MAHER AMAD EP
12 Inch
19.07.07
nice price deal !!! swiss dj and producer dani koenig is the next star on 3rd floor records. with releases on own and other labels since 1995, this is a gentleman whos been around for a long time and should be reckoned with. most recently hes released on four twenty recordings wich was a big success. we believe that what he delivers here is of his very finest. a1. floatet a perfect a-side! the thumping and grooving bass line is the heart and life-giving source of this track. layer upon layer of rolling percussions, filled with energy. as explicit as the sun on a summer day….loco dice has already proven this as b2 featured on his time warp cd from earlier this year

been impressed by his remix on wall of sound... i loved it. i also heard he won some remix competition. like a grammy, only not a grammy. the tracks he sent were amazing... but his hair, while being orange (no bonus) was not corn-rowed. while i argued vigorously that i had worked too long and hard building up turbo to see it go all >ginger<... von party defended the duke, saying it might show how open-minded we are. when i re-listened to the tracks i decided that it was well worth the risk. so.... what you now hold in your hand is the debut on turbo of duke dumont: the mysterious bad ass from the wrong-side of the tube, the hardboiled london underground pioneer who once had to eat a sampler to survive, the future of dance music, and the past of the future of dance music
SCREAMING HANDS (WINK & COSMO VITELLI REMIXES)

19.07.07
super-hyped & long-awaited bomb !! matt edwards aka radio slave certainly excelled himself when he created his gnarly acid-drenched minimal-tech shoulder popper that first surfaced in late 06 on the no sleep ep (part 2). but now is time for the remixes. first up is josh wink, a man whose reputation goes before him. his >interpretation< is nothing short of colossal. cosmo vitelli delivers a corker on the b side along with the gnarly screamapella tool
the legendary orlando voorn pops up with yet another peak time, melodic gem with all the trademark elements we ve come to expect from the man. as one of the first dutch musicians to establish a vital connection between detroit and amsterdam, orlando voorn has long been recognized as one of the netherlands most original and inventive producers in the world of electronic dance music
PLASTIC FANTASTIC
12 Inch
11.07.07
his debut album urban plastic has been hotly anticipated but its not long now because its due for release in october. what you have in your hands is the first single plastic fantastic, which features the vocal talents of ashley slater. this tune is built solely to rock the party from back to front and getting the dancefloor freakin out! anyone who has not checked out madox g toolz ep series then let the g dub be a lesson to you. proper off the hook thundering breaks hitting hard were it hurts. riva starr is a new project from madox, which has forthcoming releases on claude von strokes dirtybird and jesse roses frontroom labels. as you would expect its a bumping ride into electronic weirdness and you cant help but love it. jamie fanatic also ramps up the party vibe on his boompty remix. all in all you got yourself an excellent package of jackin mixes here.

after a fairly long break with mousevillethe production genius that is eric prydz returns under his cirez d moniker to deliver this heartstopping new weapon on his mouseville imprint. he felt it was important after the many copycat versions of his tracks to deliver something for mouseville that was not only devastating but also fresh and boy we were not disappointed!! these 2 tracks will be 2 of the biggest this year with the a side track horizons combining sublime melodies and vocoded parts with slamming drums and eric s charactaristic killer bass.the flip side is a filthy affair with huge dirty bass and killer drums which will be played as a peak time weapon by djs across many genres

>im your lover <is the first single to be taken from the forthcoming long player >take it personal< by german duo wahoo. the single features felix from basement jaxx who lends his vocalchords to the bouncy, synth infused summer time track. taking alittle of the ska rhythm the track jumps leisurely through theverses before diving head long into the hella catchy chorus. wahoo is the brainchild of berlin-based singer/ songwriter / producer georg levin and dj dixon. their first single together as wahoo >make em shake it < exploded onto the scene in 2004 on defected records.

mario fabriani joins forces with his long lost nephew fabio bacchini for a discofied romp on fetish. fabriani kicks things off with amore a driving dancefloor jam with sassy diva vocals and tough filtered bassline. a2 good god almighty makes use of a wicked sample and catchy vocal hook for some more peaktime party action. flip for fabios caribbean soul, a latin disco number reminiscent of some late 90s defected/soulfuric output and incredibly effective. lastly is moonshine another trademark bacchini samplefest, complete with disco bubbles, classic 70s strings and an abundant use of filters in all the right places.

10 Inch
03.07.07
the long a-side is reserved for bülent gürler and his project bee-low. >the hidden noise< is a neo-detroit-screw of the plus 8-hawtin school in a very popular plank of the minimal-rave. a track like evolution. antonelli digs, as >random aficionado<, a handful of melodies deep under a rave that is hardly recognizable as such one. he removed the snare completely in favor of a more effective feeling of the song. that s the way deep-house should sound and the way you always imagined it. no frowst, no references, just clear warm water. martin hirsch, alias deer, lived in devon (uk) for a long time and was an immediate neighbor of lee norris, also known as norken or metamatics. recently, the two of them have revived the connaisseur label neo ouija and that will surely do good for the cultural environment. and they have decided to start a long-ranging cooperation in terms of producing records. an outcome is >beyond the breeze<, a piece of house music whose title couldn t be more precise... sasse, giles smith, jeff milligan, laurent garnier

brill deep minimal detroit techno (dub) a la hardwax / basic channel... b2 track >minus< is actually a re-release from the 1998 >ll001< single, long out of print. since there was a steady (nearly monthly) request to make this track available again, it has been remastered and included to match the other tracks on this single. the aim of this release is to prove that a certain approach to composing and sequencing with particular sound can end in a timeless production. at the end of this process it should be standing against the times, playable in 1989, 1997, 2007 or still in 2020. individual production methods or media stay behind, as the artistic vision of shaping and mastering the sound come thru. already playing on heavy rotation in berlins clubs by local djs who got whitelabels or cdrs, this 12inch will once more become a classic to people who dont look for hype or trendy fashion but lasting sound quality.

oliver huntemann already presents the 14th release on his dance electric label. but his release policy is far from being predictable or boring. with jens mahlstedt and andré winter he presents two long time dance music protagonists for the first time united under their real names. both started their careers back in the 90ies, and both delivered stunning production work, before there was ableton live and before there were software plug-ins. these 2 tracks on dance electric prove that they are still ahead of time. these dark and floor-rocking electro trenched tracks are spiced up with bits of melody and incredible arrangements. everybody fasten seat-belts – this is a hell of a comeback...

born in australia but moving to japan in 2000, luke le mans is the main organizer of the night >quop< in osaka which focused on bringing big international djs and contribute to create a scene in the roughest japanese city. after releasing his debut ep on trapez luke is back with this 2 tracker ontrenton. much more mature, his talent as a producer are undeniable and we hope that this will be the beginning of long series of old school but yet modern minimal material for trenton. >dark helmet< has dry beats and a funky bass line with a crazy chords pattern that has some sort of a b horror movie vibe… like a minimal techno version of a dario argentos soundtrack, dark helmet will bring you out-there! the second track called >lisa< is a bit more old school but still rules and the endless loopy bass ramp that just keeps on building up will make your legs feel a bit less heavy and your mouth a bit thirstier… slg is back on trenton, but for a remix this time. after is very first ep on our label we are proud to have him back. his version of >dark helmet< is just outstanding… pure slg style, it has it all: detroit, minimal, forward, groovy… if you are still sitting in a clubs corner after hearing that on the p.a…. means that you have serious issues with being able to feel the funk!!

"this ep combines different periods of time. oldschool and newschool elements is the key element of a modern production, no matter if its nasa or both legends acquaviva & lützenkirchen to deliver a masterpiece that is functional in every possible way. sirens and oldschool stabs on one side, combined with electronic fierceness and drumming madness. the b-side "hurt me" is more agressive, sawtooth sounds modulating through every spectrum of frequencies. at least one will get your ears bleeding or just the mind blowing if youre lucky enough to survive. cologne based producer pierce gives the >satellite< original a new face with his remix. long synth build ups, reduced drumming and massive compression focus on the basic needs and desires of a rocking dancefloor: to celebrate a break, a melody and to freak out when it starts at zero again"

CHRYSANTHEMIUM EP

30.05.07
chrysanthemum ep is the first new recording from kelley polar since his hugely successful debut album released in 2005, love songs of the hanging gardens. the seeds of chrysanthemum are described by mr. polar himself as a confluence of the apocalyptic fear that permeated all cold war childhoods, comic book illustrations of blood and violence abstracted into flora and a b grade science fiction novels portraying two teens in the final throes of lovemaking as the world is destroyed in nuclear apocalypse. yet despite this decidedly dark and unique approach, the song is nevertheless pure pop catchy and indelible once heard. rosenband is lighter in subject matter yet just as deep musically, filled with synthetic layers and rhythms that reveal themselves slowly on subsequent listens. despite the immediacy of the melodies, there is a detail that permeates all of kelley polars work and rewards the attentive listener. a completely reworked instrumental version of rosenband is stretched across the b side and is dare we say it a dancefloor killer, with a long, mix friendly intro building to an incredible crescendo. the track is arranged and mixed by morgan geist and was done so with djs in mind!
