great follow up of dolly dubs 01! once again staffan lindberg is delivering. his nice & smooth the orbit is a great & optimistic club track that will have the sun shine on any floor, with the mighty trevino remix adding a slightly rough edge to the original version. but dont let the easy-going fool you! the b-side dives in deeper territories with y2k that reminds a bit of early kevin saunderson works, and feel like dancing, which is a proper sexy house burner for the morning hours. wonderful & diverse release.

this is a piece of estonian underground musics history. more than 20 years ago, in estonia, hypnosaurus were pioneers of deep house and techno, the first ones to have gone with this new strange rhythmic music into the studio and into the dark basements of tallinn.the remix is by the strange and wonderful chicago producer hieroglyphic being. this is soul music of rusty funk-robots. for this remix he is said to have tried out new methods of dealing with sounds, switching them on and off.
dj rocca kicks off his new release with a bouncy, deep and machine driven track laced with occasional synth stabs and highlighted with simple but effective percussion. next up is a wonderful track weaving in out of a harmonic house theme and a synth heavy banger. this tune will definitely drop some jaws and raise some eyebrows on the dance floor with dancers mesmerized by the lightness with which rocca switches up the game in one tune. to finish up the ep the b-side serves up a house heavy theme with a slightly distorted vocal and a more psychedelic slow jam perfect for the next late-late session.
the wonderful bokhari label return with their fifth release. young hungarian super talent gnork joins the bokhari stable with two summer beauties. lead track *you are totally* is a melodic delight, underpinned with precision drum work and healthy dose of feel good - a festival track if ever we heard one! solar striker is a stunning slice of emotive techno, with hypnotic, oscillating riffs and more of those superbly crafted rhythms. everyones favourite ukranian vakula, transforms solar striker into a sweaty warehouse banger.
with the track *time machine*, dj and producer michael nielebock provided us with a fantastic debut on our deep circus label. his first success came for the berlin resident with the track pure visionson the treibstoff label, which entered the charts and the record cases of many international djs. his productions all are characterized by a driving groove, mixed with spherical elements, strings and synth-sounds. with *time machine* he also managed to bring this mixture to perfection in cooperation with his studio buddy leevey, thus creating a track which will make the day and caress the ears of many outdoor dancers this summer.
the second track on the ep is a wonderful remix by burak sar aka sis, who recently released his second album *confidance* on his label cocolino. the sis remix stays close to the original track, but reduces the spherical sounds and puts a greater focus on the basses, resulting in a great piece with a lot of deepness. nice!

cavaan is the alter ego of a rather well known berlin producer and his fellow from milan. the duo debuts with their very much loved project. they feature a studio-recorded wonderful vocal on this hypnotically modern percussive house affair titled black snow. the original track grooves on some free swinging retro percussions and beats from the 80s machinery and a softly moving house-beat making this a very subtle killer for any dancefloor. while the vocals carry the track as light as a feather it is after the breakdown that things get really musical - you will hear yourself while listening the melodies and sequences. for the remixes turdjr has aligned a high-quality and diverse array of a current top producer. one of heidelbergs coolest kids on the block, lopazz knows that every track gets better with a lot of handmade music-and he sure is right in his interpretation of black snow. last not least i is under on the flip which is one of these tracks that sucks the listener in so deep that there is simply no escape: repetitive yet constantly changing and constantly grooving while remaining very pure! this release is filled with tracks that will long echo on the dancefloor!

what do you do when a live project exceeds its own ambitions? just keep doing the wonderful concerts and eventually head to the studio. sounds simple and conclusive. in the case of karocel, that was exactly how they went about it and surprisingly, all six band members made it happen. though the four marbert rocels, mathias kaden and michael-mitchi-nagler have known each other from their hometown along the gera-jena-erfurt corridor, and the karocel live shows have been well received: an album is an entirely different beast.

scott mou, known as one half of the duo jane – the folk techno drone duo he had with panda bear - aswell as part of manhattans famous record store other music, debuts with his soloproject queens. johan jacobsen describes the wonderful music of queens in oxymorons, colorful monochrome, myopic depth, sad joy, driven slowness, enlightened darkness, universal intimacy, ethereal earthboundness ... as it should be. queens is one of those wonderful artists who are hard to catch on the fly, who escapes easy definition. his music is an unexpected and unimagined universe ready to be explored, and it s a universe that is wonderful to be in. when dial records david lieske and peter kersten listened to a performance of their new york based friend in 2009, it was one of those unforgettable unique experiences you only have once in a long while these days. the idea of releasing an album was born. the production of end times involved other labelmates such as phillip sollmann aka efdemin (recording), kassian troyer (mixing) and hendrik weber, who once joined a life performance on stage with scott mou in 2012.

the guys from audision are back with their next release in coloured vinyl! they produced chimes 1 for their live-set and it was much appreciated by the crowd. their new syntie roland jd 800 sounded crystal clear in their studio, but when they practiced for their live set in frankurt last year, all of a sudden it played a different sound … this was a magic moment which had to be recorded at once. the typcial audision device is: let the machines do the talking. and that is the also the story of chimes 2 *away* was the beatless track from their last years release up & away. so no one else but gez varley aka g-man created a dancefloor monster out of it. where can we start, when we talk about such a genius like gez varley. he was co-founder of the legendary lfo (warp records) duo. he wrote music history with his partner mark bell. under his solo project g-man, he released on labels like wir, i220, force inc or swim. *quo vadis* is still one of the most important all-time favourite techno tracks. last but not least a typical rough and deep house mix came out of christopher raus machines. the smallville member released on labels like, pampa, derive, aim, mule… and delivered a great track for this wonderful release. all in all - a must have!
another round of wonderful eclectic delights from balearica. side a features the in demand *tonys song* by tony g. originally released back in 88, this floorfilling electro-tinged house classic features an incredibly catchy piano riff, phat bassline and some spoken vocals taken from al pacinos *scarface*. a massive hit both at amnesia in ibiza as well as at manchesters hacienda and at the early acid house parties, this track still sounds super fresh. next up is the dope vocoder-laden groove of escape from new yorks *slow beat* - a brilliant balearic chugger that features high on many most-wanted lists. on the flipside, we get the much desired slo-mo disco of steve benders *the final thing* - a moog-heavy groover that hit big at both the balearic parties and on italys cosmic scene. then finally, to round off this great compilation is the extended instrumental version of bowie & methanys *this is not america* - a favourite of everyone from alfredo to theo parrish. quality stuff!
