of techno history - and, let us be candid, sometimes samples out of it - with a tripped-out understanding for the passing time on the dance floor. the result is a form of distinctly contemporary dance music. all the same, de la calls music eludes present day trends of going overtly retro and being contently at rest in nothing but epigonism. nor are they the maximised-to-death tracks spun of the present day techno functionalist goading crowds by the means of formalistic upbuilds over and over. his sound carves out a niche quite its own: its the ultimate modern day dj tool. all records have been pressed in a run of 320 copies and come in inside-out natural cardboard sleeves. no represses are planned at present.

many prominent figures throughout history have proclaimed that you can get by with a little help from your friends now whilst this is a lovely romantic notion and does, we suppose have some (albeit very small) grounding in reality you need a bit more if you want to progress through life as opposed to simply jog in. zoo look are a good example of this, whilst sam, alex and craig have been friends for quite some time, forging their completely plutonic relationship through djing together, their latest release, number 11 on join the dots is forged from more than simply the burning fires of friendship, its born out of a love of all things deep as well as house music based. they may be mates but you can also get along very well if you have bags of talent too.

the album is very well-received, and their talents for combining gloomy synths and crisp drum pads with atmospheric guitars and sparklingly fresh melodies mark that giana factory have found a sound that is entirely theirs - that here were three women, who do their own, unique thing. adding on to this is a monthly 7inch vinyl series containing a track from the album

lisbons gala drop have been paving the way in recent years towards an aggregative, universionalist stance on the existentially groovy as a crucial vessel towards enlightenment and understanding amongst the human race. their music is an extremely transparent ongoing constellation of achievements, which transpires an enormous love of music as salvation, a progressive & deeply miscigenated conglomerate of obsessive empathy.
versa and rowl are names that have been kicking about for some time now and those who have had there ear to the ground know that these boys are about to blow! all 3 tracks are just stunning. >lunar< is a rhodes journey into 2 step heaven with a serious low end. then >zoidiac< takes it to a 170bpm, but still keeps a soulful vibe that is a delight on the ears. last up, but by no means least is >warewolf< that is currently being championed by mary ann hobbs. other support includes phaeleh, skream, chefal, synkro, indigo and too many more to mention! smokin sessions deliver once again
