three live recorded hardware jams from abygatan, norrkoping, sweden. ntta11 are nihad tule and inter gritty, and an array of old and new machines. this ep offers a trippier take on live techno than their first 11-, but still very much pure-bred techno all the way. except the closing meta incognita, which is something else. we re not quite sure what.

early in 2013, los angeles-based live act pharaohs dropped their debut on esp institute, island time, along with tornado wallaces esp debut thinking allowed the idea being a simultaneous release followed by the artists remixing each other. well, here we have the 4th corner of the puzzle, a perfect set of jams for the tail end of summer. on side a, pharaohs themselves revisit ahumbo, inviting the neighborhood boys over for fatty then proceeding to bang the drum, while the flip side gives us the tornado wallace take on if it ever feels right, a beast of a track that nibbles but never really bites, a classy tension-builder, perfect for transitioning into.

machines meet nature on this ep, partly built around field recordings of ice movements on a frozen lake. on the a-side, sagastyr is the sound of an arctic volcano to a pounding beat. ambrym serves its icy soundscape with jacking drum patterns, and the closing mamula takes it deeper again with drones, grains and vintage drums

following suit where his 2xlp left off gunnar haslam presents a new ep for l.i.e.s. once again we see haslam find a nice balance between combining samples and hardware in his productions creating moving and atmospheric tracks, which range from slow stripped down soundtrack style cuts to more developed far out techno. mastered and cut by matt colton at alchemy.

new york techno producer shawn o sullivan makes his return to l.i.e.s. under his vapauteen moniker. after an amazing release on avian as 400ppm and a collaborative effort on the corner with beau wanzer, here we get o sullivan turning down the bpms and slowly crushing everything in sight. the a-side provides three tracks of unforgiving modular slowcore beat electronics which trudge their way to the grave, while the b-side is strictly about power electronics and harsh tone work outs. sure to piss off someone on the internet or better yet, in real life.

brand new material by marcos cabral following his false memories 2xlp archive release earlier this year. on the capri social ep we see cabral offering three varying tracks all touching upon the outskirts of house, techno and beyond as he captures the energy of the machines to create effective and engaging psychedelic excursions.

a collaborative effort between marquis cooper (svengalisghost) and lili schulder (51717), this project was born in the winter of 2013. what can best be described as non-stop electronic erotic cabaret, the duo played a series of improvised performances which served as a structural backbone prior to the recording of this album. finished in merely two weeks, this 8 song double lp acts as a complete listening experience, engrossed in the down beat primitive electronics of the past whilst pushing further into the self-created anti-beat world of today. pulsing tones, off beat drums, melancholic vocals, and overall dark vibes characterize, but do not solely define what it is to truly trust in pain. mastered and cut by matt colton for maximum impact.
