mussurunga - that is the name which is used by the complete body inked cousins sigi aigner and didi bruckmayr for their outstanding performances on club dance-parties, festivals, free-parties and weddings in the home- and foreign-countries since more than two years. at their shows they use deep bass-lines, demanding beats, gentle hooklines and raging 3-d objects. the large sized mr. state-opera-chorister aigner and the dwarfish universal-bush-leaguer dr. bruckmayr also are known for their benedictional work with the performance-group fuckhead, for them they count as finded minds. mussurunga is a frowing suburb of the brazilian provincial capital salvador da bahia, which aigner and bruckmay vistied job related. while one of them waited without success for a date in mussurunga and spent all the spondulix which was meant for the taxi, the other one worked very hard in the regional beach-bars on artistic concepts. the result of this jobshare is, among other things, the present ep.

new clone basement series (lucky number 013!) with the long awaited return of a made up sound (aka 2562), following up on his archive ep/cbs02. written as a counterbalance to the more experimental releases on his own amus label series, archive ii finally unleashes whats possibly his most banging, straight-forward club material to date, while retaining the trademark a made up sound funk and swing.hang-up is all about the irresistible herbie-injected groove, cut-up and layered to great effect, whereas things get darker and bass-heavier with technotrack sweetback on the flip. keeping the tension high till a drop towards the end, seven minutes never seemed so short. a great first number 013 release and we cant wait to hear some of our favourite djs play the tracks out loud. another proper banger on the clone basement series!

big new release from loco dices prodical son!! dj support from loco dice, franck roger, subb-an, dusky, jordan peak,.. tsubas favourite mexican, hector makes a welcome return to the label with the hide ep, his most accomplished work to date. the original of hide shows hector at his most melodic with live percussion and keys working in perfect harmony. b side follow the leader features a killer vocal and has been a secret weapon of desolat boss loco dice for several months.

one day while sharpening his hip-hop skills, the prince sets up shop in his favorite studio, an oversized king bed in a pile of synthesizers, drum machines and keyboards. an abundance of classic samples overflowing with soulful fills inspired baby prince to record one of his most sensitive vocal messages to date. an ideas man, baby prince struggled to get the mix right and tight. so lonely c swoops in, hits record and lays down the track in one clean shot. ooohwee! i want to squeeze you is born. the pillowtalk boys heard the new noise and accepted remix duties without question. their results, the phat philly remix, is a timeless house version with a powerful vocal addition from sammy d himself. lace up yer raving kicks.

razor sharp futuristic textures from the bristol based producer, dropping one of his deadliest eps to date. stratagalastico is an absolute bomb of machine-made dynamite, dark and deadly for those who like to lurk in the shadows. creepy shenanigans are most certainly the order of the day, but with that said, marco ends the ep with a deep, melodic piece titled bugs in the virus, a transcendent composition that enriches the stratagalastico experience and completes the package. killer!

agnes is known for his usual deep, dubbed-out minimal techno productions and explores as well more house-influenced rhythms and textures. agnes runs the geneva-based label sthlmaudio recordings. launched in 2003, sthlmaudio has released tracks by agnes, puma, octex, apoll, cabanne, croatian producers luka & lazo and lately the swiss duo azuni. agnès also had a well received ep on cabannes minibar label (treat me bad) and upcomming releases in late 2006 on plak records, einmaleins musik and perspectiv records. he has recently started to collaborate with the zurich based label drumpoet community under the moniker of cavalier. he also released to date 2 ep under his ray valioso name for real soon records in the uk.

after debuting with an albums worth of experimental, ambient electronic explorations from the hugely talented nyc based jason letkiewicz under his alan hurst moniker, the emotional response label maintains such high standards with their second release. the focus shifts to timothy j fairplay, a uk producer whose growing discography is proving to be impressive too. ears should still be ringing to his world unknown released homage to ancient egypts predilection for psychedelic drugs and its little surprise he has been hand picked for the debut release on sir weatheralls new vinyl initiative bird scarer. the four tracks that make up somebody, somewhere retain that dubby mid tempo poise that permeated fairplays output to date, though he seems to revel in the freedom to experiment emotional response encourages, focusing more on developing expansive patterns of synths on tracks like >aim for the yellow sector< and the title track. special mention too for >i do not believe< which comes on in a deep medi doing digidub style!

the excellent lumberjacks in hell imprint has served up some fine edits in its short lifespan to date, most notably from chicagos mutant beat dancer traxx and the labels latest release turns to two other windy city residents renowned for their collections and skills. rahaan needs little introduction for the disco loving community with essential drops on stillove4music, disco deviance and more, whilst mr sounds runs the excellent bring the heat website. this twelve is all about the a side >rainin bleeding boy< which puts a well loved uk ebm couple through the dub laden beatdown grinder - though djs will get plenty of mileage out of both tracks on the b side with >flip side< some supremely chopped up disco funk and >war i declare< a stomping and heavily filtered bomb.

after introducing iron curtis and catz n dogz to the label on the chart topping retrofit no. 8 ep we follow up with another new introduction, martin dawson in collaboration with label boss jay shepheard.here on the retrofit no.9 ep the pair deliver a quad pack of quality electronic music ranging from the peak-time dance floor killers kinds of people and cut a hole to the laid back mid tempo house of obey your aul (featured as the opening track on shepheards recent ra podcast) and the bouncing hip hop groove of megaface 3k.this is certainly one of the most diverse releases on the label to date and if early crowd reactions are anything to go by looks like it will be one of the most popular too!

being the hopeless romantics we are here at circus company, when we fall for an artist we tend to do it head over heels. you may have witnessed this in the past with some of our dearest protégés, from dave aju to nicolas jaar. now we are embarking on the same kind of whirlwind affair with franck roger, the glow only just retreating from our cheeks after he won our hearts with the i take you up ep. like a well-seasoned casanova, franck has found the perfect way to follow up that first date with an even deeper reflection of himself as an artist, leaving us flustered and quite simply stunned by his charm.

nynfus corporation is the name of a crew of rising starts in the nu funk/ghetto funk scene. top class ghetto funk productions with an ethnic twist are what the 3 boys from budapest, hungary are all about. after doing release on the bombastic jamand bigm label the crew turned to bbp to drop their dopest release to date. the a-side gives us funky peak time ghetto pumpin jams, whiles the b-side shows us a little a of that ethnic/europeanstyles the boys do all so well. all 4 tunes are tested with party rockin guarantee, and they will surely be doing some major damage on the dancefloors this summer.

first up is tabou for the people by sofrito specials featuring l barrabas which twitch edited for his dj sets a couple of years back. the lovely people at sofrito kindly gave permission for it to be included on this release. its a relentlessly driving slab of 4/4 afro funk with horn explosions. next up is the 10th and final track in twitchs cumbia series. the first 8 were released on japans lets get lost label and the missing number 9 is being saved for a future release. colombias cumbia was born out of african influences. this track is based around a sample from colombian cumbia legend andres landero and is an attempt to fuse traditional cumbia sounds with up to date production styles. the end result is a slow motion hypnotic cumbia retaining the haunting melancholia inherent in the original sample. leading the aa side, twitch passed a wild highlife song by ghanas atakoru manu to glasgows super talented auntie flo (whose highly recommended future rhythm machine album recently saw a release) to play around with. auntie flo cut it up and added additional drums and bass to come up with this euphoric modern highlife groover

since their highly anticipated and widely acclaimed 2008 debut album >silent movie<, quiet village, aka matt edwards and joel martin have been exploring other music avenues under their maxxi & zeus moniker. now they are back, with >too high to move< a compilation of their most inspiring and sought after remixes to date, stitched together with love by maxxi & zeus. quiet village is the infamous duo comprising of matt edwards aka radio slave and joel martin (velvet season & the hearts of gold). their debut album on !k7 was a balearic masterpiece proving one of the quintessential albums of 2008. this new compilation comprises of a selection of their finest and most sought after remixes to date. both tracks on this sampler are unreleased remixes which will only ever be available on this exclusive vinyl!

little is known about the norwegian bunny & bear duo known simply as the glue. their last appearance with us came courtesy of kolour ltd and we knew right then that these boys were in-store for their own ep with us and we are pleased to announce that it has finally come to fruition.
remix duties see the return of the incomparable dead rose music company to the kolour fray. he takes the title track and rubs it into a chunky piece of dancefloor business that has without a doubt turned into one of our favorite remixes to date.

detroit house at its best. amazing high tech jazz influenced 4 tracker by orlando b. after hearing orlando bs 2 full eps on germanys yore records, ric mcclelland & sean grieve head hunted the scottish producer for their seven music label. orlandos first outting on the belfast imprint was at the start of 2012 with a remix of giorgio luceris >one more time<. not content with just a remix, seven music asked orlando for some original works and here we have the >city life ep<. 4 tracks of chicago and detroit inspired goodness! the scottish producer and dj started making music at the age of 15 using an atari and notator sl. inspired by artists such as jeff mills, the advent, dave clarke and ian pooley, orlando began his career making techno. fast forward to 2012, orlandos studio is predominantly analogue based and his sounds have progressed to a deeper and more retrospective house sound. with 4 original tracks (1 of which is exclusive to the 12inch vinyl) the >city life ep< is arguably orlandos finest work to date. timeless yet forward thinking electronic music with soul and a record that deserves a place in any discerning djs collection!

2methyl (aka 2methylbulbe1ol) is an up and coming 26 year old audio heavyweight from the east of france. at first a fan of post-hardcore, grindcore and noise rock, his discovery of venetian snares and xanopticon opened new boundaries for him to explore, resulting in his own distinctive, crushing sound. he uses music as a form of narrative, leading dance floors through intriguing cyberpunk, industrial soundscapes. 2methyl s releases to date include 2 ep s on rotator s ruff recordings imprint, and another one on komodo dragon records. he shared stage with eight frozen module, niveau zero, sinister souls, counterstrike, reso, dope d.o.d, luke viber, shitmat.with his new ep on overclockheadz rec., 2methylbulbe1ol dives deeper into his approach of dubstep,a blend of metallic heaviness, mechanic pianos dull melancholia and the humming of sub-bass reminiscing the hyper technological sounds of neuro-funk. 3 dystopian visions of an hyperspace haunted by fantasies of civilization, 3 requiems for mankind sung by orphan automatons. to complete the whole, a stripped-out version of golem by hecq, a mastering by angelos liaros (mobthrow), splendidly-sleeved by the old accomplice okiko.

his voice is shot, but he sounds warmer, more relaxed, and old mr. grumpy is as good humoured as on >the basement tapes< (movlp 429). bob is in a wistful, elegiac, playful mood. he has recovered the humanity he lost on >time out of mind<, and is looking on life with loving eyes. he has thrown off the weight of life and is remembering a better self. and that makes this one of his more accessible albums, despite a lack of high-flying hit songs.
