magdalena s -elementum ep- is her first full ep on diynamic music. the 3-tracker marks the beginning of a busy summer season for her. the opening track -mountains of es cubells- pays tribute to ibiza s after party culture � which occurs in private houses that open when the clubs close, out in the warm air and sunlight, and a very intimate atmosphere. the protagonist s verdict -i think tonight i see ibiza like it was 25 years ago- sums it up perfectly. -nautilus- is a dreamy melodic house cut, ethereally swerving through a sea of hypnotic percussions and brassy synth elements.
closing off the record is -radialis-, a brooding and gloomily minimalistic techno tune.

some used to think that here s a guy who s just too cute to be underground, but sebastien bouchet proved them all wrong - with releases like the trippy -fallen angel- ep (kompakt 210) or his gutsy contribution to kompakt s speicher series (kompakt extra 77). he also had a spectacular appearance on you and your hippie friends inaugurating release -a very nice combinado volume uno- (yayhf 01) with the tune -captain drag- - which went on to be played around the world, from clubs and festivals to chanel fashion runways. now, sebastien returns with coyote cry, his first full-blown ep for the hippie dance sister label: eclectic and unique, this five tracker reflects different sides and moods in his work, but always takes the momentum center stage - from the guitar-infused vocal shaker jambe de bois to the heavy-duty bass of jatagarazi or the melancholic drive of the glistening title cut.

the next modern hypnosis sees the first official vinyl release from another channel. the young german producer jonas schachners (another channel) has been at the fore front of the new wave of �dub techno� that has been lurking in the underground over the last few years. his dubbed out analog sound has left some accrediting his productions as �picking up where rhythm & sound left off�. his debut 12� gives us two very unique tracks. the a side �lord 35� is an energetic synth driven tune which sitting at 135bpm, in a two-step style is made for the dance. the b side �corruption� sees an international connection with the original composition created in germany by another channel, then the overdubbing of vocals supplied by ethiopian vocalist enushu taye (the black jesus experience) in her native amharic, recorded and mixed by mystik in his melbourne studio. the warm analog stabs and punchy bassline accompanied with enushu taye�s haunting vocals makes for a beautiful piece of music.

joseph white aka joe white is a foundation of jamaican music. he started singing in the late 50 s and did his first recordings for duke reid in the early 60 s. while disco sound was bumping into jamaican people mind, he formed the group roots, trunks & branches to release several tracks on the label splendour heights. �rising / power disco power� is taken from the album the weak will be strong released in 1978. a beautiful extended disco reggae tune mainly played by joe white (drums, piano, vocal). this issue was fully remastered on a disco 45 vinyl record to give respect to the dynamic. on the other side you will get the reggae lovers roots rock tune �ain t no way / the monster�, an extended version with deep dubwise. you ve got it!

the unstoppable most excellent unlimited charges ahead with the ninth in the heralded mr. k 45s edits series, with this latest edition the most intriguing to date. deep in danny krivit s voluminous collection is a 7-inch acetate rescued from the records left behind by master mixer and dj walter gibbons when he passed away in 1994. the mysterious plate, simply labeled -1, 2, 3,- was custom cut by gibbons for his personal use in the early 70s when he and a partner operated a service called melting pot sounds that provided one-off copies of otherwise unobtainable imports for nyc disc jocks. most of the 20-odd known releases on melting pot sounds have been identified, but the true provenance of -1, 2, 3- has remained elusive. the tune is a screaming, instrumental disco delight, with aggressive clavinet riffing broken up periodically by raunchy sax. for this most excellent unlimited issue, mr. k meticulously transferred his unique gibbons acetate and further intensified the already propulsive track with a few choice edits of his own. not to be outdone, the flip side focuses on a ferocious percussion break that has previously only been available on a very poor quality 12-inch single. -sweet summer suite- by love unlimited orchestra has long been noted for its intro, a concoction of conga, cowbell, cuica and cabasa that drives dancers wild with its relentless, intense groove underpinned by a booming bass slide. making its 7-inch debut here, the groove has been extended and teased as only a master could do, complimenting the a-side and creating a powerful dj weapon. as always, this most excellent unlimited single has been mastered and pressed to the highest standards with loud dj usage in mind, and will be available in extremely limited quantities

memento s steadfast head-honcho idirss d is back on his own label with -shams-, a maxi-single with two cuts of pure sonic bliss, finely embellished with soul and dedication for his personal d.i.b series. �shams� is an overwhelming dancefloor tune that expands on a flangered sequence, crackling arpeggios, an uplifting galactic pad, shredded male hooks and finally an esoteric slice of a female lyric. �piramide� is a fast technotic ride over an hypnotic tribal chant. a fat saturated bass drum and crispy claps open the way to an highly resonant synthetic lead that spins around itself over and over again, submerging and resurfacing with furious snares and rapid hi-hats. the two sides of the record entirely disclose idriss sharpened club sense and his superb taste for graceful arrangements.

kdas hate me (featuring playwright and poet patrick cash) is the freshest sounding british house music record for years. first given to a select handful of djs, including jackmaster, seth troxler, jamie jones, tiga and pete tong (essential new tune on radio 1), hate me has dominated their sets since ims. originally slated as the first single on kdas new label the 35 records, hate me has been picked up by bmg and will be available as a collaborative label release from 8 december (impact mid-feb).

its been a year and a half since we last saw la fleur grace watergate records with a proper ep, having been featured on remix duties for sashas trigonometry and her contribution femton to the celebrated 15 years compilation. so her brand new outbreaker ep arrives just in time to curb any impatience you might have waiting for her signature blend of house and techno aesthetics fused with modern production techniques that sets her apart from her peers. la fleur kicks things off with a wild heaving bass line and crisp, distinctive organic claps on �devils sigh setting the tone for the hypnotic groove that soon turns into a high energy burner of explosive bursts and an incredibly unique lead guaranteeing an absolute hit. it only gets better when one of the hottest acts on the scene, tuff city kids, lend their talents for a remix and turn devils sigh into an analog heavy, future-retro banger thats as different as it is the same as the original, creating a perfect alternative to the already killer original. wrapping things up, la fleur takes it a little slower and deeper with outbreaker by utilizing lush organic percussion and washed out guitars to build a tune that will be the anthem for early mornings, open airs and beach sessions alike. we couldnt be happier to have the first lady of watergate back at the controls and we think you will agree.

in a nutshell: mellow floating braindance, electro, quirky and wonky techno beyond standard schemes. a1 we start with sane - the hangover. this tune is made for quirkier techno sets. it is a funky wonky techno tune mocking around with a whistling lead synth on top of a tripped out beat. a2 next one is chordata - silent singer. electrobeats mark the rhythm for this progressive adventure into space. electro in the good old detroit or dutch fashion. a3 jochen heym is also featured twice on it. after his ep -sononaut- this time he brings a mellow braindance electro tune: floating soul b1 in addition b1 contains a remix of the cling clang ambient tune of the stonedwave005 => chip tronic transforms the ambient piece into a hectical electro tune. b2 b2 is the final tune. chip tronic - frequency modulated metallic wide hypnotic screaming leads are being carved into the listeners brain while being distrted and modulated by any means available. the number 18 implies => dark techno rhythms for wonky minds who love it more distorted.

the next yoshitoshi classic is here and it s a heavy one - dino lenny s -i feel stereo.- anyone on the scene in 2001, when this monster tune was originally released, remembers its pulsing rhythms and ear-catching vocal hook. seventeen years later, -i feel stereo- is back with three remixes from some of the finest artists around. steve lawler (working here as lawler) has crafted a badass, bassline-driven house track that pummels with all the energy of the original. steve continues his reign as as key innovator in dance music, modernizing this classic with unquestionable finesse. the red axes boys deliver their silky smooth brand of minimal house with a variety of distorted arpeggio riffs, futuristic chimes, and other left-field sounds that make their remix truly unique. it s another ace production from the israeli duo. last but certainly not least, up-and-comer frankyeffe, who delivered the goods on his collaborative splitting minds ep with loco & jam last fall, serves up some impeccably produced techno for big, loud rooms. the italian phenom s mix is absolute savagery. of course, it wouldn t be a yoshi classic pack without a remastered original mix.

after recent outings from the likes of felix leifur and tlim shug, frits wentink is back on his own bobby donny label. his previous releases have been solo affairs but this time he is in collaboration with tristan hallis aka dj boring. the origins of london based dj & producer lie in australia, where he was raised and cultured amongst some of the most interesting musical phenomena of the 21st century a1 is an inventive tune with bristling drums and break beats run through with warped vocals, razor sharp hi hats and mellow padts deep but dynamic and will get you on your toes. b1 then chops up more trippy vocal samples and curious synth sounds with elastic, pinging kick drums and makes for something woozy yet groovy and full of intrigue. last but not least, b2 channels classic deep house vibes with balmy pads, garage style percussion and more slick drum work that really brings something fresh. this is a trio of cuts that bring the best out of each producer and results in truly original music.

the finnish tropical troupe maajo is back with a two-track ep. in contrast to the afro-balearic sound of their 2016 debut tropic of tulli, the new defo / mansaba ep is a step in a deeper and sometimes darker direction. defo kicks off the ep with a driving 5/4 rhythm. reminiscent of mark ernestus� ndagga sounds, it is a tribal tune with maajo�s signature ethereal disco elements. trevor deep jr.�s version straightens out the original�s unconventional time signature and focuses on a four-to-four beat and plenty of berliner dub. the remix is a solid dancefloor tool, traversing the original like a train making its way through a dark rainforest. the b-side is entirely covered by mansaba, a 14-minute long journey into inwards. this studio jam, recorded largely live, is a wild mixture of polyrhythmic sequences, krautrock guitar licks, equatorial forest percussion and violin synths. the trip starts slow and soothing, sneakily picks up pace and keeps grow and growing, eventually exploding into a full-on tribal dance.

relentless apparel wax never misses a beat and is back at it with aplwax003, the 3rd chapter of the saga. the release is made up of 3 tracks, 3 distinct parts of the same engine, 3 proper dance floor bangers. the ep kicks off with a compelling broken-jazzy beat, with its groovy breakdown and reprises and its funky vocals its that one track youll need to shazam on the spot. the 2nd tune will have you right away when youll hear those tribal rhythmics and hypnotic vocals that drive it till the end while the 3rd is the typical one youd call a peak time track.

his latest release i know from elypsia records is a quintet of detroit inspired remixes of the song i know. inspired by kevin saunderson, his original techno mix (7:06) is a hardcore and high energy track with intensity to match the wildest of crowds. the ep also contains 3 remixes of the track, each exposing and accentuating the brilliant aspects of his complex tune. it begins with the lucien foort remix (6:41), a lively big room hit with a punch fit for an epic saturday night. uk mix (6:46) follows with subtle electric melo-dies and rhythmic drum and bass patterns that give listeners the feel of wonder and excitement under a clear starry sky. with a clean and gravitating groove bit float remix (7:42) would fit perfectly in any ibiza party with flair and style.

its been 4 years since the last music compilation on mindtrip. mutable minds brings together a mixture of five exceptional and talented artists whose sound matches perfectly with the mindtrip philosophy. head honcho, pfirter, and swedish pär grindvik contribute the first track of the release with their diversified collaboration embodied in a hypnotic and extraordinary tune whilst diego amura takes the lead with a track that is characterized by driving rhythm and haunting sequences. savas pascalidis debuts on the label with a trippy-sci-fi interpretation and the release closes with one of the latest guests on mindtrip podcast, fanon flowers, who takes us into a dark, mental and conceptual techno journey. the final outcome is mesmerizing and all four tracks can be seen on different aspects of an all night long set. this is mindtrip!

der wahl-new-yorker chrome sparks veröffentlicht vielseitiges debütalbum auf counter records! chrome sparks (aka jeremy malvin) weiß, wie er seine tracks im besten licht stehen lässt. sein selbstbetiteltes debütalbum, das via counter records (ein ninja tune-sublabel) erscheint, sticht heraus mit einem funkelnden sound: eine euphonie aus hiphop, house und hell leuchtender arbeit am synthesizer. die platte ist das endergebnis jahrelanger arbeit in malvin�s marinewerft (seinem studio in brooklyn) und einer abgelegen hütte nördlich von new york. allein dort hat er einen ganzen monat allein zugebracht, um den ablenkungen der stadt zu entkommen und um diesen prozess zu destillieren, was anschließend zu einer periode intensiver kreativität wurde. auf dem album selbst finden sich zusammenarbeiten mit dem australischen duo kllo (ghostly) und body languages� angelica bess (die auch bereits mit machinedrum kollaborierte). das album ist sowohl ergebnis eines obsessiven produktionsansatzes als auch über die rastlose jagd nach neuen ideen. sein kreative mentalität wurde sowohl durch live-auftritte als auch studiogegniedel geprägt. sie ist das grundgerüst, das es ihm erlaubte, so viele diffuse ideen wirklichkeit werden zu lassen, die schlussendlich in einem hervorstechenden und vielfältigen debütalbum resultieren.

discotheque fantastique is a musical collaboration that produces an eclectic spectrum of genres, somewhere between psychedelic rock, rare groove, funk and cosmic disco.

the first release is an ep with three driving tracks. the first track by discotheque fantastique -carnaval- has a percussive beat, hypnotic bassline, solid funk breaks with layers of tension. the second track by herr 2003 s -bourdonnement de l amour- is an amazing rework of a classic 70 s psychedelic rock tune with a groovy bass line, punchy female vocals and a shimmering arpeggiator synth. on the b side, club bizarre delivers an incredible extended version of a classic french cut from the 80 s.

meditative and off-kilter, dubkasm�s new 12� is, unsurprisingly, completely unlike any other tune out there, and pays tribute to a too-frequently overlooked part of reggae tradition: dub poetry. originating in a collaboration between dubkasm and their long-time friend, norway-dwelling heavyweight bass guitarist, bajan steppa, enter the gates is a discomix built on a tuff bassline, skittering drums and retro synths, and features reflective, courageous lyrics about the enduring power of black liberation movements and consciousness, from gloucester vocalist rider shafique. the b-side contains an upfront instrumental cut, followed, in true dubkasm style, by a collaboration with a musical titan. mad professor�s incredible dub flips the original into a propulsive soundsystem killer, retaining the tune�s heart and spirit, but driving and percussive where the original is deep and soulful. mastered on to 1/2� tape at stardelta studios, and pressed on 180g vinyl.
